The Drive Thru is the place to go for perfect, little, not-so-good-for-you, fried pieces of heaven. Otherwise known as doughnuts. I usually get them with powdered sugar and the cinnamon/sugar mix and they are wonderful. That’s the only food I have tried from there and the only drink was coffee which is Colectivo. Service is pretty quick and friendly and they have a drive thru(obviously) which is convenient.

I come here singularly for the fresh mini donuts and am always pleased with them. They come in three varieties: powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, and combo. Each one is good, but for some reason I feel like getting the combo give me the most bang for my buck. Is it illogical, yeah. But for some crazy reason, I just roll with it most times. I usually get the small bag, which come with 6 mini donuts and costs $ 2.65($ 2.50 before tax) It’s tasty and affordable. Both of those things make me happy.

I ordered delivery, but then had to cancel. Whoever I spoke to about canceling was pretty rude about the situation. I understand being upset about a cancel on an order but it is important to still be polite about it in order to keep customers. She was upset that I didn’t change my mind about canceling and proceeded to tell me they would never deliver to me in the future without knowing the reason for the cancellation. Poor customer service.

One of my favorite places to go to get fresh hot donuts. The name drive thru is exactly what it implies, a drive thru. Its located on the corner of Oakland ave and North Ave also on the slanted street that begins as Kenilworth PL. This location has a drive thru and also has a full establishment that shares half of a parking lot. I like to come here with the kids and get fresh hot mini donuts. They are made on the spot and tossed with cinnamon sugar. You can also get flavored jelly to dip the donuts in. The prices are very reasonable. The Wait time is not really long at all. That if you are the person getting donuts and not he person waiting. I cant speak for them! I try not to go back so much, so that i dont gain a bunch of pounds but i like donuts. They’re even tastier when hot and fresh.

After ordering Chubby’s over the phone, they said it’s better I go to the drive thru to order donuts because they would be fresher and cheaper than ordering through their menu. They told me that it would only takes 2 minutes and I would have hot and fresh donuts. So after picking up my food, i tried going though the drive thru on my way out. After waiting in the drive thru for 15 minutes, there was no hope of getting service so I had to leave without getting anything. The car in front of me waiting at the ordering window also left from waiting too long. From this experience, it is not worth it and not sure if I would come back. The cheesesteaks at Chubby’s were also not that good and would rather get one from Cousins Subs or Philly Way.

Came here with a friend drunk once, seeing as I was drunk it was obviously delicious and amazing! I’m only giving it four stars instead of five because I didn’t really experience the restaurant itself as I just had a few bites of her doughnuts! But it’s a cute little place!

Easy to say this will certainly be my Friday morning locale of choice for breakfast. I’d go more frequently but my thighs can’t handle that kind of pressure. The freshly made powdered donuts, oh my god. They’re so wonderfully greasy and hot and the powder just melts all over them leaving this sweet, sticky, buttery flavor on your tastebuds. The hot chocolate was okay. I’ve definitely had better but it is served from a shack on the side of the road so I’m not expecting fancy chocolatier action. It also has a drive thru, which I’m sure I’ll use on days when the temp is –20 but I HAVE to have those donuts.

I stop by here once in awhile with visiting family and friends to get the lil donuts, which are amazing. Definitely get them. They’re served fresh and hot, covered in cinnamon and sugar. Heaven. That said, if you’re looking for a beverage to accompany your donuts – go elsewhere. This last visit, my sister ordered a steamer and I got a chai. My sister’s drink was 50% curdled milk gobs. Mine was all chai concentrate, and no milk, so it tasted bitter and acrid and awful. I don’t know why I keep giving them chances; stuff like this happens nearly every time I go. Their café beverages are Colectivo brand, and there’s a Colectivo just 2 blocks east on Prospect where you can have them prepared by people who actually know what they’re doing. All in all: yay donuts, boo drinks.

The uniqueness of this place is 5 stars alone! C’mon, this little tiny footprint of a spot is totes adorbs :) They have savory items like that common hot dog, but the real draw are the donuts. You can get the powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar or a combo. Barring any need to avoid cinnamon, always get the combo :) My friend comes here regularly and although I’m not a donut person … I decided to try at least one little donut(and they are REALLYTINY). It was melt in your mouth, hot, ooey gooey. Do it. ‘Nuff said.

D rive through is misnomered, since most people pull up to the window on foot. R ealizing that they are best known for their mini donuts, I purchased a pack of 12. I would note that watching them being made was the high point of my experience. V erily, the donuts were good, but not what I would consider to be a mouthgasm. E ven so, it was a decidedly pleasant experience. T he mixed topping of sugar/cinnamon was tasty but over applied. H owever, I could have said, «That’s enough» at the right point(and I did not). R espectfully as possible, the two employees on Saturday morning seemed disinterested. U tterly awesome this place is not, but it’s fun, quick, and nicely located. Location: 3 out of 5 Prime spot for post late night revelers and those living nearby. It may not warrant any type of commute just to go there, but it certainly is a fixture in the triangular swatch of land it occupies. As noted, people may not be «driving thru» as much as they are walking or queueing on foot, but that may change later in the evening. Customer service: 2 out of 5 Passable. Not what I was consider to be friendly or warm, but then again if I were a college aged guy working at a mini donut shop on a Saturday morning at 11:40am, I may not see the glass as half full, either. They did thank me, and tell me to have a nice day(low bar, I know). And from a logistical perspective, I’m sympathetic to the fact that they may have to deal with a um… wide spectrum of clientele throughout the shift. Taste: 3.5 out of 5 I didn’t have any real expectations going in, and admittedly — I was more interested in seeing the donuts being made than I was in how they tasted. There is a certain charm to eating hot and fresh donuts, and while these weren’t the GREATEST of the genre, I’d definitely go back if I were in the area. Value: 2.75 out of 5 12 mini donuts for 4 dollars isn’t the cheapest, considering you could go to the gas station after 3pm and get glazed regular sized donuts, 2 for a buck. Again, the visual«excitement» and novelty of watching the automatic machine flip up nicely fresh fried donuts plays into my slightly generous rating here. Overall: 3 out of 5 Nothing awesome. Nothing too bad. Will come back if I’m in the area, but won’t seek it out if I’m just lounging around.

Definitely not as good as Sil’s was. Within a minute, the powdered sugar and cinnamon was caked to the donuts and they went from fresh to not so fresh immediately. $ 4 for 12 cruddy mini donuts… never again.

Mini donuts! Made fresh and served hot. That’s all you need to know. Also, get the mix of the powdered sugar and cinnamon sugar. Ok, now that’s all you need to know.

Praise the 20 gods and ALLAH for these mighty fine donuts. After a few drinks on North Ave, I have to stop by for a family pack. Unfortunately, I am always forced to share the family pack… curse the good conscious my mother has instilled in me.

I was driving by and saw the sign for mini donuts. I had to stop by and give’m a try. They make the donuts to order so you know that they are fresh. I ordered the small which is only 6 mini donuts for $ 2.00 bucks. I little pricey for what you get. I had the combo cinnamon and sugar plus powdered sugar. The coating was very inconsistent. Two donuts had hardly and cinnamon and two had big globs of cinnamon and sugar. I really wanted to like these donuts but they were disappointing.

This was my first time back since it changed from Sil’s. We bought a large pack of mini-doughnuts $ 4.00 Large Alterra coffee latte $ 3.75(I think) We had major buyer’s remorse. Latte not very good, doughnuts overpriced for the equivalent of one large doughnut. Staff was nice but seemed desperate to convince us to come back… wonder if they are hurting.

This is my first time at this place since the name and ownership change. The Sloppy Joe is good, but not filling enough. You can always choose to add extra meat, which is likely a good idea, but it wasn’t that hot either. The mini donuts tonight were dense and misshapen. The service was lackluster at best. Really, this shopuld be a 2 star review, but there’s nostalgia for when this place was great.
