Jack’s has great food and drinks. Their one bartender Lauren makes the best Bloody Mary’s. Definitely make this a regular stop.

Always loved this pub. Food is typical pub fare but everything I have tried(burgers, wraps, salads) are quite good. The weekend breakfast is their best fare in my opinion. What I appreciate about Jacks is the polite and attentive staff, Brewer/Marquette game shuttle, the outdoor seating and indoor ambiance. They’ll even put a soccer game on the TV(I am not into it but my buddy was really appreciative). For a typical American Pub, they do everything right. If you’re there for breakfast try the bloody. It isn’t the best in town but it is unique.

Jacks is a pretty typical sports bar in my opinion. If you want standard pizza, burgers, beer and sports then you’ll be happy here. I typically only come here to watch a game. Come early if it’s a popular sporting event. It gets busy and there will be standing room only. I watched badgers play a couple games in the ncaa basketball tournament here last here and it was really fun but impossible to get a drink. On a typical night service is good. Food is typical bar food. Nothing amazing but not bad.

The 2 $ tacos and 6 $ quesadillas on Tuesdays are actually quite tasty. However, the setup for trivia pretty much guarantees that most people are cheating which makes trivia pointless if you’re just going to let people sit on their phones. The new star is simply for Lauren, the waitress who is pretty damn awesome.

The drinks are decent but a bit expensive. We put a song on the jukebox with the«play next» option and waited an hour and 15 minutes without hearing it. Maybe there were that many songs on que but it seemed like a ridiculous amount of time to pay extra for and still not hear.

Lunch and dinner are really good — especially for«bar» food. Most recently went for brunch and it’s like 5 and 2. The $ 12 pitchers of mimosas are totally 5 — both tasty and priced for a budget. The breakfast food is hmmm… below ordinary. The hash browns are close to the worst. Toast is toast. Eggs… well…the eggs don’t appear cooked in a pan so like the microwave kind. Now I’m being generous on the breakfast at 2 cause the drinks help but at $ 10 it’s a bit silly. Lunch/dinner food is awesome though so unsure why breakfast food is subpar.

There are some good things about this place but also some bad things the last few times I stopped in for a drink and a bite to eat. Pro: It is a pretty spacious place for the area. You can usually get a group of people in there to eat or have drinks. They also have lots of tvs to watch games. Even if you sit down and not at the bar you are usually not waiting that long. Cons: Beer selection is not the best. Beer prices are high for that area and Milwaukee. $ 5.00 for a miller ilte, what? I am not sure of any other places charging that much, maybe Stubby’s. It is not just their beer though the alcohol prices for mix drinks are on the higher end. Also some of the bartenders, not all, will make the drinks weak. Another issue I have is that it is a very simple sports bar. It seems like Jon Tapper from Bar Rescue came in and designed this bar. Nothing really distinguishes it from other sports bars. The décor is plain and blah, along with the overall environment. I would suggests people at least try it out if you are in the area. Everything is worth a chance. Just for me, after a few times, I probably won’t be back.

Can only speak to the drinks. Beer selection is minimal and we came in during a Badgers game and were told all beers were $ 5…no matter whether it was a Miller Lite or a Stella. Kind of felt like the bartender was full of it when he said that but either way I would never come drink here. So overpriced compared to other bars in the area, won’t be coming back.

I stopped this morning with a friend and had a very pleasant brunch on the slightly chilly sidewalk. The service was attentive and efficient. I had the Jack’s Scrambler — a delicious combination of egg, cheese, smoked sausage and pepper. The only complaint was the diced tomatoes were slices instead. Overall it was tasty. My companion had an Eggs Benedict with a substitution of avocado for the smoked ham and it was well done. Would recommend it.

We attended a graduation party at Jack’s on a Sunday afternoon and it was a good experience. The party was on the second floor, which overlooks the lower level on all four sides in the middle of the room, and also has an outdoor patio. The inside area was a good space for a party. There’s an upper bar that was manned by two bartenders. There is plenty of seating, plus an air hockey table and a few other games. Our 4-year-old was able to come along, which was nice. Jack’s provided a taco bar and it was tasty. Even my picky husband went back for seconds! My only complaint is that the wood plank floor on the outdoor patio is falling apart and has some large holes. Not only was this not safe for our 4-year-old, but it seems like a generally bad idea for anyplace where people regularly are drinking. Oh, and the ladies room is a typical, stinky bar bathroom. Overall, though, I liked Jack’s and I’d go back.

Descriptive phrase: clubby American pub. Jack’s on Brady Street varies depending on the time of day. Its scene at night is much more drunken, deaf college kids. I am not a fan. But during the day and evening it’s a decent place to catch a sporting event on one of their many TVs. I came for a Badger basketball game and they were featuring free pizzas with every pitcher order. That’s $ 9 for a pitcher of beer and a fresh pizza. Dang. Take Jack’s for what it is; use it for sports and that’s about it.

I’m definitely a fan of this place! The inside reminds an Irish bar(dark, wood interior) meets sports bar(a lot of TVs around the bar). The waitstaff is friendly. Loved playing bar dice with them. And, they were very attentive. Didn’t have to wait long for drinks. The food is very good bar food, too! Typical menu items like wings, cheese curds, wraps, sandwiches, salads.

They’ve stepped up the food game here and I now consider this place a great place to eat some scrumptious bar bites. Inside is fine but come summer grab a table outside and get ready to watch the Brady St. show!

Jack’s has good deals and decent food. Wednesday $ 1 burgers are huge and flavorful. On Sunday they have NFL Ticket. It’s a cool open atmosphere and very easy to manuver around the bar. They have a decent drink deal every day.

How do I begin to explain just how terrible the food at Jacks American Pub is? Shall I compare it to eating airplane food? No because airplane meals are at least hot when you get them. Jacks food is honestly the worst pub food I’ve ever had and that’s saying a lot because I lived in England for a year, a country notorious for its terrible food. The problem I have with Jacks is that’s it’s relatively easy food to make, nothing too special and yet every time I eat there I’m disappointed and I end up sending something back. My most recent trip I got mozzarella sticks and the chicken bacon ranch wrap. I ended up sending the mozzarella sticks back because they tasted like fish which really put me off. And as a disclaimer I must note that I NEVER send anything back when I go out to eat. It’s only ever been at Jacks. So when I received my chicken bacon ranch wrap I could only taste lettuce and tomato and little extra crunchy pieces of bacon. With every bite my teeth felt as if one would chip at any second. The wrap looks huge so I expected it to be filled with chicken but it was seriously lacking in that department. I wanted to tell the waitress to just take it off the bill and throw it out because it was an inedible, disgusting excuse for a wrap but I just ate my waffle fries and pouted. When it comes to the beer selection it’s kind of sad that a Wisconsin bar is missing so much. It’s kind of just basic, which isn’t bad but when you’ve got a place like World Of Beer across the street, ya gotta up your game a little bit. The positive thing I like about Jacks is the waitstaff. They’re always friendly and the service is fast so I always tip because it’s not their fault the food is disgusting. The only reason I went to Jacks as much as I have is because of Trivia Night but I think my friends and I will be looking elsewhere from now on.
