I’m a regular here… great price for a great haircut. The only reason I left one star off is it seems lately, the quality and length of the shampoo and then shoulder massage is declining. I mean, for the price, I’m not looking for anything too lengthy, but a couple of stylists in particular seem like that part of it is an inconvenience and they are doing whatever they can to finish the appointment. This is part of what you market to get customers in, so you’d think there would be some sort of standard in place that all stylists should follow. If they are just going to provide the quickest shampoo ever and then use the massager on your back for about 8 seconds… why even bother? But otherwise, great haircuts and it’s a much better value than their competitors.

I really liked the hair cut I have with April. Also, April has great customer service. I had tried many hair stylists at different places and won’t go back to any of them. I finally found the right place to have my hair cut. Thanks April.

I made an appointment over the phone for 2:20 pm, and was told that if I were going to be any later than 5 minutes to the appointment, to make sure and call. At that point I’m thinking, oh good, they like to honor their appointments. So I arrive at 2:19pm and sign in on the sheet, thinking«oh good, perfect timing» There are 3 other people in the room as well. 2:30 rolls around, all 3 were admitted and I’m sitting there alone. At 2:30 one of the stylists apologizes and says it’ll be «10 more minutes, is that okay?» I said that’s fine and continue waiting. At 2:40, 2 more people walk in, one of them gets seated and the other apparently had later appointments for two people, and had to reschedule them(there seemed to be some confusion). At 2:50(I have now been waiting 30 minutes), there is a lady who has been standing at the computer for approximately 5 minutes, another person comes in and AGAIN they get seen before me(they were with the party that had a confused start time). So I am extremely upset at this point and I walk up to the counter and am like«what is going on here? I had a 2:20 appointment and all these people are going in front of me». The lady at the computer simply looks up and says«i’ll take you now». No apology, no nothing. The haircut itself was not bad, and the stylist was polite, but I have limited time here while i’m visiting my family on vacation, and I don’t appreciate wasting 2 hours of my day for what should have been a 1 hour outing. After she got done with the haircut, she never asked if I like it or not or if the length was correct, she just started cleaning up as if there was no possible way I couldn’t be happy with the job she did.(She did a good job, but at least ask if everything is to my liking before getting me out the door?) At the end of the haircut, I ended up still tipping the stylist 25%, and she didn’t even thank me. Maybe she was expecting more? I do have to say that the price was really good for what you get. These same services in CA would probably cost around $ 25, and was only $ 12 here. I’m not sure what the median cost for these services are in NC, but they seemed very good to me.

Hi This place is utter mess. Had to rgo back twice due to their short staff. This time took appointment 11.40 and they made me wait almost half hour. All thru say is their receptionist messed up and some one will be with me in 3 min almost 10 min back. this place is bs. They took walk ins before me because I was assigned to a stylist. If you have lots of time to waste n don’t care for customers service.. You are most welcome here.

Ever since Guys Place opened in the neighborhood, I’m a regular. Not only me, my sons are their loyal customers too. I’ve seen April a few times, Britney or Brittany twice, Vernita(I think that is the name) once and a couple times when it was a different stylist and I did not ask the name. I have generally not been disappointed. The shoulder massage is the best part about going to GP.

I have always loved the Guys place. I have been going to them for last 4 – 5 years even though they were 16 miles from where I lived. Yes, I travel 16 miles to get a hair cut :-$. Their meeting st location rocks. Since, these guys were less than 6 miles from where I live, I decided to give them a shot. I was surprised they upped their other location. These guys use conditioner apart from just shampooing. The other one at meeting st didn’t do it. And the neck/shoulder massage were a bit longer but that depends on how much time your stylist has between her commitments. The stylist that I had was friendly. Bottom line: Great move by Guys Place. Definitely worth a visit for the services that they provide.

The Guy’s Place is no different from the other hack hair cutting shops in town such as Great Clips, Fantastic Sams and Super Cuts. They all hire people off the street that have very little experience. You never know if they know what they are doing until it’s too late. It’s a craps shoot
