Truly one of the worst pawnshop buying experiences I have ever had. I am a local resident in Monrovia, and from time to time I will go into this pawnshop just to look at the items on display. On more than one occasion I have witnessed the extremely indifferent/rude attitude the employees use towards the patrons. They find it ok to speak down and bully them, I am not sure how this store manages to stay in business. I can only assume it is from lowballing sellers and overcharging patrons. I honestly felt like I was at a really dirty used car lot. I attempted to sell a Nintendo Wii complete with 2 controllers and a game and they offered 50 dollars stating it was not an item they really wanted to sell. I asked if I could get someone else in the back behind the«magic door» for a different number. The manager came out and asked why I was giving his salesgirl a hard time. I asked for just another estimate, and he said he would give me 50 dollars or I could leave and stop wasting his time. I promptly left and sold the console on craigslist for $ 125 the very next weekend. Extremely rude, Extremely poor customer service. Stay away!!!

I’m writing this review as a customer who bought something not pawned. This pawn shop is located in the old town part of Monrovia, it does not look like a dirty store where crackheads pawn the crap they had stolen. On top of that the staff in the location they look and act professional they are very customer service oriented. Also they do have a mix of items for sale, they have the basic watches and rings and everything under the sun that is gold or silver. Also they sell instrument and other memorabilia like baseball cards, jerseys and such. The items they have are priced moderately and keep in mind in a pawn shop you can negotiate a price. Which so happens to be the case why I went here. I was looking for a replacement ring for my wife engagement ring.(FYI she still wears the original too she not a gold digger) Anyway she found the perfect one which was a Amethyst ring with small diamonds. The price was hoovering around the 400 range managed to get it down to the high 200’s. So on top of that they have a lay away program which I used. After I paid off the ring they also had the resizing service which was perfect in this case. Other than that this place is A+ classy and I recommend to all.
