Great local hang out. Not pretentious at all which is what a neighborhood bar should be.

Love The Bend, great drinks and super chill ambiance. My friend brought me here last year telling me it’s a hidden dive bar so I wasn’t expecting much. It’s definitely hidden but I was surprised how it is really nice inside! I love craft cocktails and they have that in spades! Don’t expect to get food there, though they do have popcorn, they let you bring food in from one of the neighboring food places so that’s good

They really have fun here with #StarWars night and DJ night. I always fell like I can just relax or be load or chat while watching 1 of 8 Tvs

I’m so excited that a place with such a cool vibe has opened up in my neighborhood. We came on a Friday night around midnight and it was easy to find a spot at the bar where the bartender quickly worked his magic… these are some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had and we’re already planning a return visit to try out the rest of the menu. The music was a little on the loud side but that’s because was a live DJ and the tunes were on point! Great place to just unwind after a long day. I can’t say enough over how relaxed the atmosphere is; Miami really needs more places like The Bend and they’ve made a happy regular out of me from just one night.

The Bend raises Miami Lakes and the Palemetto’s coolness factor by a smidgen, paired with the Los Perros hot dog stand two doors down this shopping complex is a hodge podge. Be careful of going to the Bend for Happy Hour because they advertise different drink prices on the tables than what the bartenders will charge. We had a difference of at least $ 10 when they tried to charge us for regular priced drinks that were ordered and consumed during happy hour. The bartender didn’t ring out the bill until we were ready to leave later in the night and thus wanted to charge us full price. I would recommend cashing out after happy hour if you plan to hang around. The drinks are tasty, the bar tenders are down to earth, and the bar was crowded but still had plenty of elbow room.

How did I find: Man this place has been around for years. Used to be a different crowd but lately everytime we go to Los perros we hear good music and a decent crowd roll in. Parking: pretty easy Expectations: Let’s not lie. We all have heard that the place was shot up a while back. Of course the first thought is ghetto… but you will be pleasantly surprised at this hole in the wall. Experience: the few times I’ve stumbled in here I’ve had a blast. Cheap drinks, good crowd, juke box(great music playing) and clean place. Nothing shady at all. Plus if you have a little more than you expected, Los Perros is right next door. Happy hour prices are great. Ambiance: It’s a total dive bar. small but quaint and the staff is friendly. The patio is my style. Garden style. Open and clean. Twinkle lights for good measure. Ask them to show you the game«aggravation» or pick up a set on Domino’s in the back and play w your peeps. Good time, right in the area. No need to drive to the f%#@g beach. Would I go back: 100%

Great little bar in Miami Lakes… Awesome selection of Craft Beer which is hard to find in this area… Get to the juke box early. There are a few selection of snacks but a couple of restaurants next door which you can order from and bring over.

The Bend is the place to go when you want to enjoy quality cocktails or good, local beer. The place design and décor are other reasons to stop by. This place is a gem. I recommend The Bees Knees or the Old Fashioned. Happy hour is great. Saturday night is a great night. The beers on tap are phenomenal, you won’t find anything like it so close to home.

If you like good beer and hanging out with other chill people who like good beer than you will love The Bend. I definitely did not expect them to have such an amazing beer selection because I didn’t do any research beforehand but I walked in and saw Regresa A Mi on tap and knew I had found a keeper. I loved how it had a 70’s lounge vibe and there was a little outdoor seating area that looked cute.(It was raining all day so it wasn’t really an option for us) My friends and I were pretty much the only people there the whole night and we(very loudly) played Heads Up and Taboo for a few hours. I kept expecting the bartenders to tell us to quiet down or at least roll their eyes at the screaming millennial’s but they just went about their business which I thought was cool of them. The location is in a strip mall just off the Palmetto in Miami Lakes, which makes it great for me to meet with my friends who live a little further north. Will definitely be back soon.

I had heard about this place online & had been meaning to check it out for some time now since it’s so close to my house. Me and a friend walked in here on Saturday night and we were happily surprised by the cool ambiance, it had a very hipster vibe. We later found out that Saturdays were karaōke night, which was pretty entertaining to watch. We found 2 seats at the bar and ordered drinks. My friend ordered a dark & stormy and I ordered a Moscow mule for the first time. I found it to be very refreshing. It’s a rather small bar but big enough that it wasn’t overcrowded. We also order the cinnamon toast shots and I ordered some craft beer that i cant remember the name of. They had a whole selection of different beers, and the mixologists don’t play around when it comes to making the drinks. We stayed for a couple of hours enjoying the vibe and music until we left to grab something to eat at los perros next door. I definitely would come back here to grab a drink again I found it a lot more pleasant than the ale house or flannigans.

Local local local bar. Hope you don’t change. Great selection of beers, they make their own drinks in house. Relax and friendly bar. Nothing else like this in Miami. Thank you to bar manager jason for the drink selection.

Great place to grab drinks and play some games. They have a good selection in cocktails and craft beers as well. It used to be a place called My Place and was changed into The Bend Liquor Lounge. It has a nice outdoor area with string lights. The inside is nice, but kind of small.

I absolutely love this place! My boyfriend and I(along with a few of our friends) are regulars here. The vibe is great and the service is just as good. I can always count on Shannon to greet me with a smile and good conversation, Sam to make exceptional drinks, and Jason to fill us in on the new drinks we should expect to see on the board in the future. Also, Cards Against Humanity — need I say more? I don’t but I will… If you don’t want to be around too many people, I would suggest going before 10 or during the week. There is usually a good turn out Friday nights when they have a live DJ there and Saturday nights as well. Karaōke night just switched over to Saturday so I expect Saturday nights to be even more crowded moving forward. No matter how big or small the crowd, this place has just the atmosphere that Miami Lakes needed. The drinks are always good and the people are always pleasant. The Bend has my vote any day.

What an awesome spot! It actually made me feel like i was in Southern Cali. That was the vibe i felt walking in. First off, walking up and hearing The Bouncing Souls play totally sold me from the start. The place has an old school feel with a very relaxed crowd. From what I was told it use to be a dive bar, but later was bought out and revamped. That night, they were having a Star Wars première party and they offered great Star Wars themed drink specials. We had Darth Vader and a Storm Trooper behind the bar attending to us and they were great. The old fashions were on point! You have Mrs. Pac Man, Jenga and Cards Against Humanity to choose from among just your usual conversations. We decided to go with CAH. Later in the evening, they had a DJ come play for the event and he played a variety of good tunes. Even though I don’t live close I will definitely make it a point to come back. This place is definitely my vibe.

I’ve visited twice. This a nice little bar with a good list of alcoholic beverages. The music is pretty good and there’s an interesting mix of people here. The staff is nice and it’s a good place to come with a group of friends or a few to have a chat and unwind. Its casual and has a nice little outside area as well.

This is exactly what Miami Lakes needed for a long time! I’m so glad there is finally another alternative to Flanigans or Ale house in the area. If you’re looking to drink from an extensive list of craft beers or have a cocktail look no further, this is the spot! This lounge is small, clean, cozy, and overall has a chill, cool, friendly vibe to it. The bartenders, managers, owners are all outstanding, and are extremely attentive, the service here is absolutely five stars! The drinks they make are on point, seriously they put so much care and passion into making their drinks, if you don’t believe me just try the old-fashioned! One of the best I’ve ever had! They also have the boilermaker special daily which runs about $ 6 – 8 dollars and consists of a daily selected shot & beer. The drinks are also at great affordable prices. Another cool feature about this spot is they do have a selection of board games to play at the bar as well such as connect four, jenga, pac-man, galaga, and darts. At the bend lounge they also have numerous events held throughout the week such as ladies night Wednesday, Karaōke Thursdays, oh and of course happy hour specials as well, and did I mention they’re the best! If you follow their Instagram account you can catch up on all the events they have planned for the month. They also do tap takeovers, I know the last one was with MIA brewing and it was a fun, great time! I’m a regular here at The Bend, and have been coming since after the first month they’ve opened. I’ve been extremely satisfied with the service and always have a great time out here. I hope this bar stays to last, and if you haven’t been here yet I highly recommend trying it out! I’ve told all my friends about it and all of them enjoyed the atmosphere, drinks, and service at The Bend too.

I am going to get straight to the point: I wanted to like this place. I was rooting for it– we were ALL rooting for it. My first experience here was great. It was late night on a weekday, I wanted a simple drink and I showed up here because I heard the new owner had really revamped it. He sure did! Before, this was the seediest joint in Miami Lakes. The former business owners didn’t know what they had on their hands, especially for the fact that its located next to Los Perros– pretty much the spillout for most drunken nights for anyone in the Miami Lakes/Hialeah/Miami Gardens area. I came, the bartender told me they always had shot and beer specials and I got my buzz, paid and left. Great experience! But, last night this place completely dropped 3 stars– and I think I’m being generous even giving it that. When I showed up, it was slam packed! Good for them, bad for me. The bartenders were awful, though, which made it worse. Two young girls with glasses, fumbling around behind the bar, struggling to make simple drinks. At first, they took SO long to take our orders. About 15 mins into being there, they hadnt even looked at the four of us standing there. Finally, their boss asked if we had ordered, and when we said we had not, he commanded one girl to serve us. The girl did, went over to the other side of the bar and didn’t make our drinks. In fact, I went outside, had 2 cigarettes and when I went to check– she just BEGAN to make our drinks. When I watched her, she did not fill her pour measurer for any of our drinks and forgot to put Jameson in my friends drink, and had we not watched her she would have probably passed house liquor off as top shelf. She also accidentally poured an extra shot of liquor out and we all watched her pour it back in the bottle, now contaminating the bottle of vodka– which is illegal. Honestly, these two girls were so bad they should be fired immediately. The drink prices are great. Especially for how great their drink menu is– spectacular. Had my drink been properly poured, I would have felt okay about it, but it was so weak I closed my bill and left immediately. The owner or manager(not sure his position) was way more attentive than our two bartenders. I really hope this place improves in service quality because I definitely will be returning if they up their game there. I will be sticking to their beer & shot specials, for sure. Who can go wrong there?

Just came to this place on a whim. A cozy place, I read about the illegal activities in the Miami New Times. Drinks are priced well. The staff are extremely attentive. I think I will make this my new hangout spot. Screw flannys and ale house. The crowd is wonderful and causal. It is a harbinger of good feels. Will recommend to anyone seeking a secluded yet inviting place to hang with friends or dates. Parking is available, GALAGA is available, and awesome cocktails and Beer are ever flowing with quality and style.

After hearing about this place on Unilocal and reading all the great reviews, I was really excited to finally check it out for myself and enjoy some fancy cocktails. My boyfriend and I went on a Friday night around 10pm and were pleased with the ambiance, layout, and décor from the minute we walked in. We’re Mad Men junkies lately so we have a soft spot for anything with a 1960s-70s look. We instantly thought: «This is a place Donald Draper would like to drink at.» We were immediately greeted by, what would turn out to be, one of the best mixologist we’ve ever had. He was very personable and made some good recommendations on drinks and snacks. Their cocktail list covers the quintessentials — Mai Tais, Martinis, Mojitos, Old Fashioned, Margaritas. Yet, just from watching the bartenders make the drinks, you could notice how much effort they put into avoiding the use of mixers and short-cuts. I started with a Pain Killer and the bartender recommended a Sazerac for my boyfriend, an Old Fashioned with a twist — the glass is rinsed with absinthe so it leaves a unique aftertaste and flavor. I’m a whisky girl so I was surprised I hadn’t heard of it before, but I totally dig it. It was definitely up there with some of the best old fashioned drinks I’ve had. My Pain Killer was really delicious, too. It took me back to being on a tropical island with a piña colada in my hand, but better. It wasn’t overly sweet, but still had its fruity taste and a nice strong kick at the end. While we enjoyed our first cocktails, we ordered some of their seasoned popcorn to munch on. They come pre-packaged, but tasted fresh and delicious. The bacon and cheddar was great, it tasted a lot like real bacon — not artificial tasting. Their salt and vinegar was just as tasty, and we found that mixing both flavors together really complemented the other. For my second round of libations I went with their Moscow Mule. I had never had one before and was happy with how refreshing it was. This place has a nice extensive beer list. I think any real beer lover would be giddy just looking at their lineup. As we enjoyed our second(and last) round at the bar — a Delirium Tremens and they Dark & Stormy cocktail — we took in the good tunes coming from their electronic jukebox. There was a nice mix of 70’s Classic Rock, old school hip hop, country, you name it. We also spotted a dart board in the back. The whole vibe of the place is very laid back and comfortable. By the time we were leaving to grab some food next door at Los Perros, every bar stool was about full and there was a good crowd going. I can only imagine that once word spreads about how great the drinks, service, and vibe of this place is, it will start filling up every night. We look forward to returning soon to enjoy some more delicious cocktails. I just wish they had more variety of snacks/food. Although I get food isn’t really what they’re trying to do, it probably would’ve kept us there longer if we could’ve had something more filling to curb our hunger. I also didn’t see any of their board games lying around that I had seen other Unilocalers post about. Watch out local Miami Lakes bars, this place is about to give you a run for your money!

If you live in Miami Lakes, this bar used the be the rowdy lounge next to Los Perros. This little bar has now been transformed into a specialty cocktail and craft beer lounge. Once you park outside, you will see a banner that states exactly the truth– it’s not what it used to be. This place is dimly lit, has couches, and and outside area if you are looking for an intimate conversation. They have a pretty great beer selection, and every time I go, the mixologists get better and better. There is no longer a need to go to south beach for those wonderful cocktails we enjoy, as they are now in our backyard! The owner and bartenders are very knowledgeable and kind. I truly hope this bar flourishes!
