Do you love Halloween, pumpkins, and everything Fall? Well, look no further, this place has it all! My friends and I have been going to the same haunted spot for at least 6 years, but finally last year, we had the hankering to explore and see what other spooks Central Ohio had to offer. Many people recommended(rightfully so) The Maize, so once we checked it out online, we hopped in our Batmobiles and made the 40 minute drive(in a normal car) out to what feels like the backdrop for Jeepers Creepers. Here’s a good indicator of how our night went: we went back for a second time this year, fully abandoning our nostalgic haunt from high school and whole-heartedly adopting The Maize. Why? –Bang for your buck — only $ 8 to enjoy pretty much all of the attractions there, of which there are PLENTY! Only $ 5 more for the Haunted Field. Note: haunted field. The corn maze has no creepers waiting in the shadows to pop out at you, and the haunted attraction is not a maze at all though you do wind your way through a sort of corn track for awhile. –Again, plenty to do. Goats, bunnies, rubber ducky races, pedal cars, volleyball over a giant haystack, trampoline, potato cannon, hay rides, and everyone’s favorite, a corn maze. –Cider. Also, delicious pretzel bites, pumpkin pie, caramel applies… you name it, they’ve got the perfect fall snack including s’mores kits so you can roast a marshmallow over their fire pit. –Casper. My all-time favorite ghost movie was projected on a huge screen outside of the main building. –They have the Square. Enough said. All-in-all, this place is so well taken care of and curated, the haunted house is impressive with it’s various terrifying props and scenes and rooms, the people are nice, the food is delicious and cheap, and most importantly, they manage to wrap everything wonderfall(like that?) about Fall into one place. It’s a One-Stop Shop for Autumn Fun and you’re really missing out if you don’t make the trip out every October!

WHAT A JOKE! NOTWORTHTHE $. If your kids are over 5 they are going to be bored to death. The events were way over priced and the owner was VERYRUDE. I don’t know how she plans on making any money treating people the way she does. My family and friends will NEVER return here!

I was there at 3pm. Animals were not very happy to see people and events were not organized very well. Staff was hard to find in the crowd. Kids did have fun, but at the same time they don’t care what they’re doing as long as it’s something outside.

Our first time at The Maize today and it beat our expectations. Our 2 kids — 10 and 7 had a great time exploring all that was offered. Picking pumpkins during the ‘hay’ ride and the pumpkin canon were their favorites. A very good $ value for family fun that easily takes the afternoon to enjoy.

This place was alright. Defiantly better with a group. Great for kids.

Cool! For $ 12 we got access to the rabbits to pet, the potato gun to shoot, the greased pole to climb, the toy ducks to race, the corn maze to venture through, and, of course, the haunted maze to(listen to others, of course) scream through. Really recommend going here on a night when there is an OSU game going on(sacrilege, I know), but I’m told that it gets(sh)outrageously busy on non-game nights. Plus, if you want an excuse to go, they were playing the OSU vs. Wisconsin game over the loud speakers so you could hear it while you got lost in the non-haunted corn maze — P. S. — the Buckeyes lost, people were upset, tears were had, the haunted maze attendants became zombies. So the real question: was the haunted maze scary? Well, I really didn’t think so, but definitely bring a scare-able friend because there’s a good chance they’ll scream. That was definitely a highlight! It was really well done, though, and it was a fun experience even if it wasn’t all that scary. Plus you get to do the regular corn maze and all the other fall standards for the price of admission. Fun stuff!
