Always delicious egg drop soup and hot and sour soup! Take out is the way we prefer, as the eat-in atmosphere is ok but not a «destination» per say. I am always happy with the food here and have used them for years.

In my family’s view, this is the best Chinese in town. Food is consistently very good, hot and fresh which is a strong consideration for us. Entrée’s are packed in microwaveable boxes and then stapled into paper bags so they remain piping hot on the trip home. Portion sizes are outstanding. Though we always buy take-out, there is a very simple setup for eat in if you prefer. The Restaurant is always immaculately clean and the staff friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

I was looking forward to the meal based on prior reviews and I enjoy spicy food so I ordered spicy items from the menu. The presentation was good even for carry out but the items were very bland. Garlic beef and curry chicken. The dish with the most flavor was the shrimp fried rice — not spicy, just salty(not in a bad way). Anyway, paid a lot for the dinner and I’m not sure if I’ll order again.

Ordered a quick pick up for lunch for me and mom. I ordered the chicken and brocalli with white rice(wish they had brown rice), chicken on a stick and an egg roll. Mom had shrimp egg foo young, fried rice and egg drop soup. The food was hot and ready within the estimated 15 minutes by the lady who answered the phone. Everything was delicious. Love the microwaveable containers. This is my new go to place in Midlo.

While on my quest to taste and rate the different Chinese restaurants in RVA, I stumbled across Hunan Wok. A small restaurant located in a shopping center within the town of Midlothian, it was one restaurant that I had yet to try. How did my experience go? To find out, read below. The Good: Price– Compared to a number of decent take out restaurants South of the James, this restaurant offers reasonable prices for its dishes. None of the dishes seemed terribly over priced. On the Fence: Taste– I ordered the Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Wings and Egg Drop Soup. I typically use Chicken Fried Rice as a test to see if the restaurant can produce bold flavors. The food was not bad but there was nothing to separate it from places like Jiang’s and Hunan Garden. The Bad: Portion Size of Chicken Wings– While the chicken wings were cheaper than other restaurants, they were also significantly smaller. Overall– I like the bargain at this restaurant versus others in the area, but to me the food does not stand out from typical Chinese takeout and portion size of the wings was disappointing. THREESTARS.

The best Chinese restaurant in Midlothian. I also think the $$ is incorrect as most orders cost $ 10 – 11 and have enough food to feed two average people. I would put the cost at $. Recently ordered General Tso, Sweet & Sour pork for the kids and some Hot and Sour soup. Really enjoyed two of the three(pork was a little too fried), but for the price felt the quality/quantity warranted a 5 star rating.

My favorite Chinese takeout place in Midlothian. I’ve never had a bad experience here and I’ve ordered many different dishes on the menu. They are very good with their timing and have never made an error on an order.

Great little place! Dining area basic but clean. Hot, delicious food served by courteous, attentive staff. Reasonably priced. Would come back here anytime — what a gem!

Though seemingly a pretty typical Chinese take-out restaurant, the chef takes artistic license with some dishes you thought you knew. This is a GOOD thing. Watching him cook was amazing… he is an artist and the food is excellent. Even if the ingredients and presentation is somewhat different than how other restaurants serve the same dishes. I would have rated it a 5 but the portions are small for the price.

This is located in Sycamore Square across from Martin’s. Thomas B. pretty much hit the nail on the head with his review. There are so many Chinese places in this area that the only way one could stand out is if it was truly bad(Chang Sheng gets my vote for that). I decided to order take out from here last week since I was in the area. The inside has a very small eating area which consists of a row of 8 or 9 tables lined up against a wall, but I can’t see myself ever dining in here. I could see the kitchen from where I was standing at the register and it looked very clean. I ordered the General Tso’s combo plate with fried rice and egg roll. The food was very decent and the portion was very generous for the price I paid. The lady took my order and my food was cooked and ready to go in 10 minutes as she quoted. The best part was that she tucked in the paper bag to keep my food warm which I really appreciated. I’d definitely order from this place again.

We’ve found a good chinese take-out place near my house. A small and unsophiscated restaurant but it doesnt matter to me because I wont dine in there. I wish that they had a delivery service but unfortunately nope! Good food though. Definitely keep it on my list!

This is the stereotypical Chinese take out restaurant, nothing more, nothing less. In my experience these places are nothing special if they are good and only notable if they are bad. If you like Chinese take out, go here. The owners are nice and the food does the genre justice.
