Order takeout. Being a server here means making the runner do all the work and only showing up to receive the tip. Don’t expect good service or even water refills. If you sit outside, expect to be forgotten. A bit pricy for what it’s worth but the food is still good. I would just order takeout or find another option.

Pretty good. I went to Sushi Siam around 7:30 and was seated immediately. Ordered a sushi and sashimi combo and our food was fresh and arrived at a decent time. Our service was great as well. Couldn’t help but notice our waiter was always walking everywhere quickly. The restaurant itself wasn’t very crowded at all but I’m pretty sure they’re mostly busy during lunch hours. Overall, I do plan on coming back soon

Been to this place probably 5 or 6 times. 2 things you can always guarantee. The food will be pretty good but the service will always suck. Today was no exception. Ordered Pork Pad Thai, it was great. Only problem is it took 30 mins to arrive. Now that I’m done and want to leave, our server is nowhere to be found. How these guys are still in business is a mystery since it’s alway empty.

This used to be our«go to» place but I am not sure what happened– change of management or chef but the prices have gone up, quantity went down and so did the quality. They put huge chunks of chicken breast in the curry. I am so sad and disappointed :/

I’m not sure what’s going on here. Every 3 to 4 months I give this place a try and I’m trying to figure out how they can be competitive if you don’t serve lunch quickly, your sushi is pretty much mediocre at best and your prices aren’t that competitive. I won’t get into my stomach aches. Most likely it’s the location which is pretty central so A+ there.

I’ve eaten here many times. Called this evening at 5 and spoke to a woman who said I needed to call back at 5:30 to place my order. OK. Called back at 5:30 and spoke to «Ricardo» who said I needed to call back at 6 to place my order. When I asked to speak with a manager, he said there was none there. I know that’s a lie — and I am a person that does not give business to restaurants that are run like that. I now understand why the restaurant is always empty inside.

The food was great. the staff not so much. Out waiter, Tato, didn’t really know the menu. After paying for the Neal, he didn’t bring the change back and my friend ending up leaving without it.

I had eaten at Sushi Siam before and inspite of all the other Japanese and Asian fusion options exploding around Brickell area, I came to eat lunch here again, since I wanted something Thai. I ordered the Spicy Basil with Chicken dish and it came out nice and hot. However, they do not use the fragrant Jasmine rice found in other Thai restaurants, but an ordinary un-flavorful rice. The amount of chicken was just right in proportion to the green peppers and onions. The quantity was sufficient, but I ordered«Hot,» for«Spicy.» It came out temperature hot, but was not really«Hot» in the sense of Thai food. I wanted to ask the waiter for some Thai condiments, but he never came around again. I arrived at 2:40 pm and it was nearing 3 pm and the staff had disappeared to the other end of the restaurant to eat their lunch at 2:55 pm and that is cool, but I would have appreciated the waiter doing that one table check of, «Is everything alright?» before clearing the empty plate and seeing if I wanted the bill. To his credit, he was polite and professional. Nothing wrong with his manner and treatment. I guess that is why he deserved the automatic 15% tip they add on to your bill. I don’t begrudge the wait staff tip for ordinary service, having been in the service industry myself. However, this automatic tip discourages folks from adding more, because it is kind of annoying to be told how much to tip. I usually tip more, but not when forced. All in all, I will be back because it was okay and if you want Thai in Brickell you are captive to this choice, but they would do well to wise up and not think that people are limited to places to eat in Brickell. Although not a five star restaurant, they should make a better effort for people that are used to five star service(not me but I am familiar).

This was our second dinner choice since the first restaurant we picked on Unilocal was closed due to unexpected repairs. We were a little uncertain of this pick because of previous reviews but the sushi/thai craving was strong and we had tunnel vision on satisfying it. We were sat right away and opted for outdoor seating. It was dimly lit, quiet and decorated with various strings of lights and flowers. Modern and romantic. We started with water and wine. The restaurant was out of Rose(apparently, there Rose is a popular item) so I opted for white zinfandel. The grub: we started with a salmon & whitefish seviche, miso soup and spicy tuna & eel sushi roll(named Beauty and the Beast on their menu). The seviche was delicately displayed with sliced salmon rounding the whitefish and octopus center. Each piece of salmon had a thin slice of fresh jalapeño and we found it to be an excellent compliment to the dish. The miso was standard but it hit the spot. The sushi rolls were fresh, decently sized and the eel sauce was not overpowering! I find that to be an issue with a lot of sushi restaurants. We were pleased with our starters but disappointed that the restaurant didn’t offer gluten free soy sauce. Fortunately, the flavor of all of our food made up for it. For our main course, we ordered spicy Panang curry with vegetables and spicy sauce with vegetables and shrimp. The spicy levels were perfect! My date ordered brown rice($ 1 extra) but I forgot so when the waiter came back to check on us, I asked if I could switch out my white rice. He took care of it, free of charge=BONUS points! We were too full for dessert but our sushi/thai craving was completely satisfied. Service was good, even with 18% gratuity already included in the check. If we were locals to the Brickell area, we’d frequent this spot.

Went to sushi Siam on a Saturday night for dinner. The lighting was toned down and the entire place was clean and well organized. It was easy to get a table and our waiter was very friendly. He was knowledgable about the dishes we queried about and also very helpful with suggestions including his favorites. I got the shrimp Panang curry and my date picked the thin noodles. The curry came out perfectly. If I could put it on everything I would and I did. I even added the curry to the noodles. The taste couldn’t be anymore perfect. I’ve tried Panang at several other places and this is definitely up there as one of the tops! Next visit to this place I will definitely be trying the sushi and of course, once again… Panang curry!

It is very, very unfortunate I am having to write this review. After 5 years of enjoying Sushi Siam via delivery we opted in skipping the waits around the neighborhood and dine in at the 5% occupancy Sushi Siam. Our portion of the check ordered 2 rolls and the chicken pad Thai. The rolls were ready to be served in a matter of minutes after placing order but for some reason were left on the counter waiting to be served with the hot plates? We suggested to the ear plugged waiter that the rolls were ready but he assured us everything would be served accordingly. Unfortunately he was wrong. Piping hot pad Thai came followed by two sushi rolls that had been sitting on counter for a minimum of 20 minutes. Very, very poor experience and will not be going back, or ordering out for that matter. Ps. Service was terrible and a glass of wine and 16oz beer had to be brought to plugs’ attention. Hate that was in group, otherwise would have disputed the 15% service charge or lack there of.

We come here for lunch every so often and normally the food is ok. Nothing great but today it was horrible. I ordered s plate with teriyaki chicken and the chicken was literally inedible. I’m not one to complain but it was just sooooo bad. I couldn’t cut it with my knife, literally. It was like a sauced piece of rubber. I ate my rice and veggies and left the chicken untouched and mentioned it to the waiter when he picked up the plate. I saw him let others know and no one cared. No one came over to apologize or even comment on the situation. If you are in the area and want Thai head to Nikko. Much better quality.

Great service and ambiance, however the sashimi was extremely fishy and sushi wasn’t up to par.

I really don’t understand why this restaurant is having some bad reviews, I just had my second experience here and it was awesome, as an appetizer shumai, which are great. As an entrée you can order the Orange Roll and you’ll enjoy it, that’s for sure. If you are not a sushi person, you could try some yakisoba or steak teriyaki, they’re both great options to order! And don’t miss desserts! You definitely must try their tempura ice cream and their molten lava cake, they’re just AWESOME! Still good service, waiters are very attentive!

I was pleasantly surprised with this spot. Sushi is one of my favorite meals, which also makes me very picky. I found this sushi quite good. The spicy tuna roll is very good along with the dragon roll.

Ok they have a huge potential here… First time at this location. Ordered my only dish I always order. Lobster roll. Generous portion of lobster. Tad over-fried for my taste but hey it’s better than soggy/greasy. I do recommend this dish. Rice needs to be cooked w bit less water tho. Enjoyed the meal overall.

IF I CANGIVEITZEROSTARS I WOULD. Do not go to this Sushi Siam. This is hands down the worse one I’ve ever been too. I would much rather suggest you go to the one in South Beach. The drive is definitely well worth it it. At this one you will have nothing but terrible food, shitty service, and a HUGEHEADACHE! Besides the fact that I couldn’t understand a word they were saying because none of them spoke english they got my whole order wrong. It was completely undercooked. I got food poisoning. A request to upgrade white rice to fried rice was not possible. Mam or whatever her name is(the manager) I asked to speak to was a complete waste of time and help. I should’ve just left the restaurant and not paid for anything. Someone should burn this place to the ground.

My favorite lunch spot in Brickell! Amazing service, amazing food, and amazing prices! The lunch specials are to die for, try the Glass Noodles with Beef or the Garlic Sauce with Beef! I’ve never had a bad meal here, and I eat here around twice a week for lunch. Also, for those who love spicy food, order your meal Thai Hot and they really deliver! Love love love this place, I will be going for as long as I work and live in Brickell.
