Panera Bread

I went to Panera Bread tonight and was totally disappointed. I ordered a Asian chicken salad. I ordered a full size. If it was a full size a half would fit in a coffee cup. And the small would be about three bites. The Romaine in the salad was mostly the white part of the plant that at home I throw away. Maybe ¹⁄₃ of it was green. The bowl they served it in was barely ¹⁄₃ full. I asked for extra salad dressing and they brought me a tiny container barely half full. I asked for some more lettuce and they gave me about a 1 cup measuring cup full. Still didn’t even fill the bowl to the half mark. My friend I was with had the same experience. We went there once in the past and I had the same salad but it as much larger. But my friend had the same full size mini salad. We will not be dining at Panera again. Don’t like paying full price for mini servings.

I was craving something sweet and bought a carrot cake muffin. It was so dry and hard. I’m definitely not buying any baked goods from this location. Disappointed

I read the comments and a lot of people were complaining about the service. I guess I am having a different experience. The staffs and services here are pretty good.

I regret being so nice in my last review. I have been going to this panera about twice a week, and atleast once a week they mess up my order! I am a vegetarian, and the only sandwich I get is the Mediterranean veggie. However, when I got my sandwich today, this is what I found. (See attached image.) I’m 100% sure my vegetarian sandwich should NOT have a huge layer of meat on it. I don’t think it’s even the workers’ faults; it’s the managers. I hope someday they will get proper training that is definitely necessary.

Kids loved the food. Fast service and we got everything right. Everything tasted absolutely amazing, we will be back for sure.

The last week I’ve given this Panera a chance and they have made some improvements.
I wished I could give more stars because they are very friendly. But they packed my order to go when I said it was sit down. I decided no big deal I’ll take it to go. Problem is they charged me for chicken on my soup and did not add it to my order. I didn’t see that until I got to my office and my lunch hour was gone.

Food is always good. This location was a little messy when I went in there and it wasn’t that busy so we took our food to go.

Had a better experience with differnt staff. They are pleasant and food is decent. I just wish they had bigger portions for the price I’m paying

This Mission Viejo Panera has the most amazing, kind, generous and genuine manager ever.
You expect good food and good service when dining at a restaurant but the manager at owners mission Viejo, Scott transcended good service. He genuinely connects to his customers. This was true of us, other customers and his employees.
My wife and I are I town for medical purposes for my 6 year old. We just got done with a 3 hour appointment and want to grab a late lunch. Scott came in to check on us and made light conversation that lead to him discovering why we were in town. I told him I over heard a conversation between him and his employee. They seemed to really enjoy working with each other. To make a long story short, he not only made sure we were satisfied with our meal but he encouraged our hearts with his infectious spirit and kind words. To top it off he offered our daughter the option to pick any pastry «on the house» after she finished her soup. She was a happy girl!

My fiancé loves Panera Bread; so I’m sometimes forced into PB. This location in particular is exceptional; it’s one of those businesses that you hope continues to be successful.
I’ve started to have the companies healthy menu and plethora of options grow on me. That being said, I now utilize this location for large breakfast orders for our company. I’m impressed with their breakfast and often take in the free internet during my lunch hours. This is the perfect spot for lunch meetings.

This Panera Bread is amazing. The food is about the same as any other location, but their service is unmatched. I had take out food today, and did not get my side of bread, or the correct dressing for my salad. By the time I realized this I was already back at the office, and didn’t have the ability to drive back down to the restaurant. I simply called, and a lovely woman named Jaisey on the phone told me that my office was very close and she would bring by the correct dressing as well as my bread. It is so nice to see that she really cared about her customers and realizes how hard it is to eat a dry salad. Thank you so much! I will be coming back again.

I’ve yet to find the food as good here as it sounds when I’m ordering! This is conveniently in the middle of MV near the Pizza Kitchen.

Ordered a Asian Sesame Chicken salad. They brought me a bowl of Romaine and some fried wontons. Chicken was MIA. Walked back to the kitchen asking for the chicken. Kitchen staff was very rude.

Tables dirty. Trash all over the floor. Manager less than enthusiastic when we mentioned there weren’t any clean booths. And… soup came out cold. Otherwise, delicious food.

Worst panera location. I love most panera but this location is awful. I asked for chicken added to my mac n cheese and to my full size pastas several times and they either forget or give me a few small pieces unlike the other 10 locations I have been too. They really need better management or something.

Damn this Panera has low reviews, that pains me! I’ve only been here once but everything was great, granted I only got a drink but still. The girl who took my order was attentive and she got my drink fast!
Panera is awesome!!! I’ve probably eaten everything there. Love their salads though, so fresh! There hazelnut coffee is to die for! And the iced green tea, yummy! I always feel super healthy after too.
Woo Panera! I will most likely be back to this location so hopefully my review stays the same! Kinda scared cus some people have written some bad ones: /

Food was consistent with other Panera locations I’ve been to.
But the service is terrible. Girl who took my order didn’t even look at me the whole time I was ordering.
A lot of stuff was empty (ice tea etc) even though I was here right during dinner.

Food is alright as Panera uniformly is known to be pleasantly enjoyable. I enjoy their variety of soups and sandwiches. Hadn’t expected to be disappointed. If I can make an observation, why do they use such large plates if the food does not cover but half the plate? If they used smaller plates it might actually appear to be a decent food portion. Everything just seemed unusually «skimpy» to me. While one server attentively assists us with an extra bowl and extra freshly sliced Parmesan, it wasn’t anything extraordinary. Thank you for making these readily available nonetheless. It helps set Panera apart from other café vendors. Tables were being cleared but I didn’t notice any wiping down of the tables. Also… nobody smiles here. It’s a little cluttered and in a bit more disarray than my own kitchen at home. When I greeted the girl at the register, I paused for a response… and only received a blank stare. I proceeded with our order. I noted this to my table and my husband commented, «They’re digging their own grave.» (Not literally, but I knew what he meant.) Even he noticed the lackluster energy and dining conditions. And he’s not usually so attentive to these details. Not the OC energy I expected.
FYI This parking lot is crazy and drivers completely disregard the pedestrian activity. I almost got hit twice because a driver is whipping around the corner to and from my car.

I could not have enjoy my experience more! The food was VERY fresh, and the service was extremely friendly. I went in for breakfast on a typical overcast southern California morning. I ordered the Avocado, Egg White, & Spinach Breakfast Sandwich with a Chai Tea Latte. They had my breakfast delivered quickly and and my latte was made very well.
I look forward to coming back very soon!
