Two first name’s, really? I’ve been to Florida. Thrice. Not twice, thrice. Ask my mom, she knows.
The food was rather fast though, so that was nice. But I am against the whole having two first names. A man named Tom Brady once broke my heart, so you can understand why I don’t trust things that feature two first names.
Also, though the speed was pleasant, as fore mentioned, I would not classify it as «freaky». Like, not like Mike Myers festered in the Halloween Classic Film «Halloween». Now, that’s freaky. That movie, I’d give 5 stars for sure, but Jimmy Johns is not the Halloween Classic Film «Halloween».
The food was aight.

A classic sandwich place that isn’t exciting but you know what you are getting. Right by my work so I go there about once a week.

It’s the same menu as every other JJ’s and it’s the same speedy (freaky!) fast delivery. I was seriously surprised when the driver arrived at my cubicle in 19 minutes. On the sixth floor. Yes, I had set a stopwatch going. Nice work!
Do take a look at the nutrition site and calculate what you’re eating. I *thought* I was making a healthy choice. It turns out that the #2 roast beef (drop mayo, no cheese, add mustard) has a third the calories and half the sodium of the sandwich I usually got. Wow!

I go here pretty frequently, it’s ok pretty good. It is always very very fast and pretty good. I won’t go out of my way to go here, but if I’m in a hurry this is a reliably fast place to go so I do. The sandwiches are nothing really special, I don’t think they have any hot sandwiches, though they may, I pretty much order the same thing each time and the price isn’t too bad given what it is.

I don’t usually review chains, but I will occasionally make an exception. Case in point, Jimmy Johns in Cedar Riverside. I stopped in here after a recent doctor’s appointment, and was disappointed. Granted, sandwich making is hardly rocket science, and there are things you would much rather do with your time, but guess what? You work in customer service and a little goes a long way; I’ve worked in customer service for a while myself. Dude at the cash register seemed only capable of a blank stare… hello? Customer here! Anyone home? When I asked for a napkin I was rudely directed to where they were kept (hidden behind the counter where they put sandwiches into bags). I guess they are rationing them out. The only points I can grant this place is that my sub was made quickly. Luckily I have a million other restaurants to visit instead!

It’s Jimmy John’s. Same old food every time. However, this was a favorite of mine when I was kicking up the grass on the West Bank of the U.
The thing I like about this place is that it is efficient as all of the other locations, but there is a lot less in-​your-​face energy from the staff. They often don’t have 10 people behind the counter like other places, making your brief stay quiet and enjoyable.
Whether studying or just taking a break from life, stop in for a #4 with no tomato and extra sprouts. I promise you will love it!

I’ve been going to this place for awhile now… no more after they started charging $.27 for a glass of water. Sorry guys, free water is an expected convenience.

It feels silly reviewing this, but here it is. I do believe most of us have eaten at a Jimmy Johns at one time or another — mainly because they are… gulp…so fast you’ll freak. I have to hand it to them, the sandwiches taste fresh and you can get something vaguely nutritious. Can’t avoid sodium with lunch meat, but if you want to cut down on fat and calories they have a sandwich for you.
As many of us have said, «I’m gonna go eat some air» — The regular sized sandwiches just aren’t big enough to satiate a normal lunch time hunger. You will probably find yourself going for the clubs ($ 6 instead of $ 5) and/​or adding on a bag of chips.
I like the employees at this location. They play some good music (Yeah Yeah Yeahs and White Stripes), sometimes sing-​alongs occur, and the cashiers are always ready with the snappy sarcastic humor.
There are times you have only 5 minutes to grab some food and will thank JJ for being there when you need it.
