My food was delicious. This was my first time trying Cuban cuisine. Didn’t have a chance to make it to the infamous Verisilles however a friend and I came here due to getting lost on the expressway trying to get to another mall and we decided to come into Dolphin mall to grab a bite. Rolled the dice and said may as well try some Latin flavor since we were in Miami. I am so glad that we did. I cannot remember the Spanish name for the meal I had but it had chicken, shrimp, plantains, and rice with options of beans. I skipped the beans bc I’m just personally not a fan. But when that chicken came out tho!!! I tore it up. The server was very attentive. We came here early in the day and it was pretty empty so I’m not sure if that had anything to do with the server being attentive or not bc normally we get pretty crappy/slow service at a majority of Miami restaurants. Anyway, I will be sure to get this again next time I’m in Miami. Also the mojitos were pretty good and big. I’m not a huge drinker so it was too much for me but my friend finished it for me and they liked it.

I went on Saturday night with 2 of my friends so we can dance and drink. I was greeted by a hostess that was very rude. I asked her how long the wait was and she shrugged her shoulders and said I don’t know. This bothered me and she couldn’t give us the approximate wait or even guesstimate the time. I had to wait 15 minutes to be told by the manager that the wait would be over 45 minutes. The bar was completely empty and there was a lot of bar stools that we couldve sat at.

I gave this place 1 star because I had to put something. First of all you walk in there and there is a male host. I guess he’s too good for the people that come to spend money at this place cause he acted like a jerk off the bat. We sat down at a table that was practically on top of the table next to it. Which was a little silly since they have a «dance» floor in which they could have used to fill the dining room since the band doesn’t seem to arrive till after 9:30 pm. and there is no music you could dance to at that time anyways. It was a waste of space and loss of revenue. The management doesn’t seem to have that together. The waiter came and brought the appetizers right away and then we put in our food order. Our food arrived within half an hour. The grilled chicken I ordered from the kids menu for my child was raw. I knew right away as I was cutting into it. Then I flashed my light into it and I could see the rawness. We didn’t see the waiter again for about 45 minutes so in the meantime we flagged someone down to tell them about it. We couldn’t tell if this guy was a manager because the staff is all kind of dressed the same and no one really seems to look like they are in charge. I let him know hat it was raw. At least he offered if I wanted a replacement or to order something else. I had lost my appetite and I kindly declined. As we were about to get out, another party was coming in to the next table and they were bumping into us. It was no fault of theirs really because the tables were so close together like I said previously. So we left and we smelled so much like food. My recommendation is to be careful of this place.

Very poor service for The menú price, they have to many people because is located inside the Dolphin mall. Let me start with the drinks, we order a mojito pincher and honestly the worst mojito I ever tasted. We called the waiter and complaint about the mojito and we ordered other drinks, and an appetizer. The bad part is that they charged fully the mojito we never drank. I do not recommend it, if you looking for a good mojito. And is overprice for the quality.

WORSEANDBAD at the same time, I would not come back ever, ever again to this sadness place, the food all gastly and greasy, the manager needs customer service classes and a good ungermanagment treatment, horrible place to go with family and kids, they should close and open a farm mojitos for animals not for people, my advice, don’t eat don’t spend your money in here is not worth it

Although it’s a place for mojitos, they have full bar, consequently they should know how to make a decent martini and serve it in a martini glass, not in a cocktail one. Food was just barely ok. The tostones rellenos” were average and the Marquitas were on a burned side. Sevice was acceptable.

La atención muy buena, la comida deliciosa, si lo recomiendo, lo único es que no tienen terminales para pagar con tarjeta electrónica y literal te tienes que meter hasta la cocina para introducir tu nip o clave.

I came down to Miami like I normally do throughout the year and I needed to go to Dolphin Mall to pick up a few things. We were starving from traveling so we ate at Mojitos around 11ish for lunch. We were the only table seated. They serve your typical cuban food. My fiancé had the white bean soup and I had the vaca frita de pollo with with Rice and sweet plantains. Both really really good. Prices were reasonable and staff was friendly.

i am giving the restaurant two stars because the food was great but the service was soo extremely poor that it brought the whole location down. With service like that I cant believe they are still open. First my husband ordered a appetizer that never came. Then i ordered a steak milanesa and they brought a palomilla so I told the waiter that is not what i ordered and handed him the plate nicely and he turns around and puts my plate back in front of me and tells me well thats what he put in the system you ordered. i was in shock he could have just said Im sorry let me take care of that but instead I had to go back at him after saying well can u fix it and he took the plate pissed off. I have never seen such poor service and considering your the paying customer. they need management change 911! Oh and to make matters worse they charged us the appetizer and were upset they had to remove from bill.

I ate here with a restaurant coupon on a saturday afternoon. The service was terrible. We ate outside. Our waiter was missing in action half the time. We noticed our food sitting outside with flies covering it for more than 10 minutes before we were served the same food! We also were given the incorrect sides. When we sent it back, they brought the same food back with the incorrect side scooped off and same food that flies fed on previously. Don’t ever eat here. Try the Latin Grill instead if you want cheap latin food.

I’ve been to Mojitos my fair share of times but hadn’t visited in a while, despite being in Dolphin on several occasions. A group of girlfriends and I visited this past weekend and I wasn’t impressed. Too crowded for my taste. Non stop salsa music. A bottle of appetizers required to seat in a small table(If you just want drinks then you can stand the whole night and get those at the bar). My last time here(about 2 years ago) was a lot more fun as we had food and drinks while we mingled and danced. Not sure I’ll be returning anytime soon.

If you find yourself hungry at the mall and enjoy Cuban food, this is the place to go. The pechuga de pollo a la plancha is phenomenal. The sweet plantains are awesome too. I got a mango mojito. The host said they have a live band and dancing on weekend nights. The restaurant has beautifully painted walls and décor. Your waiter will prefer to speak Spanish if you can. He spoke in Spanish with my friend the entire time so I didn’t know what was going on, but I’ll make that sacrifice for great food.

I have come here many times and have tried several dishes. The consistency has remained pretty good overall. I like to sit outside because there is never good reception inside. I always seem to order the vaca frita with white rice, black beans. They serve it in a plantain bowl which sits on a slab of fufu de platano. The portion of the rice is rather small but the plate is quite filling either way. The flavor is always good in all the meats I’ve tried, I can safely say it is way better quality than la carreta. Definitely the go to place for good Cuban food.

Great authentic Cuban Food off the turnpike at Dolphin Mall. Ask for Ernesto and Robert for outstanding service. The vaca Frita with pork and chicken is fabulous. A beautiful restaurant compliments the meal. The Moros are fantastic. Prices are great and the portions are enormous.

Where ratings go bad… I’ll keep it short. Waiter #1 had an attitude. Waiter #2 didn’t check on our table at all. The food was great, I was even ok with them not having white rice, but they asked before they substituted black beans and rice. So everything was cool. Except for having to wait because the waiters on duty were also busboys who had to clean and straighten up the outdoor part of the restaurant. And the management must split any transaction that needs to be split. Neither waiter #2 nor the bartender could.

Mojitos is a great spot to grab a drink and some appetizers after an exhausting afternoon of shopping at Dolphin Mall. For drinks, I have tried the Mojitos and Sangria. The Mojitos are pretty tasty here, and you also get to keep the cup! However, though the Sangria is tasty, it gave me a terrible headache last time I had it. It was most likely because of the wine they use. For food, I always settle for the fried goodies. They have a mixed appetizer that includes a little bit of everything, which is pretty good. I have also come during happy hour, and most of the appetizers are $ 5. In my opinion, though it may not be the best, it is definitely one of the better options to grab a drink at Dolphin Mall.

My mom said that my first words were«Vaca Frita!» #truestory Many people hate mall restaurants for two reasons, portions and prices. Either the portions are too small and the prices are too high, or the prices are too high and the portions are too small. So there’s no sense of value in what they’re paying for. With me so far? Good! Now, Mojito’s does something a little different. Their portions are ample and their prices are reasonable. I am doing some Common Core math here(carry the two, add back the seven, round it down three decimal places…), but there’s value in these plates! The big«to-do» here is the Vaca Frita. You read it right in Spanish; here it is in English… Fried Cow.(Translated using ) A staple at many Cuban restaurants in Miami, here it’s been taken to a whole new level. You can say it’s handed to you in a basket… Beef! Beautifully seasoned and cooked with onions, the Vaca Frita is served in a basket made of green plantains on a bed of Mofongo*(more on this in a minute…). It comes with two sides, traditionally one would get white rice and black beans, but you can pick any other. I recommend you also get some Yuca Frita with the Cilantro Aioli. It’s definitely«empingated»!(I’ll ‘splain this word in another review…) *For those of you that don’t know, Mofongo is mashed green plantains with Mojito(Cuban seasoning, if I say any more, they’ll take my Cuban card away.) and Chicharrones(fried pork rinds). You can eat this by itself or as a side dish to anything else. It’s that good! Service was excellent and bilingual. Everyone speaks English, Spanish, a few speak Brazilian Portuguese, and I think one guy spoke German or was it Russian?. Whatever your native tongue, remember these two words… Vaca Frita(Vah-kah Free-tah) and you’ll be just fine! A few tips… *Outside seating can get very noisy, take a breather and eat inside. It’s air conditioned and the Vaca Frita doesn’t have to travel very far to your table. *Tips are automatically added to your bill at 15%. If your server brought you Vaca Frita, add a few more bucks in cash! They’ll appreciate it. *It can get busy. So plan ahead and enjoy your delicious Vaca Frita!

Don’t waste your time here. I don’t know why you would pay their prices for the food. Is it good, yes. Is it a good value, no. You are in Miami, you can find more authentic Cuban for a third of the price. It’s Cuban food in a mall… need more explanation?

You see the picture that I posted… Well the plate stayed like that minus a few bites The smell of the chicken was like it’s been there for months! It smell really bad The taste was HORRIBLE! It wasn’t real chicken! It was a plastic chicken that you buy for your dog to chew! Waiters are fun though because it’s like playing where’s Waldo! They bring your utensil from a black box… The same box that a bus boy use A %15 «service charge» is automatic added even if your food sucked!!!

When you take a Mojito glass home it’s a used, unwashed glass. Tuberculosis? Sure. Why not. Herpes. Ok. It’s only 18 bucks. Hepatitis B? Yeah. It’s Friday. fk it. Mononucleosis? Yeah. I got time.
