It’s a vey cute place and the tea and food is good. However the service is severely lacking. So much so that I’m not sure id return. They do NOT like children there. Or even customers that appear young. It’s definitely an older crowd. These senior customers are simply put treated better and receive better service.

My husband and I visited recently, and we will pleasantlysurprised. The Tea Room is 2 floors, and decorated shabby chic with an extra Twist of cuteness. Tea is loose leaf, and you get your own pot. Lee’s Sandwiches comma salad and soup for all delicious. We did have a piece of cake, at the end of our meal and it was the best cake I have ever tasted, very dense and full of flavor. It did take a long time for our food to come out, but the chef came out and apologize and explain the reason, which mean I understand and help us not be upset for waiting so long. I will also mention that my husband was one of the only men in the restaurant, but if you can get your husband to go, I think he’ll enjoy it too!

I threw a baby shower at Letty Mae’s and would highly recommend it. Jan, the new owner, was easy to communicate with and very organized. I opted for the soup and ½ sandwich package; it included beverages and dessert as well. The price was very reasonable especially considering we had the whole place to ourselves and didn’t have to decorate(I love their vintage décor!). The food– wow. The chicken salad sandwich(I forget the actual name of it) on a croissant was a big hit with my group and the colorful fruit garnish on the vintage plates really made the meal look special. Try the chicken pot pie soup– you’ll thank me later. There were several choices for dessert but I chose 2 cakes– one chocolate and one vanilla. They. Were. Incredible. Fresh, obviously made with high quality ingredients and flavorful are how I’d describe them. One of my guests is a professional baker and she was floored. Thank you Letty Mae’s for sharing this wonderful place!

Love this special place for lunch! The décor reminds me of my great-grandmother’s home: feminine and dainty, mindful of details. The food is delicious and fresh — I highly recommend the cold strawberry soup(they offer samples for the skeptical) and chicken salad sandwich with a strawberry lemonade! This is a special place to enjoy lunch with your girlfriends or the gals in your family — I recently enjoyed a two-hour lunch there with a friend, and never once did we feel rushed. There are fresh baked goods that I had no room for — but they looked decadent! Next time, I will definitely plan to save room for dessert or bring a cupcake home for later! In sum: wonderful atmosphere, fabulous food, and special memories.

Nice atmosphere. The food was fresh and tasty, excellent soup. It was a bit pricey I thought, but the service was great and it is a fun place to go.

I really love this place! They have a good selection of sandwiches and salads. I ordered their chicken salad and it was huge, so I had plenty of leftovers. It’s in a great area in Morris, right next to multiple little shops.

Cool place in downtown Morris. Hours are limited to lunch and only open Tues-Saturday. Menu is not huge but has a good selection of soups, sandwiches, wraps, and salads. The strawberry salad with chicken was good. The soup of the day was Chicken Tortilla was good. Service was good. Prices were reasonable. If you’re looking for something other than fast food or bar food in Morris, give this place a try.

Had a birthday lunch here on Saturday. Our group of 9 had reservations at 10:30. Service was good and friendly. It took 75 minutes before we got food. Ended up 2 hour lunch due to time to get food. Food was all good.

GEM… Whether you go with girlfriends or with your spouse this is a gem of a restaurant. The atmosphere is my favorite part! From the dishes, tables & chairs, and all around décor, you won’t be disappointed. It’s warm and inviting. I loved a table cloth and was able to purchase it right off the table. Let’s not forget the food. Where do I start… The soups –my favorite thing on the menu! The sandwiches are all very fresh and tasty. Be aware, if there is an event going on in town you might have to wait a while to either be seated or to eat once you are seated. It can be painfully slow on a busy day. On a normal day they are very punctual. That being said, It is still worth going for the atmosphere and food. A great dining experience!

I’ll go counter-culture here, and start with the food. Which was great. I ordered the beef sandwich, and my wife went with the Cobb Salad(which was an egg salad sandwich, with tomatos and onions. Both sandwiches were served on fresh swirled bread, with a thick slice of tomato, onions you could actually taste, and sauce. However, we started with their soup — they had a spinach bisque that was mixed with a cheesy broth, and it was really good. We finished up with a slice of their chocolate cake that we shared. Now, for the décor — it’s like going back in time to your great aunt’s kitchen, from the lamp on the table to the coffee cups and flatware. Everything in the place for the guests is retro-deco, and it played off nicely. The place was packed for lunch on Friday, so factor that into your plans. We were seated promptly, but it took a few minutes for the harried server to pick up our order. She was good though, and stayed in touch with us throughout our stay. She and the other waitress were cheerful beyond reproach. I wish I could bottle that kind of cheerfulness. Good stuff, all around.

This place is adorable! I’m getting more and more into tea and liked the various packaged teas they had on sale in the front room. I went with my mom and her friend when I came back to visit home, so I was pretty excited when they said we were coming here. Unfortunately, I think everyone else in town had the same idea so we had to wait about twenty minutes while the one overwhelmed cashier tried to clear tables, as well as work the register in the front. When we did get a table I instantly fell in love with the dining area. Tea cups hung from a huge, beautiful Christmas tree and cute aprons hung across the ceiling. The menu is not huge, but it’s quaint and simple. Great blend of teas and just a welcoming, calming atmosphere. I definitely hope to return.

This place is a gem! Great food… loved the strawberry soup! Everyhing on the menu is homemade from scratch. The ladies that work there are delightful, and the décor is eye candy. Plenty of shops afterwards to walk off the calories. I can’t wait to go back!

You will love this place the minute you hit the door — it is decorated in a shabby chic style. Isn’t that a great way to call old slightly used but funky and fun decorative pieces? I think middle age needs to be rebranded, think about it while you read the review. All the tables are set with vintage tablecloths, tea cups and napkins that go together but don’t match. There is a glass top on each table with the menu under the glass top at each place. Clever and useful. There are the normal ladies do lunch type choices of sandwiches, muffins, salads, soup, beverages and combinations. I had A Strawberry salad with greens, chicken, cucumber, sprouts, red onion, strawberries, pecans, parmesan and croutons. It came with a cup of strawberry soup and a blueberry muffin. I gobbled up every bit of it and enjoyed fresh iced tea along with it. My girlfriend and I split the Neopolitan cake and I had a pot of Cinnamon plum tea for dessert. Lovely! If you live in the Chicago area, this is a great destination spot for lunch. Bring your Mom or a friend. You are very welcome for this tip and now I would like to know the new way to describe«middle age» — ready, go! Fine, you can message me.
