Their food is the bomb! Had their UFC sandwich and a chicken quinoa salad. Both dishes were wonderful! Awesome flavor! They catered at our company… now I want to know where I can find their food truck!

Carol and Robert make amazing food. We hired them to cater our wedding and they worked with us to create a menu that fit our relaxed mood and our diverse families. We had a large variety of dishes across two small buffet tables and their food truck, including American and Taiwanese dishes and vegetarian options for some of our friends and family. Everyone at our wedding seemed to have a different favorite, and we overheard a number of people insisting to whoever was closest that they should try this or that. We kept hearing about how great the food was after the wedding, too! They were also really easy to work with. Carol and Robert are incredibly friendly, met with us in person several times, and were really helpful coming up with a good mix of dishes and finalizing the quantities. And all of this still came in at a lower price than any of the more traditional caterers we’d talked to. If you want some amazing food and great people to work with, Eat on Monday is a great choice. P. S. They told us they can also do more formal catering.

When the Eat on Monday truck rolls into town you know it’s gonna be a good day. I can’t say I’ve tried everything on the menu, but the UFC sandwich is probably the best sandwich in the history of sandwiches. Maybe it’s the maple bacon, maybe its the tasty fried chicken but whatever it is it makes me happy. I just wish they had a Eat on MOnday restaurant so I could enjoy it all the time!

Ordered the UFC from Eat on Monday for the first time for lunch, loved it so much I ordered one again for dinner for me and my house mates. The chicken was well fried and tasted good together with bacon and lettuce and the sauce. Amazing food at this truck. I’m certainly coming back.

Hey, I realized there’s a new item I haven’t told you about from Eat on Monday. You know my UFC-Ultimate Fried Chicken Club? You know, that perfectly fried piece of chicken with the maple glazed bacon on an Acme roll, yeah, that one. Well, the UFC now has an Asian Cousin. It’s a Taiwanese fried chicken filet topped with a cabbage slaw w/charred scallion vinaigrette, pickled fresno chili, mustard seed mayo all on an Acme torpedo roll. Since Eat on Monday know’s I’m a wimp when it comes to spices, they put the pickled fresno chilis on the side for me. Man, I love this truck. Anyway, when the truck is nearby work, I now bring a bunch of coworkers with me. In fact, a couple of months ago, I posted we were going to hit Eat on Monday on FB, and I had coworkers, some old volleyball friends, and church friends all meet up. It was awesome to see people from my different circles all sharing great food together. It’s rare something like that ever happens. Thanks Eat on Monday!

2÷4÷16(update): Today’s «review» is more of a note to myself than a real review. I’ve eaten at this truck a gazillion times and they are extremely consistent. Today was the very first time I feel they screwed up: 1. Cheeseburger $ 9: I think pretty much all people who have had this truck’s burgers think they are the best of any food truck ever tried. Always ultra juicy and tasty. Until today! This would be the very first time they cooked the meat well-done and chewy. I dunno if it’s a new dude on the grill or what, but I’m hoping it’s a fluke. It would be a sad day if Eat On Monday declines into the abyss as most best-evers inevitably do. 5⁄10 2. Seasoned Fries $ 3: They made an adjustment a couple months ago, totally revamping their old and boring McDonald’s style fries to something with more soul. And it was a very welcomed change. But today’s was sloppy. The fries were quite dry and had a very slight taint of over-frying – you know, that sorta char-ry flavor. Color wasn’t the typically perfect bright gold… but more like a dusty orange. Again, dunno if it’s a new dude or what, but today’s fries sucked. 3⁄10 So, again, I wouldn’t take these notes too seriously until I try this stuff again. Most likely just a fluke. Everyone has bad days, and I’m pretty sure this is just one of those days. 5⁄5 until reevaluation #burger #fries

Our work catered their sandwiches and it was amazing! I don’t eat meat much, but had their UFC chicken sandwich… the chicken was amazingly seasoned. And the sauce they used was delicious! I’ll def be visiting their food truck to try other items.

Eat on Monday? If I could, I’d eat these burgers every day of the week. I’ve had their Chipotle Cheeseburger($ 9.50), Caprese Burger($ 10) and their«UFC» Club($ 10) so far, and all of them have been outrageously good. The burgers have always been perfectly cooked and had a very good balance of flavors to go along with a good quality bun. The UFC Club chicken sandwich is hands down the best chicken sandwich I have ever had(and yes, that includes Chick fil-a, people) — it’s got a crispy breaded crust with moist breast meat inside. If you love burgers(or chicken sandwiches), look no further. This is where you need to be eating.

We had Robert and Carol cater dinner at my daughters’ b-day party. It was a huge success. Food was hot and cooked just right. The hamburgers, UFC, pulled pork, and Tonkatsu curry rice were all winners. At the end of the day, our guests were all left smiling. They have other amenities that mattered to me: 1) a super clean food truck, 2) trash/recycling cans, and 3) an audio system to play tunes. Their product is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. They serve quality food and are super accommodating. Highly recommended.

Yummmmmmmmyyyyyyy!!! Loved their UFC club at Eat Real this past weekend. Perfect combination of fried chicken and maple bacon on a roll. Tried the hubby’s chipotle burger and that was yum as well. Great addition to Eat Real. Hope they’ll be at Off the Grid and/or other events in the future.

Thank you Eat Real Festival for bringing this delicious truck into my life. Clearly this was a day of gluttony but what’s life if there’s not good food and company? Oh that’s right, boring! Stephanie and I were of course hungry and those lines were ridiculous. This had a moderate line so it sounded like a win to our bellies. Why the line was so short is beyond me. The Mini UFC club is a fun twist on the BLT. Fried chicken to perfection, bacon for the win, lettuce and tomato, with a yummmmmy sauce. Here’s why they get 5 stars: fried calamari taco. Yes. I never would have thought of this but not only was it genius it was sooooooooo good. It was a spin on the fish taco that I couldn’t get enough of. So if you see this in your area, give it a go. from me!

Eat on Monday hails from south bay locale: eat real ‘15 menu: UFC(ultimate fried chicken), calamari taco, baby blue cheeseburger(6) eats: calarmari taco(3.5) –cuz i rarely eat bacon or cheeseburgers –calamari crunchy, not greasy, smothered by veggies fresh tasting, no aftertaste-very important(indicates quality ingredients used, not frutose, msg, additives, etc. 3.5 stars crumbs: –other offerings better value, selling at eat real cheaper than at other locations –short line when i ordered, food ready in 5 minutes… –staff really professional… so rare in food truck biz…

I had their UFC Club sandwich, which consists of a piece of fried chicken cutlet, tomatoes, maple bacon, and lettuce on a roll. Overall, a decent sandwich, and the maple glazed bacon was a nice touch, though it also wasn’t mind blowing. It was also rather expensive, at $ 10 for the sandwich. That being said, their service was rather fast, even for a food truck, which I appreciated.

You have never had a chicken sandwich unless you’ve had it at Eat On Monday. Don’t worry, you can have it on other days, too. It’s like Abbott and Costello when I tell people where I’m eating. Co-worker: So, where are you eating for lunch today, Jamie? Me: Eat On Monday Co-worker: But, it’s Tuesday. Me: Yeah, I know. The truck is called Eat On Monday Co-worker: But, it’s Tuesday. Me: It’s just the name of the truck. That’s all. They serve every day. Co-worker: Is there an Eat On Tuesday? Me: …I need to find a new job… While this truck has some delicious burgers and sandwiches, the go-to item is the UFC Club. It’s basically a chicken sandwich on steroids and went to the gym 6 days a week. It also did crossfit and was training for the Disney Marathon. Ok, you get the idea. But, if not, it’s buttermilk fried chicken with maple glazed, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and house spread all on an ACME roll. It may not sound like much, but when you bite into it, you will know exactly what I’m talking about. The chicken is crunchy, the bacon is sweet and pairs well with the savoriness of the chicken and house spread. The lettuce and tomato give it a freshness and crunch. Also, the bread can’t be overlooked as it is soft and makes your sandwich easy to eat. Like I said, I have had their burgers and other sandwiches before and they are all delicious! But, whenever I go here, I always go with the UFC. The guys and girls on the truck are pretty cool. The schedule is posted every week, usually on Mondays. They do a ton of catering, so unfortunately, they are not available publicly every day. Make sure to follow them on social media, too, because sometimes they might plan to be somewhere, but have to cancel due to a catering event. TLDR: Get the UFC Club… even on Tuesdays.

Eats on Monday catered a company event I helped planned and they were wonderful! Extremely quick and responsive via email and was a pleasure to work with. Their food… BOMB. I had their UFC burger and it was delicious! My husband had three of their sliders and ate them all without offering me any… So I guess they were good too: D Would definitely eat at this truck again and use them as a caterer! THANKYOU: D

I was visiting the area from Philadelphia and used Unilocal to find a lunch truck in the area. The reviews didn’t disappoint, the UFC sandwich was a perfect sandwich. Fried chicken and bacon? How can you go wrong? Friendly staff and well worth the cost.

This is another one of my favorite food trucks. They give out cards with numbers when you order your food & call out your number when your food is ready. Actually, do they still do that? I don’t remember getting numbers for a while. Here’s a funny thing about the numbers: The first time I had their food a couple years ago, it was at a group of food trucks at some school(middle school?) somewhere in San Jose or Santa Clara for dinner on a Friday, and I got #13, and it was windy, so their sign/menu blew into me. Lucky me, huh? Several months ago, I got #88(if you know about Chinese numerology, you know that 8 is consider a lucky number). Part of the reason I remember this is because I took pics of the numbers both times. Anyway, I’m not really into numerology other than for entertainment. Anyway, most recently, I’ve been getting their food at either Moveable Feast in Willow Glen or Off the Grid: Sunnyvale in the South Bay. I’ve had a variety of items off of their menu, such as the tacos(fried calamari, short rib, shrimp, pork belly), UFC(fried chicken sandwich), bacon blue burger, chipotle cheese burger(I was afraid that the chipotle cheeseburger was going to be too spicy, so they let me sample the sauce first before I decided), classic cheese burger, pulled pork sandwich, tonkatsu sandwich, & possibly more that I can’t remember I’ve enjoyed everything, but I think my favorite is the fried chicken sandwich. Their menu does rotate, so they don’t always have the tacos or all of the sandwiches. I would have to say that they most consistently have the burgers & the UFC when I’ve gone. I have gotten to be friends with the owners through another friend & the multiple visits, so now, in addition to getting their food, it’s always fun to see if they’re working when I show up at their truck-they’re cool people! Their name Eat on Monday came from the fact that they started off as a pop up at Café Yulong in Mountain View on Mondays. Café Yulong has since closed(in 2012, I believe). To find out where they will be, you can use their blog/website, Facebook, or twitter. Website: Twitter: @eatonmonday

«UFC» Club Sandwich + Seasoned Fries The torpedo roll the sandwich came on was fresh and soft. The Buttermilk fried chicken had great flavor and was not too crispy! Lettuce was bright green and fresh along with the tomato. The sandwich tasted so fresh I felt it was truly homemade! The bacon on the sandwich did not interfere but instead complimented the flavor of the buttermilk fried chicken! Fries were good, not oily and well seasoned. They were generous with the seasoning… made for great flavor in every fry! In one sentence: tasty, fresh and flavorful sandwich that put a smile on my face to a gloomy Thursday!

Eat on Monday is still my favorite food truck. Unfortunately, they are not at Moveable Feast Willow Glen as often as they used to be. Luckily they were there recently and I got to have my favorite baby blue burger. Since I am doing no carbs, they wrapped the burger and toppings in big pieces of lettuce. And the burger was still delicious. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. I will be back as often as I can.

Three more things I love about Eat on Monday: #1. The tonkatsu sandwich. You know tonkatsu, that Japanese, panko crusted deep fried pork cutlet? Well, Eat on Monday will periodically(if Bob & I beg enough) add their tonkatsu sandwich into the menu mix. I’m not saying I like the tontaksu sandwich more than my beloved UFC, but sometimes I just crave that crispy pork cutlet topped with pickled red onions, finely shaved cabbage & pea pods, drizzled with tonkatsu sauce, and all nestled in soft Japanese bread. Mmm #2. The new chimichurri aioli. If they happen to have it, get it and dip your french fries in it. yum! I told Eat on Monday they should start slathering that sauce on sandwiches too. Haven’t seen that put into action yet, but keep your eyes out for it. #3. Community support. Eat on Monday generously donated some T-shirts and gift cards to my nonprofit company for raffle prizes. After dinner on Friday, I thought of ONEMORE reason why Eat on Monday is my absolute favorite food truck. #4. Mini UFC. I know I have waxed poetically about the UFC-Ultimate Fried Chicken Club time and time again, but I just had a mini UFC the other day. I think the bacon to sandwich ratio was even higher than normal. Anytime I can get more maple-glazed bacon with every bite of my sandwich, the happier my tummy. Okay, so there you have it. 4MORE reasons to love Eat on Monday. Now go. Find them. Eat their food. Become loyal fans. You’re welcome.

Tried their cheeseburger and fries. Nimen Ranch beef served here. I had high hopes after reading the other reviews, Unfortunately, the burger was just OK. There wasn’t much flavor in the meat. The salted fries were tasty, fresh, and hot though! Reminded me of McDonalds’. My friends tried their chicken sandwich and pull pork. They both loved it so Ill try those next time.

Best things to get at this truck(ranked in terms taste): 1. Ultimate fried chicken(UFC) sandwich. 2. Fries + Aioli sauce 3. Pulled pork sandwich 4. Tonkatsu sandwich Tried out their tonkatsu sandwich today. I was lucky and got the last one(they ran out of tonkatsu sauce fast). It was interesting because they used white bread for the sandwich. The tonkatsu was nicely fried and topped with slaws and japanese pickled ginger. Although I think it’s inferior to their UFC.

Fried Chicken Sandwiches have traditionally been overhyped in my opinion. Bacon Bacon’s was flavorless and even the strips of bacon couldn’t save it . The extremely overrated Bakesale Betty’s was dry on the inside, soggy on the outside and tasted like pricy cardboard; the only thing i liked in that sandwich was the somewhat spicy and vinegary slaw. So when my friend declared Eat On Monday’s Ultimate Fried Chicken(UFC) the best fried chicken sandwich he’d EVER had, i was extremely skeptical. It didn’t help that I’m not a white meat fan; it’s never as juicy or flavorful or silky as dark meat. But i was game. Game to dispute his claim. Boy, was i wrong. After a 30 min wait(even with 5 people working in the truck, the lines just don’t move that quickly…), we finally got our order(2 UFCs and 4 tacos between the 2 of us. Don’t judge). — UFC: Perfectly fried chicken with strips of bacon sandwiched between crusty buns. The chicken was delicious, and the portion was huge, spilling out of the buns. I layered on a generous portion of sriracha which took the sandwich to quite another level. it’s been a week and i’m still dreaming of this sandwich — Tacos: I’m not a fan of corn tortillas; they’re always dry and take away from the taco itself unless it’s fresh off the flat top. I wish people would stop using them(or at least have flour tortilla options) Short ribs: rich and tasty Fried Shrimp: i liked this the best; not too rich, very flavorful Pork belly: juicy and flavorful Calamari: interesting. Never had a calamari taco before. Highly recommend the UFC at this food truck. Well-played, Matt. Well-played
