At first we sat inside because the terrace outside was full, but the waitress was nice enough to keep us updated when a seat opened outside. Inside was really nicely decorated with great atmosphere and the music was nice, typical Cuban, but the only problem was the music was too loud. I still give it 5 stars because the food was absolutely fresh and excellent, the atmosphere very friendly and warm, service was prompt and attentive and friendly, and the prices were very very reasonable. You can’t beat $ 19 Downtown Miami for a shrimp dinner(fresh, cooked in butter and garlic) with rice and fried plantain. Everything was so fresh and well seasoned. Outside on the terrace we ordered Cuban coffees and enjoyed the Miami night with the Cuban music.

Havana 1957 at Brickell We stopped for lunch after a long night in Miami, so you know what I mean, we weren’t in the best shape. Got some good chicken soup, surprisingly tasty and we both ordered sandwiches. The food was good, service as well. I loved the décor inside, beautiful place and beautiful atmosphere. We will go back to try this place in the evening sometimes. But looks like a good place for a hearty and inexpensive lunch in downtown Miami.

Great Cuban food! The Brickell location has live music which is really fun! I thought it was an enjoyable experience. The service was really fast and friendly. Moderate prices for what you get. The south beach location is much busier, but had outdoor seating which is nice! And, they have the best mojitos I’ve ever had!

We enjoyed the food. The drinks were tasty but seemed light on rum. I’ll definately be back to drink the rum selection.

Nice décor good music, but the staff needs a lot improving to do, refusing to serve water at the bar, because you have to buy a bottle of water, and the added gratuity gives you bad taste after a mediocre service.

Where to start… Hard rice on «arroz con Moros», cold vaca frita or a side of over cooked plantains? I can get better Cuban food from my a local place than this shit hole. They really have no idea how to make good Cuban food. Embarrassing that tourist might actually walk in here expecting authentic food. AVOID this place at all costs. Not to mention their cocktail prices are exuberant for a mediocre mojito. I could recommend a million and one Cuban places prior to this place. Seriously, get a new chef, FAST.

We came here for a birthday party and that’s the reason why we stayed. The food was minus 0 quality. I had the«pechuga de pollo asada» and it was flavorless, cold and with nothing to desire. The rice was crunchy and the veggies were watery. Seriously not a good menu. Sergios does it better for less of a price. The drinks were not AMAZING yet they cost as if they did. They have a live tambor guy, dj and sevillana dancer(yea you read right. A SPANISH dancer in a Cuban place). Eh not truly Cuban.

One of the best Cuban restaurants in the city. Appetizers were on point and my entrée the Pescado Empinazado was delicious. Followed dinner up with a cuban coffee, enough said! If you’re looking for some great cuban food look no further. One more thing I forgot to add they have live music playing which really makes the atmosphere and overall experience that much better. Repeat customer here! Check it out :)

I can only give this place 3 stars. Ambiance is like 10 stars. Food is just ok. Prices for Cuban food in Miami are just way to high. Maybe it’s because I’m from Miami and not a tourist but I just feel taken advantage of every time I come here. If you’re from out of town then this is probably the best Cuban you can get in Brickell.

Let me elaborate on my «worst service ever» check in at this place. I came here for lunch with my mother on a Wednesday afternoon, at 1pm to be exact. I had never been to this location but I am a fan of the one in Lincoln road, where the food is always delicious, the mojitos are perfection, and the service is great. I was expecting the same from the Brickell location but was very disappointed with the food and ESPECIALLY the service. To our surprise the restaurant was not as packed as we expected so we walked in and after no one greeted us we found a waitress and let her know we were sitting outside, she replied saying«she would be right with us». 20 minutes went by and NOTHING! We thought she forgot about us so we walked inside, found her again, and she replied she would come right out. It took her another 10 minutes to finally ask us what we wanted to drink. We had now waited 30 minutes to basically be greeted! We placed our orders at once and that was the last time we saw her until we had to get up again to go find her and ask her for our check. The food was ok. Too bad we couldn’t try the rest of the stuff we wanted to order since we were basically ignored the entire time we were there.

As a visitor in Miami, Cuban food was a given. We somehow ended up here. Outdoor seating at night is lovely. Candles on each table set the mood. Inside looked nice as well the décor made me feel like I was in Cuba. I got the chicken special, seemed the wiser choice for the price. Bang for your buck! I was a little disappointed. The chicken seemed a little burnt as did the plantains. I love plantains but these just seemed over cooked. You can see by the picture. I also tried the Cuban coffee, bad idea at 9pm. Kept me up till 3 am. Ha! Had to try it though, no regrets!

Juan Manuel was very attentive and service was excellent. Very friendly staff and excellent food. My steak was cooked medium rare which is the best way to eat it. Home made beans like my mommy used to make them too! Delicious food! I even bought a key chain here n charged my phone @ the bar with a portable charger provided free of charge!

The first time I came here was for a live music event and I thought it was great. I’ve been here twice since and it’s still an awesome restaurant and venue. The service is great, I love the«Cuban» ambiance, lots of cool Cuban relics and even the traditional Caridad del Cobre statue. I went on a Friday night for dinner and since it was before 9 we were able to have $ 5 mango mojitos as part of the happy hour special! I also also ordered the chicken vaca frita which was served with Moros and boiled yuca. Everything was delicious! Maybe the only downfall was that the yuca wasn’t served with the garlic dressing. Still great though! All the cocktails at the table were great and I especially enjoyed my mango mojito. The music here is also great! Really feels like Cuban nostalgia. It’s also in a spot of Brickell where you have a much higher likelihood of finding a parking spot! Will definitely be back! Especially for happy hour!

Décor was very lovely. A lot of old Cuban memorabilia which was great. Went on a Sunday and there was a live band playing which was nice. There were baskets of mariquitas on the table as a starter which was nice. Service was great! Manager did come to the table a couple of times to check in on us. The food unfortunately was nothing out of this world. Lacking a little bit of flavor. The drinks are ridiculously pricey! But did enjoy a evaporated milk cortadito! Don’t think I will be going back any time soon though.

Great Cuban spot in Brickell. If your into live music as I am this place has it. Staff was very attentive and pleasant. 5 stars to our server Maylin(I think that’s how it’s spelt) and the Mickey(Manager) for the complimentary Frangelico — Perfecto!

If you are A Cuban born like me, you know how to describe ourselves. We are passionate creatures, we are proud and we are nostalgic by nature, as we cannot contain our emotions and expressions. We talk with our hands because our bodies express those things our mouths won’t tell you. El guaguanco lives in our soul. We smell like tobacco and rum. We are sweet because, we all have sugarcane in our blood. This place is a piece of the Cuba kept in the inner corners of our hearts. Our hearts, that with congas and bongos set random beats busting inside our chest. I came today with two good old friends. To my surprise there was live music from Tomasito Cruz and his live jazz quintet. Mojitos keep coming and going and I’m writing this now in my chair. Hopefully this tostones will give me enough energy to make a 1.2. step. The vibe here is great and even though I haven’t eaten much the food coming out looks and smells like abuelita’s. What a great ambiance. Plenty of seating and room and even a small dance floor to strut your moves. Drinks here a very nice, mojitos are strong. What a nice little place to catch up with Bacardi rum.

I’d give them a 3.5. Upon arriving, we were greeted by a blonde waitress who asked us for a reservation. We didn’t have one and as we wanted to grab a bite for lunch and she gave us an, «Oh crap,» look. She said the only available space they had were the high top tables which were fine. The hostess however needs some guidance on how to dress for her position. She was wearing an extremely short cream colored bandage dress that was one centimeter away from showing us a full view of her backside. When we sat down got complimentary plantain chips that were fresh and warm. The food we ordered was pretty good. My cousin got the Havana 1957 Specialty with the roasted chicken in gravy, rice, black beans, and salad. To me, the gravy seemed more like the drippings in the bottom of the pan mainly comprised of salt and chicken fat, not something with a depth of flavor to compliment and moisten the chicken. My cousin felt that chicken was fall off the bone delicious, however my Uncle felt it was a little old and reheated. I got the Croqueta Preparada which was ok. I knew it came with ham and pork, but since the name is «croqueta» I expected more croquetas. There was one croqueta, cut in half for each half of the sandwich and and lot of pork and ham and the roasted pork flavor didn’t really compliment the saltines of the ham. It wasn’t bad, but I think it should have less pork and ham and more croqueta, like a lot more. There was probably an inch of meat and one measly croqueta mushed at the top. I was just expecting more croqueta flavor and it just wasn’t there. I was basically given a ham and pork sandwich. It even says on the menu, «If you are craving for croquettes and a sandwich, try this one!» I’m telling you, I wanted some croquetas, but all I got was ham and pork. The service was good. The waiter was polite, but at the end another person took over and rang up our bill for us. Not sure if that’s how things work here, but the first waiter did the majority of the service for us and I’m not sure who received the tip. The atmosphere was quintessentially Cuban and the live band was an added bonus. Just a heads up to anyone who loves mojitos, the $ 5 mojitos are invalid on holidays. My cousin got two and was charged twice as much because it was Mother’s Day.

I’ve read the reviews, been here twice now once to eat and another time to watch a Cuban band play. The music was great though crowded beyond what I think regulations would allow I think . The food was very good, I will be coming back recommend you try it

Come here for a quick bite to eat. Didn’t have much time so needed quick food. They delivered… in fact, they have a guarantee on their menu their food will be delivered to you in 10 mins or less — on certain dishes. Wanted authentic Cuban food but was a little let down to learn this was a chain. Can’t really expect much though given the location was in Brickell. Wait staff was very friendly. Manager was also very accommodating, offering to charge an iPhone. We sat outside which was great, however, lots of construction in the area so it was fairly noisy in the middle of the work day. The inside was quite dark, however, would have been good for dinners. Free wifi at the restaurant as well.
