Went to stuffed on lunch with a few coworkers. The place is super small but it has what you need. The menu offers a handful a options but there is always the option to order your own. I made my own, did a beef burger with sauteed mushrooms and all the free stuff that comes with it, lettuce, tomato, onion(up charge of 1.25 for the mushrooms… which seems a little high for the burger size) and Havarti cheese. The burger was good, the bread was fantastic. The burgers are definitely underwhelming in size than I was anticipating. Frankly, I liked that they weren’t MASSIVE but it is something to note for the price. Then again, you are getting ‘all natural grass fed burger’ so the price is arguably fair in that regard. They do offer the burger to be served on a bed of lettuce as well which is a nice touch. Place is good, burger was good I’ve had better to be honest but I also made my own and didn’t order one of their signatures. I’m not sure I can push myself to spend about 12 $ on a burger without any sides in the near future though. If you want a good burger that’s not going to kill your insides, this is definitely an option. I don’t find myself craving burgers often so it might be awhile before I can update you further. Anyway– check em out for yourself!

Really great food, especially the Bacon Jam Fries, which are addictive. My only criticism is that periodically the only staff working(other than the cook) are teenagers. They are nice, just not professional and really in need supervision. It’s frustrating to be the only customer in the restaurant and hear the cook repeatedly yell«food’s up» while the teenager at the counter obliviously continues to stare at her cell phone. This won’t deter me from going back, because the great food outweighs this small gripe, but hopefully the owner will read this and fix the problem.

Holy effing poo. The breakfast burger is AMAZING. My boyfriend got the Jersey Burger and he said it was one of the best burgers he’s ever had. It’s cooked to perfection, it’s not too hot(even when they first bring it out), it’s not too large of a serving but it’s not too small, and it’s just DELICIOUS. I also got a chocolate milkshake that went perfectly with the burger(I’m fully aware that I may die of a heart attack later). Price wise, it wasn’t terrible. You’re in Montclair so you’re not going to pay Newark prices. But you get what you pay for. For two burgers, one with fries, a small milkshake, and two soft drinks, it was about $ 35. We will DEFINITELY be coming back.

Came for a late lunch on a Monday… I ordered the classic, with cheddar of the inside served with lettuce, tomato, mayo, pickle, and onions. My brother got the bacon cheeseburger… had lots of cheese. Both burgers were really good. The beef was definitely good quality. Had the regular fries and they were good too. The only negative that I saw was that the beef was a little over cooked, making it a bit dry. If I told them I wanted it cooked medium, I sure they would have accomadated. Great overall burger!

The four of us gave this place a try. I had the breakfast burger and it was cooked perfectly. My wife had the original and said it was good. The kids each had the kids cheeseburgers and said they were ok. Kids also had milkshakes but said they weren’t anything special. Overall, this place was good but for $ 50 it was a bit pricey for a burger joint.

Great food… quaint…personable service. I’ll be back. Long way from Jersey City but worth the hike. The original stuffed and Montclair blue burgers were great. The mac n cheese egg roll was interesting enuf to order. Actually enjoyed it with the honey mustard sauce. The Jam bacon fries were good and garlicky… would have liked my fries a little lighter but it didn’t distract from the taste.

Not bad, not great. I had one of the specials, a turkey burger stuffed with Havarti and topped with bacon, lettuce & tomato. It was a good juicy burger but barely had any cheese at all — maybe one bite of cheese. My hubby got the Mac & cheese burger which he enjoyed(I had a bite, better than mine). His fries were also very good but we totally should have gotten the bacon jam fries. Perhaps next time if we give it another shot. Small place, more for take-out or a quick casual bite.

We’ve been here twice and both times I’ve been pretty underwhelmed with the burgers. They always seem tough(overcooked) and the cheese stuffed patty just seems gimmicky — no one ever complained about cheese on top. In fact, my son’s junior burger(not stuffed, just regular with cheese on top) was juicier and far more delicious than my own. On a positive note, the place is cute, small but lots of seating, clean, and the staff is friendly. There is a TV to watch sports on, and there’s a parking lot in front so that’s one less thing to worry about. The fries were fresh cut and thicker, if that’s your thing.

I walked in with high expectations seeing that it was voted best of Essex. My wife and I both ordered a burger with fries. They were adequate. We also ordered the Mac and cheese egg roll which was paired with their homemade barbecue sauce. It looked good but the eggroll didn’t have much flavor, and barbecue sauce wasn’t a good condiment for it. The place is cute and clean, but small. As we drove away, my wife and I were trying to figure out where to do an early dinner next time, a sign that were not going to quickly return.

Coming here is always a delight but over the summer someone brilliant decided to come up with one of the THE best burgers I’ve ever had. The glazed doughnut burger with help from the Montclair bread company which is award winning on its own. My goodness only a genius could come up with such a wonderful burger that leaves me in a euphoric state after having it. The fact that there is a limited quantity by the day makes it even more delicious. Just when I didn’t think it could get better — the made always available. When it first came out it was only for July dubbed the America burger. But after realizing what a wonderful creation they had made, it was wisely added to the menu much to my enjoyment. Oh how I love this burger which is how Stuffed, you’ve gone from great, to GRRRREAT as Tony the tiger would say.

I was on a mission to find the«donut burger» came here and was completely wowed!!! The burger was made perfectly medium, moist with great season. The bacon and cheese were great additions. The glazed donut used as a bun was fresh, sweet and completed the burger. I will be back and highly recommend this as a «cheat day» meal. The staff was awesome and the tvs/bar like setting is a great touch to the place.

I tried the Turkey Club Burger and it was delicious. The thing that surprised me was that it had cheese filling inside the burger(obviously I didn’t read the menu thoroughly haha) but it was so good. Overall, I think this place is perfect if you want a burger but need a healthier option — it is a bit pricey though, about 11 dollars for just the burger.

I wanted to love this place, if for nothing else than the simplicity of the name. But I left with a bit of disappointment. I got a customized burger, with cheddar cheese and bbq sauce on a potato bun– somehow I found the resolve to resist fries and a shake. The burger itself was definitely high quality meat as advertised, good size and cooked as ordered. The stuffed cheese was underwhelming and didn’t pack much flavor, and the bbq sauce was the overly sweet kind rather than the classic type I was craving. The worst part, however, was the bun, which seemed a little stale. I can see the potential of this place and will give it another shot eventually, but for now — it’s a solid«meh».

I came here once, gave myself enough time to either: a) crave a burger enough to force myself to give them another try; or, b) be coerced into getting another burger from here — but I never went back. The bacon jam burger I had was just okay. The stuffed cheese inside the burger was hardly noticeable by sight or my tastebuds. If anything the brioche bread used for the burger subdued any beef taste but I don’t go to a burger joint for the bread, you know what I mean? Also, the bacon jam was a little too sweet for my liking. I ate in, ordered a side of fries and waited… and waited. It was about 15 minutes for a burger and some fries. That realllllly sucks when you’re hungry and you watch another table that ordered after you get fries while you continue to wait. I’ve had organic, grass-fed burgers before and this is one that just wasn’t worth the price tag. I was very underhelmed and left still craving a burger after consuming one(that’s the worst!). I was once excited for this place but unfortunately my first experience was my only experience as Stuffed Burgers failed to take me to burger nirvana.

Update time! On my 2nd visit here, went with a vanilla milkshake and bacon jam burger with fries. Fries were still amazing but the shake saddened me especially because of the hefty price. A good milkshake to me entails slurping delicious creamy, semi-thick, rich flavor in every slurp you take and don’t want to take your lips off the straw! Thankfully it was not icy but I strongly felt disappointed and pretty much gave up on it. With the bacon jam burger, my only gripe was it was a little to sweet for my buds.

Went with the Bacon Jam Burger(seasoned grass fed beef, stuffed with Havarti cheese, bacon jam, roasted garlic aioli, arugula, served on a brioche bun). The burger was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The garlic aioli was certainly noticeable, but not overwhelming. The bun was fresh and I liked the addition of the arugula. The bacon jam, however, was just a little too sweet for my taste, and I love sweet. It reminded me of cranberry sauce. The hand cut fries were delicious, but the vanilla shake didn’t do it for me. It wasn’t thick enough for my taste and frankly, I didn’t like the ice cream. The biggest problem I see with this place is the pricing. The burger, fries and shake came to almost $ 25. That’s ridiculous. I didn’t mind the $ 10.95 pricing on the burger(the highest priced burger on the menu), or even paying $ 2 extra for fries(that’s the price if you order a burger; $ 3 if you don’t). But $ 7.95 for a 22 oz. shake? Are you kidding me? That’s an average price in the area for an entire half gallon at ice cream shops that specialize in homemade ice cream. At least the shakes are a product of scooped ice cream that’s then blended versus ice milk from the machine. So there’s probably a labor cost factor going into the shakes, but still. As for the pricing, they could adjust it by raising the price of the fries and lowering the price of the shakes. They could easily get $ 4 for a side of fries, regardless of whether you order a burger. This is on par with what places like Smashburger charges(whose fries aren’t even fresh) and ZinBurger(who charges $ 6 for their truffle parmesan hand cut fries). As for the shakes, they’d probably sell more if they dropped the price to $ 5.95. After all, who doesn’t like a shake with their burger and fries?(In full disclosure, they offer a 16 oz. shake for $ 4.95.) Warning: You will leave this place smelling like the burger you order. It’s tiny, the ventilation isn’t great and it’s hot.

OK, but not a ‘drive out of my way’ kinda place for me. I love the concept, but for beef that tasted only of whatever seasoning they use(and only 5 ounces of meat) it’s overpriced for what they deliver. Great Balthazar bun, darn good fries, but when you walk away hungry from a $ 10.95 bacon jam burger. .. They did cook my burger as race as you can and still get a little cheese ‘oozing’ in the center, which is AT the center of their concept. And it was much better than the dry, hockey puck cheese stuffed ‘Juicy Lucy’ attempt by Tiff’s Burger and Ale I had last summer. The two kids running the joint were pleasant, and the place was spotless, so points for that. Make it a half pound burger and I’d go back.

Stumbled upon Stuffed Burgers after doing some reading online and decided to come here for dinner because I liked the concept. There aren’t many places that you can get antibiotic and hormone free grass fed beef. Upon arrival, I was actually quite surprised by the ambiance(I thought it would be much nicer since these are gourmet burgers). This burger joint is a bit of a hole in the wall. It is rather small — fits about 24 seats. You order at the counter(like you would at Smashburger — except Smashburger has a better atmosphere) and one of the staff members will come to you to give you your food when it’s ready. I thought the burgers were very flavorful and juicy. I ordered the Bacon Jam Burger(grass fed beef, Havarti cheese, bacon jam, roasted garlic aioli, and arugula served on a Brioche bun) and I enjoyed it. Havarti cheese was oozing out every time I took a bite out of my burger. All beef patties should be like this — stuffed with cheese! Note: Eating this burger will be extremely messy and sticky! We also ordered the Bacon Jam fries which were delicious. I highly recommend trying them. However, I wish the service was better. Why? Because when our burger came out, the staff member said our fries would be out soon. However, that was not the case. I had to ask the staff member where our fries were after we were done with our burgers(and I was trying to eat my burger very slowly too — enjoying each bite because the portion size isn’t big). They totally forgot about it and it wasn’t even that busy. I think the staff needs to smile more, be a little happier, and act like they want to be there because I didn’t get a friendly vibe when I walked in. I would try Stuffed Burgers again. Prices are higher than your average burger considering the portion size you are getting but that’s because the quality of the beef is better than your typical restaurant. One thing I did notice when I was dining in was that the ketchup that they use here has high fructose corn syrup. I was surprised at that because I would expect a gourmet burger joint to use better quality products. I didn’t touch it because it’s not needed with the Bacon Jam burger but it’s just a suggestion.

Great burgers, friendly staff and an awesome set up! I love the idea of grass fed beef, which is nice knowing that you ate an awesome burger and won’t feel bad about it later. Had the bacon jam burgers and bacon jam fries and they were amazing. Definitely worth coming back to and a new favorite.
