Called looking for an item, lady answers the phone said «I don’t think so…» That’s it :(I don’t think so translates into I’m not done with my mocha yet and I’m uninterested in asking or looking

I have been a customer of ATG for about 20 years! Have dealt with THIS store ever since moving to Milwaukie. A few weeks ago, I took in a ring that I purchased in 1994 and had the original receipt. A small stone had fallen out and I went in requesting they replace it. The ring had lots of sentimental value so I didn’t much care what it cost me. When I went to pick it up, the stone did NOT match the size of the opposite side! A salesman agreed it was an eyesore and suggested I come back when the actual jeweler was there, so I did. By the time I came back in, he had REMOVED the stone, so I again put in my request. He argued with me in front of a room full of customers which was embarrassing and pretty much insulted my intelligence. At that point he said he could not accommodate me, so I pointed out that I had the original purchase receipt and per their policy desired to upgrade the ring. He refused to do that because it was defective, which it wouldn’t have been if he had left the replacement stone (which he thought was ok) in it! He basically refused to do business with me. Againl all of this was in front of a bunch of customers… I will NEVER do business with this store again! I will take my business to another ATG store in town!
