Yummy! Great service and food! Highly recommended!

We went to this place just yesterday and it was fantastic. We had a large party of maybe 15 and they were extremely accommodating. Our grandmother had back issues and after the booster seat for kids or adults didn’t work a manager brought a pillow over. Our server Rema was great and very friendly. She juggled a large party and had at least three other tables to attend to. The food was great too.

The only thing that was better than the steak and appetizers we had was the incredible service we got from Debbie our server and Cassidy the bartender. Keep up the good work.

This is our second time here. Service was prompt and courteous. Chili was a tad spicy; salad was good– could use some cheese/egg(see Texas Roadhouse). My wife loved the tortilla soup. Baked potato was good-larger than most places. Veggies were tasty, fresh, and not overcooked. The stockyard steak, the main reason we’re here, was perfectly cooked as ordered(medium rare), juicy, and a pretty sizable cut. I could only finish ¾ of it. For what we got, prices were reasonable. We will be back.

We have been fans of this restaurant for years, they started changing the wine list almost weekly, ok. Then two weeks ago we went in after a couple of months. I ordered tri tip steak salad, which I love. What came out was shredded beef on top, and the steak was cold, when I questioned the waitress, the tri tip use to be at least ¼ «thick, she took it back and served the same thing again, I complained the price has gone up too. Soon a manager came over and explained, that minimum wage has gone up! What? So you increase the price and give people shredded meat! I can understand a price increase, due to wage increase, but don’t give me less! That will be the last time! Is that why you have three stars?

For Mother’s day, I wanted to get my elderly mother a good meal. She loves prime rib but at her age it is difficult for her to go out to eat. I mentioned this to RJ(owner) one day while enjoying dinner in the restaurant. He informed me that they would be able to accommodate my situation as they do catering/take-out meals whereby I could pick-up the meals and take them to her. The entire process was so simple and easy. I ordered the prime rib the day before. Went in and everything was ready. We got a half a prime rib roast, mashed potatoes, vegetables, au jus, horse radish, and garlic bread all packaged up and steaming out. The food was perfect !!! Everything cooked to perfection and tasted outstanding. No mess, no fuss for me and the price was fantastic as well. This past thanksgiving I attempted to make a prime rib at home. After many hours of work and clean up, I spent more money and the food was not near the quality as what RJ prepared for us. If you have a family function, holiday dinner, birthday party and want a delicious meal without any hassle, I highly recommend Rj’s Sizzlin Steer.

This place is average… Very hit or miss, I’ve had good food here and other times it’s horrible. Husbands family likes it so we keep given them another chance. Last visit we got steak and chicken– steak was good, chicken was dry. *Most likely be back for the fun environment on the patio! they had a live country band last time– pretty good

Super bomb country food. I genuinely love the tri tip. I could probably eat myself to death if I had enough in front of me. All the fixins are also incredibly delicious and really filling. One of the better steakhouses in the murrieta valley area and probably my #1 when I’m around.

Wow first time here and won’t be our last. The tater skins for appetizer were amazing, they weren’t pre-heated soggy small portions, they were big pieces cooked well. Ordered the specialty steak and Oh Em Gee! It was cooked to perfection, the flavor was perfect, everything was just amazing. Our waitress Brianna was very friendly too. Great place!

Very nice place… Food was average. Their teriyaki sauce tasted like a spicy BBQ sauce… And the garlic bread was very dry. Not impressed!!!

I repeat DONOT order their chicken teriyaki… the chicken was dry even with the glaze poured all over it and the teriyaki glaze tasted like alcohol… very gross! Shame on me for ordering chicken at a steak joint. Never again. However, for dessert I had the blackberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream. that was a-ok. But it was served all mushy. Service was ok, seated right away. The server was a little snappy though and rushed us when ordering and getting our check.

Bartender Neil too chatty after taking our order which he had to finish his conversation first before putting in our order. Before our appetizers came out our lunch was here. Not good then the fried chicken steak dinner was cold me tough. Maybe the dining room might be better. Let’s just say I made the call to come here next time I won’t

Disappointed that they close at 9:20 pm and a Friday, even though the sign said 10pm.

We had our company Christmas Party at RJ’s out on the patio and it was the best one we’ve had yet. They had heaters and it was plenty warm, everyone raved about the location and the food for weeks. They decorated the patio for us and we had our own wait staff and they were terrific and very helpful through the entire process. We will do it again and thank you RJ for your attentiveness as well. If you have not yet had their sirloin steak, get yourself in there, it really is top notch.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for so long. I am sad to report that it is not good at all. I ordered a steak, came dry and yucky. I ordered it medium and even with a1(which I never use) it still tasted bad. My daughter ordered the ribs, she sent them back and ordered the chicken strips. Both were not good. I ordered a salad because someone posted a delicious looking house salad. LIES! I got a prepackaged salad that looked 2 days old. Everything here was really bad. This is the first time I have rated anything 1 star.

I’ve been to this delicious Steakhouse 3 or 4 times and each time it is a great place for tasty steaks and good ‘ol Americana! The décor is very rustic in character, making you feel like your in the middle of a comfortable old western home, right out of a fictitious John Wayne Movie! Wild Bill Hickok and Annie Oakley would have loved this place, and it has a touch of class too! What I like most about this down home style restaurant is its staff. They seem to have a «Team Style» approach to servicing its patrons, where different members of the wait staff stop by to check on your table, always ensuring that you are being well taken care of! Even the management seems to stop by each time I’ve been there to let you know they care about delivering top notch service. This is a nice enough restaurant to not just take the family, but to even take a group for delicious food and a good time… Even if it does look like Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday were in charge of the décor!

I really wanted to love this place but they just didn’t make a great first impression with me. I ordered a burger and ordered avacado on it. The avacado was actually guacamole which had a very strong lime taste. I wish I would have known because it kind of killed my BBQ burger. Also, I asked for mashed potatoes with gravy on the side because I’m not always a fan of gravy but I was willing to try, but it came with the gravy on it. Not to huge of a deal but it’s important for servers to pay attention to details and special requests. The service was mediocre. Had to wait on refills a lot. The food wasn’t amazing but it wasn’t bad either so I might be back in the future to give it another try.

I haven’t had great food here in some time. When this place was back at the old location on Jefferson near Winchester it was our favorite place. I have a lot of memories of that, we used to love it. It lost all its character and became just another resturaunt when it moved to this location. The prices are very high for what it is. The food has been subpar the last 3 times we’ve come in. One of our used to be traditions was coming here for fried chicken. The 2 times I tried it lately(i thought maybe it would change with a different chef) were awful. Way overcooked, the breast is so dry you could probably add water and watch it expand and overall not worth the $ 13 or $ 14 or whatever the price is now(it keeps going up, not down. Weird for mediocre chicken). The burgers are. Well. burgers. Nothing special. It seems like the soul of the resturaunt was lost when they moved and has only become worse unfortunately. Hopefully one day they’ll turn it around.

RJ’s Sizzlin Steer offers up generous portions of steak and homey foods for an inexpensive price. It’s a nice, casual atmosphere; however, you wouldn’t be out of place if you wanted to dress up. In fact, there was a long table of festively dressed people having a celebration while we were there. Everything about RJ’s Sizzlin Steer is big: the parking lot, the interior, the pours of wine and beer, and the portions. M couldn’t finish her pour of wine(because it was too much and not because it wasn’t good wine). Grandpa’s Guinness was served in a mug the size of his head. Grandma and Grandpa always make three meals for each of them out of their two entrees! We really enjoyed our steaks and side vegetables. The steaks were cooked the way we requested. The seasoning on them was balanced insomuch as it complimented the meat. My Toasted Almond coffee cocktail was a nice treat but I’d probably try one of their others for my next visit. RJ’s Sizzlin Steer had an entire page of enticing coffee cocktails! The service at RJ’s Sizzlin Steer was good. I don’t remember too much about it, which is probably good. I like my servers to do their job, make recommendations and provide helpful descriptions, and bring the requested menu items in a timely manner. Additionally, I like it to be done with a genuinely cheerful attitude. I vaguely recall that the service at RJ’s met all of those points.

Stopped by for a quick lunch in the bar and watched some college football. The bar is quite impressive with all the various beers on draft and bottles, they also have a decent selection of tequila as well. I ordered a 25 oz. Sculpin by Ballast Point, this is their flagship beer for this local San Diego brewery. For lunch I ordered the patty melt which is their version of a Frisco burger. I had it medium rare which mad the patty extra juicy !! It was topped with American and Jack cheese along with caramelized onions. What a burger !!! As a side I had sweet potato fries which really compliment the party melt. The only negative was they showed me a dinner menu not a lunch menu, I was happy with my choices but felt this was an up-sell. Also the crowd at the bar was super youthful as their was some Irish festival going on near by. Maybe I am getting too old but to have to listen to these kids yap for an hour was a bit much, they were loud and pretty drunk.
