I have been coming to this outback since it opened and have noticed a disturbing trend with their pricing. Items that used to be included as sides for the entrées are now being charged for separately. For example, the French onion soup, which was always a $ 0 side option is now $ 2, yet there is _nothing_on the menu showing this change. Since you are already paying $ 20+ for a steak, the additional charge is just a way to raise prices without announcing it. I am surprised that they can get away with this behavior of not listing the up charge on the menu, nor telling the customer about it when they order. They have also added a new category of sides(which French onion soup is not on) and that they charge extra for. These sides such as the pecan chopped salad are also significantly smaller than they used to be.

My girlfriend and I always come to this location to satisfy her random steak cravings. Everytime the servicer’s service is alright(I guess), but this time, the server was excellent. His name is Lewis. He cracked jokes, made us laughed, make sure our order is accurate. The slow roast rib eye is perfect. That’s gonna be my new favorite dish at outback. Oh yea and also the coconut shrimp, must try if you haven’t. Love their sauce. At the end, I wish I could give him more tips, but I’m just a broke college students. lol :/so I gave what I can afford. Lol.

Overall, I would rate this restaurant(among all the other Outback Steakhouses between a 3 and 4). The food: 3.5. I ordered the 7oz sirloin with blue cheese crumbles on top, with a side of mushrooms and the sweet potato. I am rating the food a 3.5 because the steak was delicious and cooked perfectly medium rare but the mushrooms were okay at best and the sweet potato came loaded with butter and brown sugar. I wish I knew this before I ordered it. I would have asked for the butter and sugar on the side. Service: 3. The wait for a table was 35 minutes so our group of 4 found seating in the bar area(which is open seating) so we didn’t have to wait. Since we sat in this area, I think our service was lacking. Service was okay at best. Our waiter didn’t come to check in on us after we started our meal, and he did get my drink order wrong. He also wasn’t the nicest guy. I kind of had the feeling that he just wanted to get out of there. Note: try to sit at the bar seating to avoid waiting for a table. :)

I have always(up till the last three years), loved Outback. Always found it to be dependable, and a place for a good steak. Not any longer. We have tried the local Outbacks and have been disappointed every time, so I guess that would count as dependable, dependable on a bad meal. We have sent the food back and we have changed to a different place, still bad. This last time, Sunday Dec. 27th. And we were at the Great Mall. Our coconut shrimp was over done, and they really need to do something about the presentation. I tied the flat iron steak with the teriyaki and a loaded baked Potato. There was some teriyaki on the top, but really could have had more, but the potato was so cool the butter didn’t melt, oh wait there wasn’t any butter, only sour cream, cheese and a few green onions. I know we could have had the food taken back, but I’m done waiting for my dinner to be recooked while everyone else is eating, and then be given a apology. I will still say they have the best wait staff, and I could have returned the food and she would have taken every effort to correct the problem, but it just isn’t worth it anymore.

Good food — The filet mignon was on point, but the lobster tail was overcooked and rubbery. The pinot grigio was delicious too. Great service — friendly waitress who constantly stopped by and checked up on our progress, a little too much. definitely trying to work that tip. Nice ambiance, but a little too dimly lit in my opinion.

I normally don’t care to rate or write a review for chain restaurants because they’re all the same in my eyes, only difference is service. However, this particular visit made it review worthy thanks to our server, Vincent. My boyfriend and I were sort of on a time restriction because we were going to catch a movie but didn’t want food court food. When we got in, there was only a 15 minute wait which went by fast. Once seated, we had exactly 45 minutes to get out of there and make it on time for the movie. Vincent was running around crazy but he still stopped by our table to introduce himself even though his hands were full. I’ve worked in the service industry before and that shows great service already just acknowledging your guests even though you don’t have time to stop just yet. Long story short, Vincent had us in and out in perfect timing. 5 stars for his service! Food of course was decent, Ribeye steak cooked medium rare with just the right amount of fat.

I have came to this location a couple of times before and had no problems but Friday night could have been better. I came 11÷13÷15 with my parents and it wasn’t enjoyable. Right when I walk in there is a wait. Of course there would be since it is a Friday night and we patiently waited for a table. The first thing I noticed were all the hosts with their cell phones in their back pocket. That really bothers me cause it looks so UNPROFESSIONAL and why would they need it with them? There is a huge clock on the left of them. Outback doesn’t have lockers? or a break room they could leave them in? I work at a restaurant, Ive been a host and a server and also study hospitality management so I know what I’m talking about. When we are seated we waited 12 min to be greeted. That’s not cool. At least let your guests know you will be with them shortly. When our server comes to use she asks if we would like drinks or appetizers? Didn’t say her name through the whole 2 hours we were at her table. My dad order a medium well tbone steak and it came out rare. At a steak house, the server should at least wait till the guest cuts into the steak to see if its up to their standard. We tried to wave down our server but she did not come by. I had to go find a manager and he came to our table. Just put the tbone steak back and brought it out. Kinda rude customer service. I brought my parents out to eat to enjoy their company and ourselves, but at Outback I guess I’m paying for horrible service and not cooked steak. THISPLACEIS A JOKE, Rather go to campbell outback. Retrain your employee’s.

We came in on a Sat afternoon around 2. It wasnt really busy. They were probably 40% full. We didnt wait long to sit. The server and host was pretty nice but the mistakes pilled up. So we get seated and order within 5 mins, not bad. After we order our drinks come quick also a plus. However, our food took almost 30 mins to arrive about 27. The kicker was that people who sat down and ordered after us and ordered steaks and lobster like us got their food 5 mins before us plus they had a larger group. After mentioning it they went to get our food and whoever was suppose to bring our food out forgot. How do we know this, our food was luke warm, not sizzling hot like it normally is when we eat at an Outback. So it was most likely ready and sitting there. We mention this to them and didnt want to wait even longer for food. But then she mentions she is helping from the bar and didnt know what happened. We say fine we get staffing issues we just enjoy our food then we ask for refills and never got them, oops. Now this was our first time eating at this one and our last.

Menu and the food they serve is different !! Be aware folks. today I went to great mall shopping with my girl friend and after we done we decided to go outback«steak house» to get some protein。 I order the 7oz sirion with lobster tail. To be honest I will rate their steak below Danny’s steak. And the lobster tail portion is very small. My steak was over cooked and feel like eating a beef jerky. More ridiculous thing was the side mushroom is bigger than my steak and lobster. I was very disappointed and upset. I will definitely never walk in this fake«steak house» ever again.

My family and i come here once in a great while. There food is pretty good. However based on our last experiance here i dont know if we want to come back again due to Kenny our server. He was very rude, made inappropriate statements, for an example he mentioned he didnt care how long we took he gets paid anyways, when we were just seated. He made us feel very uncomfortable to be there and even eat our food. At some point it was like he was yelling at us. When he was taking our order he kept trying to tell us to get something else and when we told him no it upset him even more… Definitely a bad experience i wish we didnt have.

Great lunch for a Sunday afternoon. Serloin steak and endless shrimp for $ 21.99. I had the garlic shrimp not the breaded option. So after four shrimp trays I was full. The round table made a family gathering fun and easy to visit. Kenny our server was out standing.

Dinner with family along with family friends are always fun. Since we were already in Milpitas and instead of wasting time driving around to a restaurant, we just walked to Outback which is conveniently located in the same area as the mall. The wait time wasn’t too bad. For a party of 9, we waited between 10 – 15 min until we were seated. What bothered me the most was that the lights we’re dimly lit. It was as worse as Abercrombie or Hollister in this restaurant… Anyway, I ordered the steak with lobster and baked potato on the side. Our order took about 20 minutes for it to get to us. I ordered my steak well done and I was satisfied with my steak and lobster. I also ordered a glass of Chardonnay which I thought was great! I love the sweetness of it. The customer service was exceptionally awesome, especially our waitress. She was very informative with the orders and filled out water and drinks in a timely manner. Would I come back here? Maybe. Would I recommend this to a friend? Eh… If we have no where else to go.

The good; food tasted better than I have ever had at out back. We were both happily surprised since we had such bad service. The bad; it was freezing! We were seated right away which was good but not checked on by our server for about 10 min then ordered our drinks(I had hot tea) then she was gone for another 10 min. Then the table Next to us got sat. She came and took our order and there’s.(We are a party of 2 they had 4) their food came before our appetizer, seared ahi, then my soup came, and the rest of our food all by good runners no server in sight to refill my tea or his beer. She re appeared to drop the check at the table Next to us and we had to Ask her for a refill. Then the table next to us left and the table that was seated as we got our food got their bill. I asked for a box and the check… The other table got up and left then we got our bill, no box then asked for a box again and got that and the check to sign. Presentation of food sucked. The only Thing that saved this from a 1 star was the taste.

You know, for person who is basically, mainly a carnivore, you’d think i’d come here often… naahhhh. I dont really like how this restaurant makes their steaks. I’ve had at most 2 – 3 steaks here, and they’re always a bit too chewy, not enough tender for me. Keep in mind, i do order medium rare. I cant eat a rare piece of meat nuhh-uhh. the A-1 sauce helps a bit. Ive also had the seared peppered ahi as an appetizer and it is DELICIOUS. I could just order this myself and eat it all. Too bad i was sharing with someone… The wedge salad is also really freaking good. I can eat this and be full. Lettuce is always fresh and crunchy, and tomatoes and bacon bits are such a nice contrast. French onion soup is also really good, with melty cheesey goodness, and a little slice of rounded bread on top. Sweet potato… is really sweet. maybe i put too much cinnamon and butter though. Its nice and soft, but i’m not a big fan of sweet potatoes unless its made into something else — like fries??? LOL coconut cream margarita. okay LOL i’ve only had one drink here, and damn this was strong as fuck. Maybe thats when my tolerance kinda low, but one drink had me buzzzinnn. sweeter than a swirl and you can barely taste the alch(lol good or bad, depending on your point of view). Every time I go, the service is always always really attentive and nice. Waiters are super patient and glad to redo your order or bring you extra bread.

We decided to come here after a graduation. When we walked in, the lady sat us on the table and told us she be right back with the silverware. The waiter was nice a brought our bread and butter. I noticed after 15 minutes, we did not received our silverware yet, so I had to ask the waiter to bring them. We ordered the Victoria’s filet mignon, sirloin with lobster, and T-bone steak. The sides we had were mashed potatoes, steakhouse mac and cheese, and broccoli. The food was delicious and I truly enjoyed it. We gave the waiter a nice tip since he really gave us what we needed and checked our table a few times.

FOOD: Calamari is crispy! I liked it! We asked for more red sauce. The sauce dish is small we used it up in no time. Ribs and sirloin combo was good. I liked the ribs better than the sirloin. Sirloin had some chewy parts in it. Mixed veggies were good, not drenched in butter. Bread was warm and so good with the whipped airy spread I actually ate all of it, which I normally don’t eat any butter that goes with bread. WAIT: Fri night at 6:30pm the wait was 15 – 25 min according to the hostess so we opted to sit at the bar and eat. Calamari came out fast. Food came at a good time afterwards. DECOR: Lots of wood, wood booths with a hanging light low to each table. A darker ambiance. Wood bar. BAR: Tvs playing basketball games. Hooks under the bar for your purse was a plus! Cool wooden trays that fit in the grove of the bar countertop to place your dishes on while you eat. STAFF: Bartender was great! Introduced himself and the co bartender. Even put a card in front of us with our names and their names written on it. Left the bill so we wouldn’t have to ask for it. He made sure to ask the server to check on our calamari. He re checked on us and on everyone else at the bar. I saw someone got the order wrong and so they gave the potato to the friend. Might as well let the group have it right? I liked seeing that. WHERE: Between Kohl’s and the movie theater at the Great Mall. Shared parking lot, but may have to fight the movie and mall goers.

This Outback is right where Great Mall is. Stopped by for a belated bday dinner with my parents at about 3−4pm. It was during off hours so it was pretty slow. Our server provided excellent service, she gave us good recommendations, checked up to make sure we had enough of everything and overall was a really good server. Appetizer: Get the bloomin onion! I think it’s one of their signature appetizer dishes. Huge onion battered and flavored in their bloomin sauce and dunked into a pot of oil. Super tasty and crunchy pieces, really awesome appetizer to share with a group of people(too much for 3 of us) and as long as you don’t mind clogging your arteries with oil. Entrees: I really enjoyed the lobster and mushroom topped talapia dish. The lobster sauce made it very flavorful, tilapia was cooked well and loved the Mushrooms. The ribeye was also good although I think it was a little over seasoned so it was saltier on some parts. They did cook it very well though. Lamb chops(not sure if this was a seasonal item). My parents really liked the lamb chops however I think it was a bit too gamey for my taste. I like lamb but if it tastes overly gamey I can’t eat it. Regardless it was very tender and perfectly seasoned. Sides: Cesar salad was good as long as you don’t mind a heavier amount of Cesar salad dressing. Baked potato was also good. If you dont like too much butter I’d recommend getting all the sides in a separate bowl. The waitress raved about the clam chowder however we all thought it was just ok. Tasted kind of cheesy and didn’t really see any clams in the bowl. Grilled veggies are always good and a healthier alternative! Mashed potatoes are good too, weren’t too salty. Everything was pretty good here. We had a lot of leftovers since portions were pretty large. Wish we had room for dessert but we were seriously so stuffed after. Foood comaa

Hadn’t been here in a bit and I was craving a chicken sandwich. As soon as I opened the menu, I could tell right away that the menu had changed… a lot. Kooka-bura wings… gone, however, surprised to see that the Bloomin Onion was still on the menu. My friend and I decided to get the Alice Spring chicken quesadilla for our appetizer… damn good. I went with my old, the Alice Springs Chicken. I do recall upon ordering this dish before that you had a choice of, veggies, mashers(mash potatoes), rice or fries. I wasn’t given this choice. My meal arrived and I was ever so disappointed. The chicken breast was really small and very dry and the fries that I was forced to receive were cold. Yes, I could have sent my meal back, but I didn’t want to wait another 45mins for my meal. $ 46 later, we opted out of dessert and vacated the premisses. My friends meal made them sick. Looks like the Outback got too big for their britches. I do recall their meals being very plentiful and filling. Not so much now. I think I’ve had my last meal at the Outback. At least on my own dime, bc I’m not paying for another meal from the Outback. Very disappointing. It’s like back in the 80’s, who was the better artist, Prince or Michael Jackson. Well, we all know who won that one. In this one, Claim Jumpers won. One out of Five Trans-Fats

Typisch amerikanische Steakhouse-Kette.
