Herman Patton at Alamo car rental in Nashville, TN made our whole morning. After a short but tiring flight, Herman saw us walking towards the Alamo car rental kiosk and greeted us with the biggest smile and “good morning” and instantly all of our moods were uplifted. When they didn’t have the car available yet that we had ordered he made sure all of our accommodations were met and beyond. His personality and character made what is usually a stressful experience an exceptional one. Thank you Herman for the incredible customer service and for being the great man you are. We look forward to using Alamo again because of you! Hopefully see you again soon my friend!

They sent me off with a keyfob with a dead battery in it. So I couldn’t lock my car at my first destination (stress) and then had to find, buy, and replace the battery (time) on a very brief trip to Nashville. They had to know it was dead because they way the fob was used to start the car was a workaround (hold fob up to steering column). I called for help and the best they were willing to «offer» was for me go back to the airport. On a 24 hour trip with a packed schedule, simply not possible or even reasonable.

First time visiting Nashville. Approached the Alamo counter only to be waved over by the woman behind the National counter (I believe they’re owned by the same company?) to avoid a wait. This delightful woman’s name was Janet and she was the perfect start to our trip. She was so pleasant and we were in and out in a matter of minutes. Janet talked me into upgrading to a larger SUV (we ended up in a Cadillac, score!) and then offered some tips for our weekend at Bonnaroo. So far we are more than pleased with our Alamo experience and it is largely due to Janet and her excellent customer service.

Check-​in was the fastest I’ve ever been through, even compared to airports smaller than Nashville. No hassles when I refused the insurance (b/​c the credit card provides coverage) and the pre-​fill gas charge.
Best (and worst) part of the experience was forgetting the garment bag with the interview suit in the back of the car after drop off. Okay, so we missed our flight because we realized it during breakfast, just 35 minutes before we were supposed to leave. But the Alamo crew was helpful in hunting it down — and it took some hunting! They checked their lost and found, and eventually tracked down the car and rescued the suit. Not the ideal start to a trip home, but very thankful to have the suit back and for the help from the staff at Alamo in Nashville.

Always use Alamo because it has great rates and ease of reserving and pickup and return. this time I had to return the car early and received credit on the spot. Great company.

Great experience! Rented a small SUV on my trip to Nashville. Picked up vehicle at the airport (just what I’d hoped for: Hyundai Santa Fe Sport). The process was quick and easy, and they had my vehicle waiting. Price was the best of the competition. Service was friendly and helpful. Vehicle was clean and in perfect condition. Will definitely rent from Alamo next time.

Deducting one star because the ‘sell’ was very obvious and uncomfortable. We rented an intermediate SUV and ended up selecting a Kia Sportage. Other SUVs that we could have chosen from include: Jeep Cherokee (not the big nice one) and the Jeep Patriot. The car was super clean and well taken care of. The process to return the vehicle was very easy.
Note, if picking up from airport, go to ground floor inside the airport to find your rental company. You’ll check in and pay, then you’ll be sent for a walk. Not too bad, but don’t expect a shuttle.

I’ve used Alamo a few times now since I bought my vacation home in Nashville. We usually have excellent service. However, we were surprised to have to wait for our car to be ready on 12÷26÷15. We were not fortunate enough to be offered an upgrade such as another reviewer was offered. I guess being an Insider doesn’t get you much in these situations. The wait was about 15 to 20 minutes. Alamo still has the best pricing of all of the options.

We chose the «bypass the desk» option, and found the lot without difficulty. There were many options to choose from and the car we picked, a Toyota Corolla, had just been driven for only about 3,000. The car was the latest model, smelled new, performed flawlessly, was very powerful (considering a smaller engine) — and we spent less than $ 8 on gas for the entire week long stay in Nashville. Checkout was made fun by the lot attendant who was truly concerned that we enjoyed the car and the stay in the Nashville area. Given this and several previous experiences with Alamo — we have made Alamo our choice when renting.

We rented a car at the Nashville Airport (BNA) Alamo. They were highly rated and had the lowest prices I could find among the top ten rental companies.
Everything was very convenient with the check-​in and access to the garage. The car we reserved was not yet ready and instead of making us wait, they offered us an upgrade, which was extremely helpful to us. They had several vehicles available, making the «pick your own car» option kind of like choosing an ice cream flavor!
Everyone we dealt with was professional and courteous.
We would highly recommend Alamo to anyone.

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Get to my destination only to be told that my reservation would not be honored because there were no cars at the BNA site. Then when calling customer service after taking a cab to my accommodations I’m told to go back to the airport because the customer service representative over the phone stated they did have cars. You’re company left me stranded in an unfamiliar city.

It was our first time visiting Nashville and renting a car at Alamo BNA airport. I reviewed Unilocal before choosing a rental car company and we decided to go with Alamo since it has good reviews on Unilocal.As expected, everything is very convenient. The car is pretty new, the staff are professional and courteous. I will highly recommend Alamo to everyone.

Consistently good cars and great customer service!
My wife and I have rented from this Alamo location 4 times in the past year. They have been by far the best rental experiences we have had, including other Alamo locations!
The counter agents are friendly and don’t push too hard to sell upgrades, i.e. insurance, prepaid gas, etc.
The area where this location really excels is outside at car pickup. The employees in the garage are consistently friendly and welcoming! In addition, all the cars we’ve rented have been clean with low mileage, and were in very good condition!
I really don’t know what they could do better! Alamo has become our «go to» car rental company whenever we travel, and much of the reason is because of the great experience we’ve had in Nashville!
(And, if you are a Costco member– book your Alamo rental through Costco Car Rental! They consistently have the lowest prices (even lower than Alamo insider) and you don’t have to prepay when you book the rental! A great combination!)

Everything was great. I preregistered so all I had to do was show my printed bar code, pick out a car, and show my license at the exit. Car was almost new. All was great when I returned. Will definitely use Alamo again. Rate was excellent.

Very convenient location next to the airport. No need for shuttle, just a short walk out the front door of the airport lobby to the rental cars. Quick, easy checkout. I love being able to pick my own car. On this trip there was a problem with the first car (charging outlet had a blown fuse) that was not detected until we were 2 hours away. We called the 1 – 800 number and was told that National, Enterprise and Alamo were affiliated. We went to an Enterprise in Knoxville and they switched us into a bigger, better vehicle within a few minutes. Very Hassle free. I will definitely use Alamo again.

Convenient location in the rental facility in the garage across the street from the airport. Clean, low mileage cars and helpful service. No problem checking out or returning. You can pick your own car which is nice. Rate is usually the lowest 10 to 14 days before rental. Easy fill up at gas stations on Donelson right off I-​40 on the way to return car.

Alamo/​National are consistently the best car rentals in Nashville (where I travel 3 – 4 times per year, and have used many of the agencies).

5. I’ve had very, very long lines on multiple occasions with two other vendors, even though I’m in their frequent customer clubs.

1. Easy process is you purchase through hotwire.
2. Will be greeted with a smile.

5. Garage attendant is accommodating.
6. Hours of operation are reasonable.

Cons.
1. Associate is extremely talkative with the neighboring company.
2. Upsale tactics
3. Vehicles run poorly.
4. No longterm customer deals.
5. Vehicles are not that fuel efficient.
6. Person that checks the car out of the parking area is often missing.
7. Establishment is dingy.
8. Feel like this is the bottom of the barrel.
