This is a great place close to Baxter SP. nice wooded spots, wifi and hot showers. Owners are great. Quiet campground close to Millinocket. Pool is nice after a long day hiking. Plan to stay here next time.

My family just got back from camping here for the weekend and I am so pleased with this place. We brought along 2 dogs and planned on hiking Katahdin where no dogs are allowed. The owner offered to walk our dogs for us while we were gone so we did not have to rush back. The owner and her daughter ended up taking our dogs for an hour walk in the middle of the day and were about to take them out again as we were coming home! She asked for no money in return. We gave her young daughter some ice cream money since she was a big helper. This commitment to costumers is way above and beyond. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this family. The well kept sites and serene atmosphere only add to the wonderful experience. We plan on coming back next year to hike and no doubt we will be staying here.

This is a wonderfully friendly place. I stayed here a couple of nights before a recent canoeing trip and I couldn’t have felt more welcome. The family that runs the campground is simply great. Also, while the campground is on the Edge of the Wilderness, it’s not too far from town, so it’s easy to go into Millinocket in the morning for breakfast and last minute supplies – which I did. Highly recommended.

Stayed here while spending a couple days at Baxter State Park. Just about 15 minutes from the gate. Had our pick of campsites, and the owners daughter delivered us wood in a golf cart! Just a few other campers there on this weeknight. The owners even offered to watch our dog for the day while we were hiking(as dogs aren’t allowed in the state park). Clean bathroom, nice, hot, non timered showers, friendly hosts, overall, a great place to stay!!!
