Hamburger Mary’s

Was here on Wednesday for Hambingo. I love that they do this event for free and a portion of the nights sales go to a local charity. Loved the performances throughout the night accompanying the bingo calling. Had a great time but I might be biased because I did win a round of bingo.
Since a portion of the sales went to charity, we ordered food. Here comes the disappointing part. The burgers not so great. Comments for the burgers included tasting dry, not liking the buns and not enough flavor. Fries were ok, tots good, Mac and cheese side was probably the best side item. After a fun night, we left thinking appetizers might have been a better choice and we would go back another time.
Definitely recommend making a reservation.

Every time we go there we have a gay old time. We will definitely be back for more.
The décor is a lttle goofy but fun.

I love coming here for Hambingo with DearRuthie. She has excellent show and is hilarious. The bingo games are now free but you can still donate to the charity of the night. I have been here many times over the past few years and I am never disappointed. They have a wide select on the menu. If you come on bingo night you should get reservation.

I absolutely love this place! The burgers are ½ pounders and so tasty. Any burger or side you can think of, they have.
The portion sizes of the sides are very generous.
Always really good service and I absolutely love the décor.
Weekend nights they host a drag show which is on my bucket list as well as the $ 13.95 Sunday brunch.
Definite faves are the Gouda Morning (fried egg and spinach), Queen Mary (Mary’s take on a Big Mac with tons of cheese), and the All-​American (stuffed with bacon and cheese).

I had the loaded ta tas and the stakehouse burger they were both awesome. Our waiter was great he let us in 15 minutes early so we didn’t have to sit in the rain. I’m bummed I didn’t get to see one of the shows. I will be back!

Fun atmosphere and entertainment, yummy ice cream drinks, but the service is lackluster and the food is BAD. I’ve been here several times and found the food disappointing, but I was going to the drag show with a friend and we decided to get dinner. I ordered the fish and chips, because a fish fry in Wisconsin should be a slam dunk, right? There was more breading than fish and the breading was PANCAKE BATTER. What? It was like a cod hush puppy. A bizarre and unappetizing «twist» on a go-​to Midwestern meal. Very disappointing, couldn’t even eat it.

I absolutely love going here with my friends on the weekends. The food here is amazing, staff is very friendly and the shows are so much fun. The alcoholic drinks are also yummy. But the main thing here is the drag shows. They are always so much fun to watch and also be a part of! I would definitely recommend going here at least once. You will have a lot of fun.

The drag shows and ham-​bingo are a blast! We’ve been here a good handful of times — We’ll certainly return. The portion sizes are incredible. Try the grilled cheese hamburger!!! The only reason I wouldn’t give ⁵⁄₅ is because it’s cramped. Even when I’ve gone when there are only a few people there, it seems like the tables are right on top of each other.
Give this place a go, though — they’re sure to impress!

I want to love hamburger Mary’s, but the service is never good. There are 3 tables here for brunch so there is really no excuse. Food is ok, but nothing to write home about. They do have 3.00 mimosas which is always a plus. I will come back for drag queen bingo because that’s fun, but won’t be dining here again anytime soon.

LOVE Hamburger Mary’s! Food is great, drinks are strong, and atmosphere is fun! They do Bingo, Drag Shows, & Sunday Brunch — what more could you ask for?! If we lived closer, I would at least visit this place once a week!

we’ve been anxious to go here since it opened but since we live in chicago we don’t get to too many places in milwaukee as much as we’d like to! We went here a few weeks ago on a friday night and met friends for drinks. It was a really fun place to meet up! The drinks were fun and they offered a large selection. we made it at the end of the drag show and had lots of fun watching it! it cleared out shortly after the drag show and was time for karaōke. that was also a lot of fun to watch although we wish it had been busier. The other day we were in town again and stopped for lunch. my boyfriend got the Mary’s Burger and I got a quesadilla. Our service was great and it was so nice to sit outside. We are anxious to go back here as really enjoy the atmosphere and diversity and the fun that this place offers!

Should I talk about the delicious burgers or the awesome drag shows? Hamburger Mary’s is the perfect place to watch Tina Turner bust her moves and sink your teeth into a delicious burger that builds a good base for partying the rest of the night. If you haven’t been, it is worth staying for both shows!

Went here for a girls night out and made reservations for the dirty divas show. First of all make reservations because the space is tight and if they are full there’s really no place at the bar to sit eat and drink. Show was very fun especially after a couple of drinks. Drinks were ok, don’t get the fruit punch because it just reminded me of robitussin. The biggest downside for me was the food (biggest reason for the two star rating). Nothing too special or remarkable. They also have karaōke after the shows later in the evenings which was a blast especially after some liquid courage.

Great food and friendly service at lunch, plus fun décor and an inclusive atmosphere. Can’t wait to check out some of the events.

This place is a disaster. It’s my second time here. It will be the last.
I’m all for a quirky, unique restaurant, but Hamburger Mary’s really misses the mark. It’s a chaotic, awkward restaurant with some of the most inexperienced staff and worst food of any place I can remember.

This was our 2^nd time there.
Our server was very attentive and nice!
The drag queen calling numbers for bingo was so funny.
My problem is the food is terrible. My party of 4 all had problems with our meal! Cold food, lacking flavor, soggy fries, and the homemade black bean burger was a mushy paste.
The milkshake was like a choc milk without ice cream.
Overall we all decided we’ll never be back, the food just isn’t worth it.

I was sure that I had written a review of this place, but I guess not. I had had mixed feelings on Hamburger Mary’s for awhile, but I’m really starting to learn to love the place.
I mean, don’t get me wrong. I never *disliked* Hamburger Mary’s, I just felt there were better places that would usually be less busy out there. But I’m starting to get it.
The kitsch is over the top, and they like it that way.
The food is pretty good. I mean, it’s not gonna bring tears of joy to your eyes, but there’s something that will probably satisfy just about anyone. I’m a fan of the Buffy (red wine sauce and garlic aioli) and the Hawaiian.
The staff is the real shining star here. I’ve never been someplace that’s quite the same. They’ve got sass, and hanging out here is like being around old friends. Also, despite not being a regular by any stretch of the imagination, when I’ve had the same server more than once he’s recognized me, which is totally cool.

This place is interesting! We came in during afternoon but like to come back at night sometime. I looked at pictures online posted by other Unilocal members so I was expecting my daddy Mac burger to have a large scoop of their Mac n cheese on it but neither of the two we had much Mac n cheese at all so that was a disappointment. The fried Britney pickle spears were excellent. None of the food blew me away but I’m sure at night this is a place you come for atmosphere! I’m looking forward to coming back!

For me, food is maybe 2.5 — 3 stars. It’s nothing special, and in my few experiences, has been just OK. They have a decent variety, mostly burgers/​fries/​sammies, but it’s not a place I think about heading to for the food. This place is a lot more than just a restaurant!
This is a place I like to support because of the atmosphere, the events, and the community focus. From karaōke nights to drag shows to bingo for local charities — it’s always a blast and the people are fun, friendly, and having a good time @ Hamburger Mary’s. It’s kitschy, yes, and a little scattered inside, but it’s a lighthearted and fun place. I always have fun here. Great for groups, to boot.

This was my second trip to Hamburger Mary’s, and I had just as much fun this time as I did the first time. The atmosphere is happy and fun. The staff is very friendly. This is a great place to go with a group of people.
Every Sun, Wed, and Thurs, they have HamBingo. Each week, a different charity benefits from the bingo sessions. The three bingo callers are Dear Ruthie, Trixie Mattel, and Shannon Dupree. I have only seen Trixie and Shannon in action so far. They are absolutely hilarious! As the website states: «This ain’t your granny’s church basement bingo!» Some of the humor is more adult, so I wouldn’t recommend bringing in the children during those times. But the adults will get a good laugh. On Mondays, they have Family Fun day from 5−9pm. Kids 12 and under eat free with an adult meal and beverage purchase.
The food is excellent. Obviously, their signature item is the burgers. They have many varieties to choose from. I had the Guacamole B.J. burger, which contained bacon and jack cheese in addition to the guacamole. They will cook the burger to your liking. You also have your choice of sides. Some of the sides are considered upgrades, which cost a little extra. But they’re worth it. I highly recommend the beer n cheese dip. It’s wonderful! The menu also has appetizer and soup selections, sandwich and wrap selections, a few entrée selections and desert options as well.
The drink menu is great. They have so many things to choose from. They have different drink specials every day, so be sure to check the menu for those.
I will for sure be back to Hamburger Mary’s again.
