Wonderful shop — superior service — vast assortment of stunning frames and Raphael is outstanding. Old school service and attention to detail. It is a pleasure to do business at Framing Dragon.
Clients had a number of exquisite items to be framed– did not hesitate to recommend Raphael — great job! I shall return.

Guys — the name is a play on FLAMING dragon, and on an accent.
Am close by, need a frame, going to check it out…

Despite the comments below i really liked this place. I spent a good hour in there poring over frames and chatting with the owner Raphael who was wonderful, helpful and friendly.
He was travelling but assured me my frame would be ready in 2 days and i would be called by his assistant.
Why only 4 stars?
a — the assistant called and left a message which i sadly didnt get as my phone doesnt register new messages. I had been adamant i needed the frame by that day, a follow up call would have been nice considering the emphasis i’d made. Not exactly their fault, I know. i missed them due to work and ended up not being able to collect for another 2 days.
b — my 100 year old book plate print was slightly off square, which wasn’t obvious until it was mounted (floated — my choice) on the matting. I was told that they had tried to square it up but it wouldnt. I wish the assistant would have had the foresight to call me and let me know it made it look off-​square, i would have chosen to frame it differently.
c — felt it was slightly overpriced for the size, but it was a gift so i overlooked that.

I went there to have a large oil painting framed and was happy with the wide selection of museum-​quality frames. The owner was very helpful. Frames were well priced. I would recommend this shop over other framing stores in the area.

I’ve been bringing my artwork here for about fifteen years and I always have a great time picking the look for each piece with Rafael, the owner of the business. His ideas and suggestions are genius, and he also doesn’t mind if I want to do things my own particular way. His attention to detail and high quality work really make my pieces shine. I always look forward to having an excuse to come into the shop.

I highly recommend Framing Dragon in Mill Valley. The owner Raphael has a wonderful shop with a wide variety of frames to select from — and his expertise (in addition to his creativity and attention to detail) rates him among the best in the Bay Area. He has been my framer since I moved to Mill Valley 14 years ago, and is a delightful person to work with as well.
