We have been wanting to try this place. One night we saw the rotisserie chicken spinning and found parking so we came in. We ordered the whole chicken combo, and chicharron. Chicken was very salty and the chicharron was unrecognizable see picture. DRY, very DRY. How can anyone pass off a shitty piss of meat this way. It does not take much to lose a customer, why serve a dry overcooked piece of chicharron.
The seating area is clean but with a kitchen area so small, i can see how it is difficult to keep clean. Workers are touching raw chicken and cooked chicken all without gloves, dropping and picking up things from the floor… Not such a clean operation. AT 28.00 not worth it.

Next time please make sure the cheese on the arepa isn’t old. You can smell my sour arepa from a mile away. I love my ‘arepas con queso’ .Dissatisfied.

I’ve order for delivery from many places like this so I kinda knew what to expect but I was very surprised with just how much better the food was here. The chicharrons were so good. Plenty of pork on them and perfectly crispy skin. Also, the steak was so good and cooked great. It really was delicious. The chorizo was large and flavorful. The corn cake was grilled and great to dip in the green sauce which comes with the meal. This is definitely where I’m gonna get Columbian food from now on. This place is great!

Delicious juicy rotisserie chicken served fresh out of the oven goes great with the green hot sauce affordable and delicious what else can you ask for? I never get tired of eating this food. So yummy =)

Hi Unilocal fans I live in middle village and recently found this restaurant on metropolitan avenue I rarely make comments on businesses unless I have something really important to say negative or positive well I want to comment on Ricos chicken I was there this past mother’s day celebrating with my son and the service was beyond extraordinary the girls are so attentive and sweet but most importantly the food was so DELICIOUS my son had the skirt steak which has this delicious chimichurri sauce he almost ate the plate and I had the bandeja paisa with that green sauce they make it was to die for I want to congratulate Ricos chicken for coming to my neighborhood we needed good quality food. I highly recommend this restaurant to any Latin food lover you can’t go wrong!.

RUDEST PEOPLE EVER. Here are my two experiences at this Rico’s Chicken:
1. Wouldn’t let my son use the bathroom after we ate here because we weren’t ordering food at that moment. I explained we live across the street and have eaten here before and she said, «either sit down and order something or leave».
2. With a $ 50 to go order the same nasty woman wouldn’t give me a tiny plastic thing of chimmi churri because we didn’t order steak. We told her we like it with the chicken and she simply replied, «Chimmi Churri is not for chicken, it’s only for steak». With a $ 50 order, she denied us $.25 condiment because she’s just a mean person.
Look at how many reviews on Unilocal say the same thing! Wake up Rico’s you guys suck! Get out of my town if you hate serving my neighborhood. I tell everyone on the block to boycott this establishment and their nasty disposition.

We stopped by for a quick lunch before taking the kids for the haircut at Franky’s Place. The place looked rather cheap, but was full of Colombians (always a good sign) and had a nice family vibe.
We had a family combo with grilled chicken, french fries, rice and beans, and avocado salad. Wow! The food was fresh and delicious. Drinks and food came to a touch over US$ 32 for 4 people. Highly recommended for low price, delicious food, attentive service. We are looking forward to the next haircut /​lunch visit to Middle Village.

I loveee this place !!! Has the best food I had try in middle village ! Honestly im happy I love sooo close t this place. The bandeja paisa is one of my favorite plates and my bf always ask for the same plate. I love their staff super friendly and I always feel welcome. Def a gold place hidden in middle village

This place definitely has great food, but the staff provides their loyal customers with a big f*#% you. I ordered a chicken salad to pick up. When I got home, there was no chicken. When I called to let them know the mistake, the girl who answered the phone actually started arguing with me that I did not order a chicken salad. I asked for them to deliver the chicken as I should not have to walk back because of their error. After 3 holds and 5 minutes, she refused to have the chicken delivered to rectify THEIR mistake since they «didn’t think they should have to deliver only $ 2 worth of chicken.» Way to treat your repeat customers. I guess I will have to find another chicken place since I will not give this business another dime.

The food came an hour after they said it would be delivered. 2 ½ hours after ordering and it was just empanadas. The delivery guy also gave me someone else’s order. Food was cold. While the food tasted good after reheating it really wasn’t worth the wait.

No stars! I placed an order from this place at 7:15 and didn’t receive my delivery until 10pm and it was cold! In addition to that the restaurant didn’t send my avocado salad which was $ 7.00 and when I called back telling them it was missing the girl on the phone had the nerve to say that I would have to wait until other deliveries were made before they can send me a new one. When I asked for a refund (since I paid with a credit card) I was told that was not an option and if my salad was missing something else from my order should have been missing! Now tell me if that makes any sense! Very unprofessional and the food wasn’t all great to go through this hassle!

The restaurant is kinda small, but does look very cute. I decided to try their Colombian platter. Thirteen dollars for a massive portion size; I could barely finish half of it! I was not a big fan of the plantain, but the pork rind (I dont even like pork usually) and the steak were amazing. They have a pretty diverse menu, so I really wanna try some of their other dishes. Thumbs up from me!

I was looking for lunch and was in the neighborhood and saw this Latin spot. I checked Unilocal and was excited about the two excellent reviews I read. I had a taste for pork chops and ordered a pork chop meal for $ 12. The restaurant is small, very clean with a cute décor. I ordered my food to go and it took a little longer than I expected. The staff were friendly and I really hate giving a poor review but the food was way too bland to be a Latin spot. I received rice and beans and a small side of salad with my porkchops and the salad was my favorite. The portions were big enough for me to eat two days and the 2nd day of food didn’t taste any better than the first. For $ 12, I was expecting a lot better. There are way too many Latin spots that are much cheaper and taste way better. Sorry :-(.

It’s a narrow entrance that opens up into a slightly larger dining area.
I’m not sure about the restroom situation since I didn’t need to use it.
Food came out piping hot, flavorful, and nothing short of delicious. BUT! there was a hair on the table that wasn’t mine. It could of been a previous person sitting there or the waitress that didn’t have her hair tied. :/​Other than that, everything was awesome.
