My boys previously took ukulele lessons last Summer and had to pull them out due to cost and skeptism as to what they were actually learning. My kids didn’t seem too enthused. This summer they showed interest in ukulele again so I searched for the best and most cost efficient for our family and found Roy Sakuma studios! After their first lesson they loved it! The boys ended the class with big smiles, music sheets to take home and a song they could play after their first lesson!

Most of Roy Sakuma’s ukulele studio’s are small and this one is pretty tiny too and only consists of like 2 rooms. It’s located in Mililani Shopping Center on the First Hawaiian Bank side in that little square of shops are. And once you see the entrance, you have to go up these long stairs to get to the actual studio. Roy Sakuma’s ukulele lessons are great for children and they really have a lot of things they can participate in to help their performing arts as well. He’s a well musically connected guy and has a lot of events that he lets his students participate in so they get to perform in front of a live audience. The most popular one is the Ukulele Festival held annually at Kapiolani Park where they usually feature his students. I would suggest any parent to send their child to learn the ukulele! It’s fun, easy, and affordable!
