Loved this place. Went here with my lady, got the Royal Tea combo(think that was the name of it). two teas(unlimited tea), we got a pomegranate one and a green tea one that had rice infused in it. green tea was our favorite, pomegranate was good if you like sweet tea. four sandwiches, we had the apple and cheese, cucumber and cream chease, turkey havarti, and the chicken curry. All were hella good, favorites were the chicken curry(best one) and the turkey. salad was good, mixed greens. some kind of spinach pastry which was delicious and I dont even like spinach. a bacon pastry thing, really good, two sweets, one apple and one chocolate, and we added a couple cake pops, red velvet and snickerdoodle, everything was very tasty. Plenty of food for both of us, quick/friendly service. Total price just under $ 50. In a strip mall off El Camino, easy to drive by without noticing it. We’ve been to a few tea houses and the food at SereniTea was by far my favorite. flavorful, fresh, quick and friendly earns 5 stars. I can’t really think of any witty or sarcastic remarks to make this review interesting… ummm…let’s see… I’m really cool? some say they hear angels sing when I walk in a room, my skin is as soft as rose petals and my natural scent is so euphoric that Calvin Klein once tried to bottle me, the sound of my voice can end wars instantly and has been said to be a cross between James Earl Jones and Barry White(or is it Betty White?), chicks dig me cuz I’m a rebel, I literally tower over«the Man» every time I stand up to him(which is often) yeah, that’s pretty much it, so just remember to please frequent this establishment. minimalistic approach to décor but the tea and food speak volumes. the menu boasts creative tea set names such as varietea, felicitea, duplicitea… you get the idea. we ordered the royaltea which came with just about everything they serve. two teas: we went with lavender earl grey and maghreb mint. the tea pots came out with timers for the perfect brewing time and we could adjust the intensity of the brew by pulling out the tea leaf basket. novel idea. the teas were extremely fragrant and the temperature was just right. two scones: pumpkin chocolate chip and white chocolate pecan. i preferred the white chocolate pecan and the texture of the scones were more chewy than crumbly. scones are served with their organic devon cream and strawberry preserves. the tea service tower came with a salad for two, our finger sandwiches and savories, coconut rice pudding, and two of their signature cake pops. the salad was dressed in honey tahini which was sweet and light. i loved their croutons, i think they were homemade. finger sandwiches: pear and blue cheese, turkey havarti and red onion, egg salad, and salmon crème with radish. all the sandwiches were excellent, our favorite being the turkey. the salmon crème could have used a bit more salmon but still appetizing. we were also served two savories, a broccoli quiche and a spinach and feta puff pastry. both good. the sweets: though i am not a huge fan of coconut, i found the rice pudding quite tasty. it was creamy and sweet. the cake pops looked so cute and perfectly dainty but we were too stuffed to eat them so we took them home. unfortunately, the snickerdoodle and mocha chocolate cake pops left much to be desired. the cake was moist but the taste was like raw flour. they looked much better than they tasted. the service was very friendly and the ambiance is very peaceful and quiet. we definitely enjoyed some serenity at serenitea.

Thanks to all of you Unilocalers I decided to have afternoon tea at Sereni Tea and really enjoyed the experience. It’s located in a little strip mall and shares the space with Super Suppers. It’s not the usual English tea service, but a more contemporary experience with Asian influences. You won’t find white tablecloths, lace curtains, and antiques. You will find an Asian inspired space with delicate sandwiches, flavorful scones, and a nice selection of teas. The service(by Charlene) was smooth and relaxed. The preparation and presentation of the food was impeccable as exemplified by the homemade organic Devon-style cream and preserves. I enjoyed the experience so much that I returned the following week.

Upon arriving, I was confused with what was sold here exactly, and was a little bothered by the setup. The Supper sign was still up in the front of the buildling but they had a Sereini Tea sign on the window. There were large fridges to the left of the front door where they stored packaged meals. Next to that was a shelf of handmade scarves and what not… Huh? The space is very much wide open and bright. They could use a bit of decore to block off the light from the store’s windows and create intimacy. The service was good and the china was very asian inspired. The 2 of us ordered the Royal Tea Set, which that was enough for us to get full. It came with 2 pots, 4 sandwiches, salad for 2, 2 rice puddings, 2 cake pops, 2 scones, and 4 pieces of something similar to an empanada. All this came out to $ 38. We had the organic chocoate chai and organic lavender earl grey with a side of cream and sugar. Both were good. The scones were very fresh and delicious. Everything else was as expected; no complaints here. If you check-in through Unilocal, you’re rewarded with a cake pop to take home. You can pick them out in the fridge across the room. There’s 6 flavors I came across: peanut butter chocolate, pumpkin spice, mocha chocolate, red velvet, chocolate, and something else. Having afternoon tea at this location with the current setup made my experience feel out of place. Although the tea was good and the food was fine, I still can’t get over the lighting and the shelf of scarves. I’d come back to take my mom here as another lunch option if we’re not feeling dim sum on the weekends and wanted to stay local. 3.5 I’ve definetely had better in the city. P. S. Vote for my pictures please =D

I can’t wait to go back!!! The husband and I came in to enjoy a wonderful cup of tea after having been disappointed by another tea house in Palo Alto. It’s beautifully serene inside with the Asian inspired décor. Tons of parking available. Something to definitely try. the Pumpkin and Chocolate Chip scone! These were my fav! I’ve been wanting to take my mom to a tea house and since this is conveniently located near her I’m planning to take her here! Yay!!!

Relaxing, comfortable, tasty. The tea sets are well thought out and delightfully presented — there are many choices, and I recommend the Mahgreb Mint tea with the Pumpkin and Chocolate Chip scone. Of the sandwiches, my favorite is probably the Curried Chicken Salad, and assorted mini savories(chicken canapes, spinach and feta triangles) and sweets(rice pudding and cake pops — a real treat) rounded out a very satisfying set.

Went for an event and was so incredibly impressed with both the food and service. The food was delicious and I’m completely in love with the tea. So many to choose from and they were all yummy! The scones completed the meal. As good as the food is, nothing beats the smiles from Shar and Jenn. They truly made it such a wonderful and relaxing experience. I will go back for sure!

Delicious and so serene. I went here for one of my friend’s 30th birthday party and it was nice and relaxing. We were welcomed with two types of scones. One of them was a pumpkin scone. It was yummy. Next came the tea. Looking at their menu, they have a wide range of organic teas. I was hoping our host of the party would pick a Organic Chocolate Chai. But what came out, was a perfect pick. There were three different types of teas that came out. One was an Earl Grey. And my favorite in which I almost drank a whole teapot worth was the Organic Masala Chai. The owner of the tea house was informational on what’s in the tea and the best way of drinking the tea. Can’t wait to go back and try the Organic Chocolate Chai. Next that came out was the tower of deliciousness. The bottom tier was a fresh mixed salad. It was simple salad with a great vinaigrette. Next tier was the wide variety of tea sandwiches. There was the Egg Salad, not your typical egg salad sandwich but better. The Blue Cheese and Pear. Never thought blue cheese would go so well with pear. And my ultimate favorite, the Curried Chicken Salad. It was full of flavor. The next two tiers had some savories and some petite pastries. One of them was a chicken puff pastry. The dough was nice and flaky and the chicken had a lot of flavor. While enjoying our tea and sandwiches our waitress was very attentive. Our teapot was never empty. Towards the end of our get together, the waitress brought out some red velvet cake lollipops. They were very nicely made and tasted yummy. It was a nice place to celebrate my friend’s birthday. The whole experience was wonderful.

I brought a group of 7 to SereniTea for lunch, and we all had a wonderful time in a truly serene environment! We were especially impressed with the attentive service from Sharlene. Most of the group had the Petite Tea, which was an affordable $ 8.50 for tea, 1 sandwich, and 1 dessert. We each ordered a different type of tea, and the group’s overall favorite was the Organic Ginger Lime Rooibos. Sharlene was kind enough to provide each of us a complimentary seasonal dessert of a gingerbread cake lollipop, which was delicious. We will definitely be back on a regular basis!

You have to try the salmon mousse and radish sandwich! Hurry because it’s seasonal! Good combo of the soft and crunchy! New favorite along with the chicken curry!

Easy parking. Delicious and freshly made food. Yummy teas. Attentive, endearing, and polite service. A definite must if you want a good afternoon tea service without all the froufrou overcrowded décor of your typical English tea room. The décor here is very Asian inspired and minimalist and allows you to focus on the task at hand: Drinking plenty of tea.
