Cheap, tasty comfort food and a friendly wait staff — what more could you want for a casual dinner out?

This restaurant has a lot of great dishes and breakfast. I really love to eat here. However, I have to say, stay away from the Angus Burgers, I had the classic one. It was nothing like I expected. They better find a better meat distributor, it tasted just like factory meat made. No beef flavor. I think Mc Donald’s burger taste better. I had to share the rest with my dog, that says it all. Btw, the orange juice is good and the customer service is great.

This was my first time trying Perkins & I gotta say, I loved it. Their breakfasts are to die for. I got the Three pigs Scrambler. It came with scrambled egg stuffed with bacon sausage & bacon & with cheese on top! The pancakes are sooooo buttery. They bring coffee to your table & water and like 3 different types of syrup. They also have all the little half & half milk for coffee, all the kinds of sugar & more available on the table, which is something I love bc I dislike asking the waitress/waiter for more. The waitress that took care of us was so kind. We had a table of 10& she took take of all of us. The food seriously took like 15 mins to come. I enjoyed the breakfast here and I definitely want to come back to try the burgers & entrees they have for lunch & dinner. I really recommend this spot for breakfast.

Love Perkins! The waitress was nice. Food came out quick. We decided to stop here at last minute. The burgers were good– nothing fancy but they were juicy. I got the eggs with spinach and mushrooms. That was good. The chocolate, peanut butter cake pie– yum!!!

This location is much better than others. Omelettes cooked perfectly, not overdone or underdone. i like having the option of hash browns/potatoes AND pancakes. they give a choice of buttermilk or multigrain grain pancakes. The multigrain pancakes are too good. overall inexpensive breakfast and they advertise coupons often.

I understand that this is not a gourmet place, however, for the first time in my life, I have eaten at a franchise where everything tasted like it was either from a can, or frozen meal reheated. My 15 year old said that their chicken noodle soup was Progresso but even if it were homemade, the sodium level was through the roof. This was certainly a cheap meal, but honestly, I would have done better off with a food from Stewart’s. The quality was much lower than what I had experienced at IHOP, TGIF, Applebee, Cracker Barrel, etc.

Great breakfast choices and the buttermilk pancakes taste better than the ones at IHOP. The breakfast potatoes are great also. I ordered the build your own omelette which comes with breakfast potatoes or hash browns. It also comes with toast or pancakes. Big breakfast for those who like to eat.

The food btw was more three star level, but I have two stars for service. I have been here several times, and in general service does tend to be an issue. I recently came here for dinner and found the place practually empty. We ordered the blt sandwich and the meatloaf melt sandwich from the«great plates» menu. Our server was friendly but largely absent. We had to wait very long periods of time to get a hold of her for anything, even after she gave us our food and we asked for a little mayo on the side, we’d eaten almost half our food before she finally came back. The food was fine. The blt was dry but the meatloaf melt was pretty good. Also got the red silk pie dessert which is a cream pie layered with red velvet cake, which was quite good. Prices were good, about $ 20 for the meal. I wasn’t happy however that the coupon I got in the mail, which advertized the great plate specials… did not include the great plate specials in the coupons… stupid.

Stopped in to Perkins for a quick brunch meal on the way back from the Catskills. It wasn’t too crowded and we were seated immediately by the host. I’ve eaten at other Perkinses across the country while on business and their food is consistent, except this time. The breakfast platters seemed rather small, but OK. The soup was salty and my aunt didn’t finish hers because she thought canned soup tasted better. And for the first time, my son the bottomless pit, didn’t finish his chicken & biscuits platter. The great service certainly saved them a star and another saving grace was giving us whole insulated carafes of coffee & hot water for tea. As far as chain family restaurants go for breakfast, I definitely prefer Denny’s.

So this is the second time I’ve stopped in to this location. Both times I’ve enjoyed the food. I have to say today is a little different though. I dont know his name but there us a young server here today that is fantastic. He has been friendly, fast, accomodating and right on point with all his tables around me. You can see he takes pride in his work and it is so refreshing to see. I run a restaurant and I’m sorry to say it is far and few in between that I have the privelege to see a server of this caliber walk through my doors. **My receipt says his name is Kyle** Good job, Kyle!

Rating this on the level of your other chain pancake joints I’d have to say I quite enjoyed this. Things tasted fresher, not so much like it was all frozen and shipped there how it was supposed to be. I had a pretty regular breakfast but also had the blueberry stuffed French toast which was very enjoyable but a ton of bread and split the pumpkin oatmeal pancakes which definitely delivered on what they say they are. It was a large group of us and we all enjoyed our meals and the service was excellent and incredibly friendly and all of the servers seemed that way. They didn’t look like they were punished and ordered to work there. Is there another restaurant I would rate above them? Yes, because I eat their breakfast, lunch and dinner even though I don’t always love the service and it’s more of a touristy place. All things considered, the price was right, the service was completely above what we expected and the pies are good. Oh yeah you don’t want to leave without pie.

Nice and cheap if you’re down for that. Otherwise, nothing special about this place. It’s a franchise and clearly going through the motions of being open and«serving» food. Everything about frozen, preservative fast food can be found here. You’re better off going to the grocery store across the street! They have awesome choices, freshly made, well packaged and most of all, will most likely save money for better quality! Otherwise, perk it up! And enjoy!

I have heard people rave about Perkins for years and I understand why. If one looks at Perkins as a diner and not a restaurant, you will like it too. Traveling from NYC to Central or Western NY can be challenging to begin with so consistent decent food for all, at a good price is important. This Perkins is situated off Rt. 17 and is one of the last major areas to find a multitude of provisions before hitting Binghamton.
The food is fine. The closer to breakfast items you get the better. The service at this location was very good, helpful and patient with little children. While there will be other diners on the way west, this is cheaper and a convenient stop on that long drive.

Better than your average diner. The breakfast special @ $ 3.99 is cheap and the servings filling. The staff are friendly and attentive.
