Really 3.5 stars. The place is great, though a little small. I went for lunch and it was quiet. I like they have gluten-free options as my friend I was meeting up with is gluten-free. The prices are quite high, so that put it off from getting anymore than a pizza. The small(10 inch) pizza is more than enough pizza for one person. All in all their selection of pizzas is great, the prices are not. I would go again though.

The bear pizza, could eat this everyday! We ordered our items delivery and wow they were quick! Altho, ordered the super greens salad and it had oranges on it(which aren’t green haha but seriously doesn’t go with pizza) & the large size was a bit small.

Since weve moved to south Minneapolis, this is our go to place for pizza! My boyfriend loves pizza but We couldn’t have it because I couldn’t have gluten and other things. Ive been on a strict diet, and I really love and appreciate that pizza Luce has gluten free and vegan options, now I don’t have to order a plain salad with no dressing,(yay!) they always deliver on time or earlier, no complaints. Just wish they were alittle cheaper so we could get our pizza fix more often

Pizza Luce never fails me when I’m in dire need of a pizza fix. When I need to channel my inner goddess, I look to Luce for a large Athena and my s/o knows to keep his hands out of the way(lest he get bitten). Of the at least 10 varieties of pizza I’ve tried on their menu, all have been good. And the service is always fast and friendly. All around great place for pizza and beer!

Pizza Luce is one of my favorite restaurants, though not for pizza. I’ve never had their pizza. I adore their salads, sandwiches and pastas. Their breakfast items are quite delicious, too. I didn’t know this location existed. It’s in an area I try to avoid like the plague. Hipsters and I don’t mix. Thankfully, the staff here doesn’t have that attitude and we were served quite nicely by our server. The macaroni and cheese was tasty(wait a bit for it to cool down before tasting it). My only caveat is don’t bother getting any gluten free bread. I don’t eat sponges and this is what gluten free bread is like to me. This location has a small lot, so you might have better luck parking on the street. Watch the parking restriction signs so that you don’t get towed!

Seriously some of the best pizza I have ever had and I love that the offer a gluten free crust(and a GOOD one at that). The Ruby Rae is my favorite go-to, but the Athena and the Classic are also great. I recently tried the seasonal buffalo chicken, which was delicious for some Sunday football dining. I have noticed that the later you order, the sloppier the cutting job gets, but the pizza is so good that I’m hardly really bothered by it.

Pizza Luce is my favorite pizza joint in the cities. It has super vegetarian options, like The Rustler. It’s my favorite place to order delivery or dine in after a late night out. I also always do the Pizza Luce Bike Tour every summer. It’s a long trek, but well worth the ride, fun, brews, and pizza!

For some reason the one downtown is 1,000 times better. I mean its pizza and its good so meh 3 stars but why such a big difference in quality and taste. For the price i expected a better pizza. Uptown pizza, Giordanos or even Puzza Hut are better options. Step up your game like the 4th Street store and you will see a dramatic change in your business. I guarantee it.

I love Pizza Luce. The pizza is always top quality, the ingredients taste fresh and flavorful, AND they deliver FORFREE. I always hate to tip a delivery driver really well when their company has just dicked me outta $ 2.50 for delivery. I would MUCH rather give that money(always tip in cash folks!) to the drivers themselves. Most people will claim Pizza Luce is a little more expensive than usual. They’re definitely more expensive than Pizza Hut, Domino’s, Papa John’s, etc– but the quality is FAR beyond those places. Realistically, their prices are on par with a lot of good quality pizza joints(Old World, Red’s Savoy, Fat Lorenzo’s, Davanni’s, and Italian Pie Shoppe) and maybe even a little bit cheaper than some. The free delivery is a great added value often overlooked in these price-for-quality comparisons. My only REAL gripe: 2 adult men splitting a 12″ pizza will still leave both dudes hungry. Maybe not HUNGRY, but definitely not stuffed. As a tip, go with a 16″. The pie is delicious enough the first night and reheats extremely well in the oven. Trust me, if you’ve never had Pizza Luce it’s worth an order if you’re in the area. Remember, get the biggest freakin pizza you can fit through your door though cuz it really is the best bang for your buck.

I have had pizza delivered from here a few times. I have been satisfied with the quality of their food and service every time. The prices are a little higher than the average place, but for what I get versus the quality, it’s worth the extra money. It is delivered to me hot and fresh every time. Therefore, I feel like I can count on them to put extra effort to their pizzas. The pizza I have ordered tastes delicious. My favorite is the sausage and pepperoni(I know, the typical). The serving sizes are so large that this can last one person two, may three meals. My only complaint about their pizza is that when I ask for regular crust, it comes out too thin. I think that if work on making their regular crusts thicker, it would be perfect. The delivery people have served my pizza in a timely manner, not too fast and not too slow. They have also been friendly to me. I have struck a good conversation with a couple of them, and they had interesting things to say. Anytime I need pizza, I will continue checking this place out. I feel like I can count on them to deliver good quality pizza.

Ordered delivery tonight, they quoted an hour and a half. Pizza was here in less than 40 min. Hot, fresh, delicious… awesome delivery driver, great customer service on the phone. What more could you ask for? Free delivery… oh they have that too.(Don’t forget to tip these hardworking folks) Pizza Lucé is awesome.

I’ve eaten many pizzas from Luce at its several locations, and it’s consistently outstanding. The times I think I need a break from their pizza and try something else, I’m always disappointed and go right back to Luce. Regular crust, sausage, pepperoni, green olive, extra red sauce, well-done FOREVER!!!

I’ve only been to this location once, but I order delivery more often than I feel decent about admitting. Holy balls, this place has awesome pizza. Not just pizza, but vegan pizza. Vegan pizza that has a cheese substitute that doesn’t taste like soggy cardboard, and toppings that consist of more than assorted sad vegetables. And in addition to their holy balls amazing vegan pizza, there are actually a lot of other vegan options on the menu. Appetizers. Sandwiches. Salads. Pasta. Even freaking desserts. It’s magical. The vegan options continue onto their brunch menu, as well. They also have vegetarian and gluten free options, as well as a whole range of stuff that will make anyone with no dietary restrictions perfectly happy. Plus the delivery is always prompt, and the drivers are always polite, even when my dog is barking her head off from inside. Basically, if I don’t feel like cooking, or if I have people coming over from out of town, or I need some deliciousness in my life, PL is where it’s at.

Pizza Lucé has always been a favorite of mine. I’ve eaten at every location(even Duluth), and have never been let down. I go to Pizza Lucé because of their vegan options — outstanding vegan food. My favorite is the mock duck muffuletta — outstanding, just outstanding. Also — getting delivery through these folks is always a treat — they are always super-friendly and fast. You will not be disappointed! A+

We love Pizza Luce! For a while we came once a week! They have an awesome beer selection, all the pizza choices, salads are great, the greek salad delish! Almost always get excellent service, but 1 time and that was quickly rectified by management. Love it for date night or with the kids!

I went here last night with a couple of friends after a night out with friends in downtown Minneapolis. This was my first experience with Pizza Luce after hearing a lot of hype about the place. I ended up ordering the Meatball Parmigiana hoagie, while my friends ordered the spaghetti and Mock Muffeletta. We were all satisfied with our food. The service wasn’t good or poor. There was a delay in service, but that can be attributed to the throng of customers wanting to order slices of pizza up front. With only two employees working on a Saturday night, they did an alright job serving us. If I’m in Uptown again on a Friday/Saturday night and am hungry, Pizza Luce is definitely a reliable place to find pizza/hoagies.

Love Pizza Luce! Even though they have a lot of amazing combinations of pizza my go to is always«The Bear» with is basically a meat lovers pizza but its soo much more than that. They use fresh and quality ingredients and it truly shows in the flavor of the pizza. The crust is also just the right amount of dough and that says a lot since I’m not the biggest fan of crust. Every time I’m in the mood for Pizza I go with Pizza Luce. The only reason that I docked a star was because I think that for Pizza it is a little pricey but given that I only order pizza one every few months I’ll suck it up and pay.

Earned their 5th star from me for being plain, old, unselfish community players. PL has been a stalwart pizza place in the Twin Cities community for a long time and clearly sees itself as a member of this community. How can you not support a place that donated 35% of all proceeds on April 30, 2015 to the Dining Out For Life charity fundraiser? They certainly didn’t have to participate in that type of thing and I was told by a volunteer at the event that PL voluntarily elected to donate that amount which is typically more than what most other restaurants do. For that, the 5th star appears. Well done!

For people who can’t have tomato sauce, they offer bbq and it’s great. Their service is quick, they offer free delivery, and they have good thin crust pizza. My favorite is the wrangler with jalapeños and no onions. So good.

Excellent! It was so nice to have some great food today after all the crappy meals we’ve had recently in the NW burbs. Great food, service, music, and décor! I already knew it was going to be good because we had a preview at last Spring’s «City Pages», «Best of the Twin Cities» annual party. Pizza Luce was there with samples – yum! And today did NOT disappoint. We had Pesto Eggs Benedict, Tuna Melt, Meat Pizza Slice, Cheese Pizza Slice, and build-your-own Bloody Mary. Even the coffee was great. We couldn’t have asked for anything better – thank you! –Daddy Maxx Retro

Its in uptown but in little quiet area, which is nice. Love the vegan options they have. Nice beers. Outdoor seating is great in summers. I love their vegan sandwich and hoagies but vegan pizza does not tastes good.

Some of my favorite things in this life are Mediterranean food and pizza. This place combines them into a pizza called the Athena. While local chains here in Cincinnati have attempted the same, nobody does a «Greek pizza» better than Luce. A Minneapolis institution, I long for the days I can return to the slow service, good conversation, and smell of my own soda-induced belches as I eagerly await my freakin’ pizza. Seriously, these guys will forget about you if you don’t holler for ‘em, but I can’t fault them for it because the pizza is just so. damn. good.

I was coming to visit my relatives in MN for the weekend. I asked my cousin what was a good place to eat and he told me that Pizza Luce was the best pizza place in MN! I gladly obliged. After a long day of mini golfing, we played 2 rounds, we were all starving!!! Parking was horrible that day because of some sporing event going on. We ended up parking in a $ 20 lot and had to walk a block or two just to get here. What We Ordered — Appetizer Sampler — Baked Potato Pizza — The Maximus Pizza The Appetizer Sampler came with 4 different dipping sides: artichoke dip, bruschetta, meatballs balls, and garlic mashed potatoes. The artichoke dip and bruschetta were very standard. The meatballs and garlic mashed potatoes were AMAZING! They were both very flavorful! Although, i think mashed potatoes on bread is weird lol. The Baked Potato Pizza was super good! It tasted just like a loaded baked potato! The sour cream on the side was a nice touch too! I liked that the pizza was thin so it wasn’t super heavy. The Maximus Pizza was also very meaty, in a good way. I wished I took pictures before we all scarfed down everything. I will be back the next time I’m in town! :)
