The town of Moab is amazing for the outdoor fanatic and I feel like Mcstiffs is a great fit for the atmosphere of the town. We decided to hit it up after we spent our day up at the Arches. I was seriously craving a good burger, like most of the time, and I heard Mcstiffs could deliver when it came to burgers. Everyone else ordered the Cowboy Burger and I ordered the Southern Burger, which had a green chili and salsa on it. My burger was delicious and really large. It filled me up pretty good. The french fries were really good too. Dont sell yourself short and make sure you get the fries here! Overall it was a great place to grab a burger. All the workers were really friendly but professional at the same time. I didn’t look at any of the workers and think to myself«you don’ belong.» They all stepped up to their job and it was great. Our waiter was a nice guy. I did hear that the last time my girlfriend was here with her friend the waiter said something REALLY inappropriate, leaving them a little bit speechless. He eventually came back and apologized multiple times but that’s just something you don’t do! That really sat wrong with me. Our experience this time was great though. It would be a great place to grab a drink and chill for a little bit as well. I would advise this to tourist passing through if you want some great food while enjoying this awesome town. I’m sure summer will be great with the outdoor seating as well.

We went for dinner on Thanksgiving night. Service was OK but they did need about 15 mins to seat the six of us even though half the restaurant was empty. Maybe they had a staffing issue that night? Anyway, I got the lamb gyro and hubby got the veggie burger. Both were okay. Tasted fine but nothing to write home about. The onion rings were good. The kid’s pizza base was really stiff and crunchy — I would have liked something softer for tiny mouths. Beer collection was okay but half the things on the menu were not available. The flourless mexican chocolate cake was good. However, the worst thing was the music. I know I am being mean here, but this is honest feedback: the place would be better off without the band performing that night.

Our server was very nice, but unfortunately I cant’ say the same for the food. My husband had fish tacos which he said he liked, but I had the carnitas tacos which were terrible. The carnitas was very dry and tasteless, and the tacos were very small for the price. I also had a draft beer which arrived warm. I recommend avoiding this place.

Staff all sitting at bar eating and drinking until 2 waiters got slammed. Food is not so great. Chicken sandwich was burnt to a crisp and about ¼ inch thick. Better locations in Moab to eat!

Ate there last night. Horrible HORRIBLE bout of food poisoning. Mushroom Swiss burger. Everyone else said food was not good, but only one violently vomiting for over 24 hours.

Waited too long for another wait. Got seated and had to wait 10 minutes for our drink orders to be taken. Had to ask for the drinks several times. Eventually got apps after a good 20 min and they were ice cold. Got up and walked over to Zax.

This is one of those times that I wish Unilocal had category ratings. On service, no less than four stars. We had a great server who was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. Service was prompt and she kept the water glasses full. But we go to restaurants for the food as well as service, and the food was a two-star experience. So I’ve split the difference in the rating. I had the Mediterranean Wrap. There was water dripping from it. It’s good that the veggies were washed, but they should have been dried, too. The veggie quality was good and the Feta was okay. I’m not sure why, but the wrap left me with a weird, unsettled feeling in my gut. Nothing in the wrap is out of hte ordinary for me. My wife had the salmon cakes with olive purée. That was a very odd combination. The cakes were a little over-cooked with the salmon having turned white and the sear on the cakes being more on the char side of the spectrum. The olive purée did not pair well with the salmon. The purée had too strong a flavor for the fish and was overpowering. I had one bite of the salmon cakes and was uninterested in trying a second bite. On balance, given the quality of the other restaurants in Moab(there are TONS of great eateries), I expect that I would skip Eddie McStiff’s on my next(and subsequent) visits.

Essen geht so, hält ein Tourirestaurant. Bier war dafür lecker aber nicht kalt genug. Würde es nicht empfehlen. Achse dafür Gans lifemusik.

We stopped by hoping to catch a late night snack and some drinks. This was one of the few places open past 10pm and we had already gone to Moab Brewery so we thought we would try it out DESPITE the recent bad reviews. 1st thing we saw was a sign posted saying the kitchen was closed. OK fine, we would just get a night cap and forego the food. As we stand there outside and waited a while for the nonexistent hostess I saw one of the waiters bring out food to a table. I decided to ask a waitress if the kitchen was really closed. She flat out said they were closed altogether. I told we were just gonna get drinks and made sure if they really did close at 11:30. She rudley said«it just depends, just go check out the bar.» We left and decided to head back to Moab Brewery where we are actually welcomed. Folks, listen to the reviews and don’t try to give this place the benefit of the doubt. Learn from our mistake.

This restaurant was our oasis. It is a nice place to cool down and enjoy lunch after a warm hike in Arches National Park. It is a little on the pricy side but the food was real good. The sandwich wraps are large. One wrap could be shared by two people. The waitress was nice and service was great.

Moab is a place where not much is open late, so if that is of value to you, add a star to this review. After spending the evening watching sunset in Arches National Park, my fiancée and I decided to find dinner. After 9pm, pickings get slim in Moab. We tried Eddie McStiff’s, because the other enticing option, the Moab Diner, doesn’t serve alcohol. The beer list is excellent and served our purpose. The food however, is unspectacular. We ordered the pot sticker appetizer and the pot stickers were deep fried(real pot stickers are pan fried), and crispy. Not the way they should be. We each ordered a burger. They have several options for their burger including beef, turkey, and garlic beef. We both tried the garlic beef. The garlic added some extra flavor and while the burger was good, it wasn’t anything outrageous. You have the ability to build your own and the topping selection isn’t bad– several cheeses, jalapenos, bacon, chile peppers, etc. I got fries on the side and they were a bit skimpy. The same was true of the cole slaw my fiancée ordered with her burger. There was some«live music» when we were there, which was more a guy dressed like a cowboy strumming a guitar and warbling some bluesy stuff, and less what I would actually call music. Service was a bit slow at times, but mostly attentive. Overall, it was ok. Not bad, but certainly not great or even above average. But when you need a meal after 9:30pm in Moab, this place will do in a pinch.

Moab is a fantastic place. Bit touristy, yes, but it’s still fantastic. Touristy also means there’s an abundance of food, and after we couldn’t figure out where to go, our friend recommended Eddie McStiff’s. It was only a little crowded(probably due to the insane rainstorms… in the DESERT), and so we were seated fairly promptly. I ended up with beef and chicken Eddie McSticks, which were quite good. I am not super fond of cilantro, so I went with the Cuban(read: spicy) glaze, which definitely had a kick to it. Also at the table were cowboy beans, which were a good thing to try, and that I will definitely make at home. We skipped the brews and stayed with water, but had we not been hiking all day and then caught in a rainstorm, we might have tried something. The service was friendly, albeit a bit more laid back than these East Coasters are used to. Overall, a solid place for a quick bite, and worth a stop in.

It’s sort of like a local version of Applebee’s – a well designed, diverse menu(lot of veggie options) that’s just not very well executed. «Rosemary potatoes» are just new potatoes with butter; broccoli is unseasoned and overlooked. The fish sandwich, supposed to be hand beer battered, was fine, but didn’t taste handcrafted at all. The veggie Ruben looked and sounded good, according to my traveling companion. Service was sub-par. The servers missed or forgot one item from all tables around us. Waters weren’t refilled until the check came. The restaurant next door is the wake & bake café. I think the staff at mcstiffys may work at the wrong place…

Forgettable would be a good word. Didn’t have a poor experience, but wasn’t delighted by any means, either. Solid beer list(for UT) Moab Brewery definitely has better food… go there if you can get a seat. We ended up here because we wanted a beer and Moab had an hour plus wait. We had a reuben and veggie burger, with side salads. The salads were out within 2 minutes of ordering, and the meals were delivered before we were finished with the salads, ~5 minutes later. You’d think they’d want you to linger longer, given that they have a full bar with a pretty solid selection of real beer(e.g. greater than 4%). Veggie burger was mushy, but good flavors and made in house. Ruben was perfectly acceptable, but something you’d get at a $ 5 deli. Would I go back? As of now probably not. There seem to be plenty of options in town, so best off trying one of the higher rated joints.

Worst mashed potatoes I’ve ever had. It was inedible! I ordered the grilled flat steak, with mashed potatoes(or something that resembles it) and onion rings. The rings were OK, I had better for sure. The meat was cooked they way I requested, but no salt or pepper. The mashed potatoes looked like it was made with just water and it was cold. The gravy looked like light brown water on top of it. It didn’t even taste like mashed potatoes and gravy. Honestly I don’t know what the only two 5 star reviews on this place ordered, but I don’t really care anyways. The waitress was very nice but slow. My wife asked for a straw and she never brought it. $ 74 for 2 steaks with that thing they call potatoes, and 2 average hamburgers is too much. My wife and kids were very disappointed and asked me to never go back there. Granted!

We went mountain bike riding & went to McStiff’s afterwards. It was still a little cool, so instead of sitting outside we opted to eat inside. The interior is ok and there are TVs near the bar area where we were sitting. The restaurant is at the end of a specialty strip mall, so the patio doesn’t provide any view other than the parking lot, but for March, the temperature was almost perfect for outside seating… just a little warmer & we’d have been out there. My wife ordered the Mediterranean Platter & Spinach & Walnut Salad. She said both were good, but it was too much food & she shouldn’t have ordered both plates. I did try some of the Mediterranean Platter and it was good. I ordered the daily special — The BBQ Burger and a side of mashed potatoes and gravy. I ordered the burger medium rare and it was pretty rare(which was fine to me, but if you order something medium rare, be prepared for something to be dang near rare). I enjoyed the burger. The mashed potatoes & gravy were less than inspired. All in all, it was an average place. I might go here again. If my wife wants to go shopping, I’d sit at the bar & watch sports or sit on the patio if the temperature is right.

Excellent service nice atmosphere, and many different options of sitting choices and sitting areas. They have a bar area, a lounge area and a patio. You can choose between bar sits, tables sitting, sofas, or patio like sitting. We set in the bar area and the menu was the usual food you find in any bar, we ordered beer, wine, and some food items. The overall atmosphere was cheerful and easy going. Nice place to finish the evening at.

Not a bad restaurant considering we were in Moab, UT. Again we were very late for our lunch, thanks to our delay in trip. This was first restaurant for us the portions were not enough. May he we were too hungry, not sure. But the first dish we took was not enough. We took second order of California Chicken & spilt it between me & my wife. It was an average sandwich but the best part was the tarter sauce they gave. I had second serving.

All beer on tap is under 4% but they do have a full list of high-point beers from local and national breweries ranging from $ 5.50 to $ 6.75. We sat on the patio and our server was friendly, but a little inattentive, which one of my only complaints. We got a veggie pizza, which was good and big enough to share. I didn’t really have any major issues with McStiff’s — I just think there are other unique options in Moab that might prove a better choice for dinner out… I’d probably come back it other’s in my group wanted to go, but I likely wouldn’t make the choice myself.
