I like to come here when I get a craving for Korean food. The prices are very reasonable(imo). One of their best deals is the lunch special where you get bbq chicken and beef, mandoo, rice and assorted banchan all for about $ 8. I usually go for their dinner special or combination plate so I can get my kalbi fix and not have to pay an arm and a leg for it. The portions here are generous and it comes with a bunch of different banchan and a couple pieces of their addictive korean pancake. If you order take-out, it can take about 10 – 15 minutes to get your food(That just means it will be hot and fresh). Additionally, this place can get really crowded during peak lunch/dinner hours. But, if you don’t mind the wait, this place will be sure to satisfy.

You can never go wrong with Korean BBQ. So many delicious surprises in one big old plate! Kal-Bi, meat jhun, fish jhun, whatever kine meat you like with Kim Chee sides etc. yes! Yes ! Yes! The portions are large so these reasonable priced meals can last for one sitting or lunch and dinner if you’re me. I have noticed some people state the Kali-bi is expensive and it is however the portions could feed a comfortable 2 – 3 and the market price for Karl-bi is expensive so the price is relatively reasonable. I have no complains.

So we usually come here for lunch but this time decided to come for dinner… usually they are pretty good but this time service was horrible. We needed to ask for everything including enough forks and water for everyone… how sad. We also needed to ask for more sides like the patty and kim chee… oh boy when we did we would get the most unpleasant look from the younger server then it would take her a while before she would bring it out… they definitely need to work on being more friendly. Such an awful and shameful experience being that we brought our guest from the mainland here. This is by no way a reflection of the Aloha spirit.

It’s not very big. It may have a dozen tables. We were warned that there’s a line sometimes. We got there at about 5:30 p.m. on a Saturda and there was one party of three in front of us. I got the dinner special, which in hindsight was a good choice for a first-timer since it allows you to try several different things. I was pleasantly surprised to find two whole, three-rib kalbi pieces that dominated the plate of meat that came. The kalbi was excellent, tender(not chewy or hard to cut) and not overly salty, which happens a lot. The BBQ beef and meat jun were OK. the BBQ chicken was overcooked and dry. There was definitely a lot of food, if you include the side dishes(the mochiko pancakes were exceptional). The others in my party got shrimp tempura combos, which come with three shrimp each. They were OK, and reminded me of the shrimp you can get at one of the chain of Kim Chee restaurants. In fact, much of the menu reminded me of a Kim Chee chain restaurants — with menu items like shrimp tempura and tonkatsu. But this place also carried a few more authentic dishes — soups and stews — than the Kim Chees do. Some of the other tables and these and I intend to try some in subsequent visits. The prices were OK by today’s standards although I’m curious to try the pricier, thick-cut kal bi. Anyone try that? I give Mililani BBQ four stars because 1) the kal bi is excellent for the price, and I’d come back just for that; 2) the service was solid and 3) it appears to be a family-owned business(in a chain-restaurant world), which always gets plus points from me.

Came across this Korean BBQ restaurant by accident as I was looking for something different at Mililani Town Center that I hadn’t tried yet. So I did a take-out order of their chicken katsu(more specifically their lunch plate, which is «smaller» than their regular dinner plate), and their portions were very good and so were their prices. It was a 10 – 15 minute wait, which I didn’t mind at all. The ladies that serve were pretty friendly and helpful.

When Mom says, «Do you just want to eat out?» for dinner, there is only one thing that pops out of our minds: kalbi! And kalbi = Mililani BBQ! It’s always great to have dinner with the family here. The ladies that serve are friendly, helpful, and attentive to our needs. The food is great that’s why i forgot to take pictures, because i already dug in my plate!

If Tasty BBQ and an authentic restaurant in Korea had a love child, Mililani Bar-B-Q would be their illegitimate baby. This place is the perfect blend of local Korean food, and true-to-culture Korean food. Their ban chan is perfect, salty sweet sides that make your meal absolutely perfect! I ordered the bi bim kook soo, which is the Korean version of somen salad and the flavor of their sauce is to die for. Watch out though, I ordered the medium version, and the heat creeps up on you long after you’ve finished chewing and slaps you in the face! Their noodles are cooked to al dente and can withstand sitting in the sauce. Even the next day my leftovers were still amazing. Normally when you’re in the restaurant they will serve you an array of sides, so to my surprise when we did take out, little containers of pickled daikon, and seaweed were included! Love love love Mililani Bar-B-Q, but sometimes the wait time is just too long. Take out FTW!

I’ll NEVER go back there again… There were 5 of us and NONE of us was satisfied… BBQ chicken was burnt and dry, meat jhun was tough, and the big bim bap was so small. Trying to get your water refilled was a battle. Also, when they brought the side dishes they ONLY bought out 1 potato for 5 of us… We were staring at it thinking who’s going to get that. Food and service was awful.

If you live in Mililani, you know that the restaurants here are very limited and not very good. I actually don’t mind coming to this restaurant for Korean food because of all the sides. I like the variety of sides and the fact that they are refillable. It’s junk that sometimes the sides change, based on availability, so it just depends. I only come here for lunch on the weekdays and we are always able to get a table. The lunch specials are pretty good(price wise) and is good compared to the other Korean restaurant in the town center because it’s an actual sit down. The service here is not especially friendly or attentive but they are very polite. I’d recommend this restaurant among the others in Mililani, because it’s clean and the food is decent.

Tteokbokki is as good as it gets here… reminds me of when I had it Korea. Although it Korea it would be way hotter so thankfully they’ve made it mild here. Their fried dumplings are also delicious. It’s about $ 9.00 for 7 pieces. Which seems pricey but the size on the mandoo is pretty big. This is definitely going to be my go-to mom and pap Korean restaurant on the island. The prices are reasonable. I find many Korean restaurant expensive so it’s nice to find a place with reasonable prices and their quality of food delivers to make your taste buds happy.

Good tofu soup, kalbi, and their corvina is yummy! I come here when I am In Mililani. I always have good service even when they have a full house. The food is good. I find the cucumber kimchi needing salt, but love the miyuk kimchee, odang, and Korean style kim. Some of their stews are huge and can feed 3 people, but you can always take home. Their tofu soup is so good and they don’t skimp on the clams and meat! I love the tofu and zucchini! They also have policha, whether it is made from barley or corn I don’t know but like both!

I’ve been coming to this Korean restaurant for more than 15 years now. Same people working there always courteous and attentive. The veggies are always good and they will refill your veggies you want more of something. I really like their corn tea, so I always get that because sometimes the water tastes funny. But on my recent visit last month the water tasted ok. I usually get the fish jun, husband gets the combo with kalbi and fish jun. Sometimes I get the bibimbap because I want to eat more vegetables. Of course it’s not in a sizzling stone pot, but it’s basically the veggies with teriyaki beef on top rice. All the food I’ve tried is pretty good and I haven’t had any complaints. So if we are in the area and want to eat Korean food we will come here. Sometimes during busy lunch or dinner times we have had to wait like 30 min at most. Make sure to write your name on the list inside. Oh and if you don’t want to eat in they are really good at take out too.

Mililani BBQ is a really good local Korean dine-in restaurant. I grew up in town and my favorite Korean restaurant was Kim Chee in Kaimuki. No place I would go to I liked better. When I moved to Mililani I was happy to find Mililani BBQ was pretty comparable. Their mandoo is just like Kim Chee, the pi is thick and chewy. I hate it when I go to a Korean restaurant and I can tell their mandoo was the frozen kine from the bag. Not here, it’s housemade! The BBQ chicken and beef is good, I recently had it in the lunch special. They give little ramekins of ban chan, my favorite is the Korean pancake, really chewy and good. I remember having the meat Jun and also liking it. This place is really good for dine-in or take-out.

Work brings me to every part of the island during the week. Given that I work in the Kakaako area and don’t live in Mililani the first time we found ourselves famished we took a gamble and took our chances on Mililani Bar-B-Q. When trying out a new place for lunch our test is generally: 1. Taste 2. Price 3. Variety 4. Are we running to the restroom to drop off the Cosby kids an hour or so after eating? As the menu met needs 1 – 3 into the restaurant we went. Our first time there, we both ordered the lunch special which is only $ 7.99 which includes bulgogi, BBQ chicken, rice, a mandoo and ban chan. We both enjoyed our meals and were impressed with how quickly our meals came out, the quality of the ban chan and the service. When we got back to the office and the hours went by and we both didn’t suffer any intestinal distress we were pleased to place Mililani Bar-B-Q on our list of places to frequent when in the area. Since our initial visit many months ago we have tried the meat jun, bi bim bap, mandoo kuk su and a few more that I can’t remember. My absolute favorite is the bi bim bap. Although it does not come in a stone pot, I absolutely adore everything about this entrée. This is the first place I have ever had a bi bim bap that has fresh greens with it and the lettuce adds an additional texture to the meal that is very pleasing to the palate. Although there is not a lot of meat in the dish the variety of vegetables and other flavors meld well together and make the perfect lunch(or dinner). Their ban chan selection is extremely generous especially given the fact that we’ve only dined her during lunch hours. My favorites are the cucumber kimchee and the potato pancakes. Service is efficient and friendly and your water glass will never be empty. If you’re in the area and in need of lunch or dinner you really can’t go wrong here. Prices are reasonable and good sized portions to match.

Decided I wanted to come here and eat and boy let me tell you, I think there was something in their food, because after I ate the meat jun and Kalbi… I just went Kanak. It’s really good Korean food especially when you dine in, you get all the little side dishes. That I loved but not you would normally get at a take out yummys or tasty Korean places. I would need to try and come during dinner, I wonder how their portions are.

My coworkers and I wanted to try some place new in Mililani for lunch, so after Unilocaling the best rated places in Mililani, we found this place. If this is one of the best rated places in this town, I’m glad I don’t live in this area. First, this place is more«traditional» Korean. So they give you your meal, and the sides are served to the table. I don’t mind it like that, but some of my coworkers weren’t too thrilled with the idea saying how Tasty’s is so much better because you get your own sides. Sigh… So if you like the local plate lunch Korea style, I would not suggest coming here. We walked in and the place was packed. A good sign. They opened up the table in the back to accommodate our large group. One of the Korean ladies was very rude in her tone, and spoke to us almost like we were an inconvenience. Automatic 2 star review right there. You should never treat your customers like they are a bother. They are the whole reason you are employed. A note on drinks… they are not refillable. If you are the type that drinks 3 or 4 sodas while you are there, you will be very upset as one of my co-workers was. Each soda is $ 1.75. After they took our drink order, we waited for a while to get our food ordered. They were kind of busy, but still. We ordered and a little bit before our food came out they brought our rice and the sides. I think out of everything, I really liked the tofu and pancake. The rest of the table liked the sautéed cabbage and kim chee, which was good but I felt I had better elsewhere. They also offered seaweed, daikon, and that aburagi tofu strip thing. For a table of 6, it was not a lot, but we asked and they brought more sides as we completed them. For the taste of the sides, I raise my rating by a half point. I ordered what I always get, meat jun and kalbi. After recently eating at Youngs Kalbee, that meat jun just could not compare. The meat didn’t really have too much flavor, and it was on though side and was fairly thin. Also, the egg was just egg… I know that sounds weird but some places mix a little something into the egg mixture… maybe some salt, sesame oil, something. But this place tasted like beef seasoned with a salt/pepper and then dipped in egg and fried. I want some depth to my meat jun, and this was not it. The kalbi was okay. It was soft and had some flavor, but still there was something missing. One of my coworkers said their food tasted like it was cooked before, and then just warmed up on the stove when ordered. I agree. All in all, I give this place a 2.5 star rating, but I guess for Mililani it can be a 3 star. I would much rather take the drive to get some better tasting Korean. My coworkers weren’t thrilled either so I doubt we will ever be back during one of our lunch outings.

I like that they have banchan with the meals. I am glad that this is a good Korean food place that I can go to that is near my home. So far I have had good food there, and the service is alright. I had the mandoo guksoo which is dumpling rice cake soup which was good. I also have tried their kimchi soup which I loved. They had lots of tofu in the kimchi soup. My husband had the bulgogi and it was pretty good as well. So far I like this place as my close to home go-to Korean food/restaurant. I just wished that they had jaja myung(black bean noodles).

Dinner Special Dinner Special Dinner Special Dinner Special When I am craving really good Korean Bbq iny neck of the woods, I look no further than Mililani Bbq for some really great tasting Korean food and all I can say is that when it comes to ordering here, I have only ordered the Dinner Special and nothing else. The Dinner Special comes with Kalbi, Bbq Chicken, Bbq Beef, Meat Jun, Fried Mandoo, Korean Pancake, Banchan, and a Huge Order of Rice that makes this Big Boy happy as can be. What I really like about Mililani Bbq is that the meats don’t taste like it’s been sitting in a pan pre cooked so they just stick it on the grill for about thirty seconds and serve it to you lightning quick. I like the fact that it takes at least 15 to 20 minutes to make so I know that everything I eat is going to taste just the way Korean Bbq is supposed to. And let me tell you, the portions here are very generous and they definitely don’t skimp. I have been coming here for the past 15 years now since I moved to Mililani Mauka and all I can say is that Dong Yang and Yummy’s don’t even come close to the quality of Mililani Bbq’s Korean Food. If there is one drawback that I have to say about Mililani Bbq is that I really miss the Pickled Radish that they used to serve with my Dinner Special. It was marinated just right where it’s not too salty and not too sweet. A perfect compliment for the Dinner Soecial that I always order to go. I can actually tell you that I have never eaten inside the restaurant and I can tell you something as well. If you plan on ordering takeout during dinner time, forget it. They are extremely busy and they never ever answer their phone, so my advice to you is go to the restaurant and order takeout for dinner because that’s the only you’ll get your order in and that might be a task as well because they pack em in during dinner and its gets quite chaotic if you ask me. I just like to order my Dinner Special during lunch time where the Korean Lady actually answers the phone and takes my order. As for the Dinner Special, don’t let the 14 dollar price discourage you. It is definitely worth every penny and I can even say that it’s perfect for two people to share because of the volume of this wonderful special that they offer. All I can say is that Mililani Bbq to me, is one of the hidden treasure’s here in Mililani and I’m hope happy that its only a Hop, Skip, and a Jump away from my house and when I get hungry and want something to satisfy my appetite, this is my go to place for sure. So I will repeat this again to you my fellow Yeeps… Dinner Special Dinner Special Dinner Soecial Dinner Special
