Sunset Eyes Optical

I went to sunset eyes optical to get some new glasses for my grandpa and the service was excellent! We’ve been to so many opticals and the service has never been as personal as what we got here. They made it a point to cater to our needs and make sure we were happy with everything. We got him a new pair of Oakleys that were 40% off the frames which was a great deal. I also found some sunglasses I have spent FOREVER looking for and couldn’t find anywhere else! I would definitely recommend it

I’ve been going to this eye doctor for a couple of years. The office recently moved and the office is a little bigger than what it used to be. The doctor is friendly and explains to you what is going on with your eyesight. The prices are a bit steep, but i haven’t really compared to other places. With insurance for me and my 2 sons, it runs me about $ 500.00 for the glasses and exam. Staff is very friendly as well.

I’m on vacation from California and accidentally stepped on my prescription sunglasses and totally bent both arms twisting the hinges. Went to Sunset Eyes Optical since they were open on Saturday, to see if they could be repaired. To replace them would have cost me over $ 250 and the wait time to get them would have been by Tuesday of that next week. Miraculously, the optometrist was able to straighten the hinges and made them good as new. And… he didn’t charge me a dime. I was so grateful, but he would not accept any money. He made my vacation! I would recommend him to anyone!!!

First of all, the service was pretty good. The optometrist carried himself well and the receptionist was really friendly. The service is what made me give this place 2 stars as opposed to one.
The eye exam was decent in price but the prices for the frames and lenses were high for me. The reason I wrote the review was because I got two pairs of glasses and within a year, a crack developed in the lens. For no apparent reason. I wore one pair for a while and a small crack developed that grew across the entire lens. I was upset but I thought maybe it was my fault. After a while, I tried my backup second pair of glasses. Within a few months, it developed a small crack and grew up the entire length of the lens!
It was upsetting having spent more than $ 200 on 2 pairs of glasses in which both didnt even last a full year for me. Just recently got new glasses elsewhere.
