From the Cubano for breakfast to the eggs, sausage, pancakes and amazing french toast — best breakfast since we left the great State of Texas!

Very nice portion size. The food was tasty. It is not a fancy restaurant. It is definitely where the locals go. This tells me it is the place to go

My boyfriend and I visited Miami a couple weeks ago, and wow. I forgot how amazing Cuban food was until I came here. The first night we got to Miami we wanted to eat Cuban food, and they happened to fix our cravings right before closing. I was super sad I couldn’t get a Cuban sandwich before closing :(but their Milanesa steak was SOBOMB, and their sweet plantains… HOLYCOW I WASINLOVE. My boyfriend loved it so much he finished his and ate some of of mine when I was looking. -.- Their fried plantains were pretty great too! And their white rice, I don’t know WHATITIS but their white rice tasted sooooooo good like it was cooked with butter or something. I miss it. :( HIGHLYRECOMMEND this place, whether you’re visiting or a local. FIVESTARSFORSURE.

My wife, daughter and I walked about 15 minutes to the Latin Café from the Four Points Sheraton to enjoy an early dinner on a Saturday night. Get here before their 6pm closing time to avoid disappointment. Plenty of free tables and booths when we arrived. We were warmly welcomed and promptly shown to a booth. Service throughout the meal was great. I ordered the hangar steak, brown rice and plantains while my wife got the Cuban sandwich. The steak ended up being huge and overflowed the sides of the plate. It was quite tasty and juicy and not your typical chewy hangar steak. The brown rice was served as a geometric shape like it came right out of a cup. Regardless it was delicious as well along with the plantains. My wife was less impressed with her sandwich but still enjoyed it. While eating, we noticed numerous local restaurant workers coming in and ordering a cup of coffee from their super fancy machine. We were so intrigued that my wife had to come back for breakfast to enjoy a cup herself the next day. She was not disappointed.

This is a great café with good food. Solid café con leche, Solid breakfast items and really good sandwiches. Hubs and I went there three times during our week stay in Miami. Not to mention the place is bumping with locals. ITs a local joint, not upscale but great value for good food. The staff were sweet and not taken aback by tourists. I loved it. I kept forgetting I was still in the US because I felt I was in PR or Cuba. Totally awesome Latin vibe with great people! GO get some solid eats with good value. Provecho!

Latin Café is one of the best values on Miami Beach. However, it is on 41st street and is a trek from South Beach. My hotel was close to it so it was easy for me to walk over. The skirt steak is huge and I could not finish it. More importantly, it is tender and full of flavor. The rice and beans are also excellent. In addition, I highly recommend ordering the papaya shake. It is great. The only thing I did not like were the plantains. I had a great experience here but I would not necessarily make the trip up to the café if I were staying on South Beach because there are so many food options there. My favorite types of places on Miami Beach are the ones that are less focused on trendiness and image, and more focused on awesome food. And this place accomplishes that perfectly, and does it at a super reasonable price point. No frills or atmosphere, really, but you can tell that the locals are all about it, and come back because they do their job well. The Cuban sandwiches at this place are on point, as well as their café con leches. The croquettes are awesome as well. I haven’t ventured much further than that, menu wise, but I’ve been back several times. They’re super fast, so you can get it to go, or have a bite to eat at their counter. Muy authentico Miami awesomeness.

Delicious lunch spot and definitely a spot for locals! We shared the skirt steak which is tasty and well seasoned but a little chewy. The maduros were soo good. We also got the creole shrimp which was fresh and you could taste the sweetness of the shrimp. Highly recommend the strawberry shake — great option since they didn’t have the papaya or mango milkshake which we had wanted instead. The café con leche is a bit on the sweet side but good. Our waitress was super sweet and helpful.

I actually want to give half star. Three of us came for breakfast, we ordered different things, like omelette and French toast. Well, they severed exactly the same thing to us. and the waitress insist on that’s what we ordered. No apologize at all. The flavor is also bad… NEVEREVERGOFORBREAKFASTATTHISPLACE!!!

Pretty much my go to spot in Miami — there is a reason theyre crowded with a large wait staff! I would recommend the cubano, steak sandwich, tostones, fries, lentil soup, fresh squeezed OJ(zumo machines like the ones across Spain) — AND as much café con leche. I got all of the above for $ 40, including tip ;)

Excellent breakfast in a friendly setting. Ask for a Cafecito con Leche Condensada. The Pan con Lechon is decent as well as a nation de Mamey. Great prices and excellent quality.

Stopped by for lunch. Service was casual but attentive. I was recommended the skirt steak, which comes in two different sizes, so I tried the smaller portion. As sides, fried plantains and mixed beans and rice. Delicious! The steak came with a yummy green herby oil sauce — chimichurri, I think. I also had the papaya shake, since it was recommended by so many reviewers, but was kind of underwhelmed by it. It had a fresh but too-subtle flavor for my liking. My boyfriend had a Cuban sandwich, which was good and generously-sized, as well as a malted milk shake. Weird drink, but oddly good? It tasted like saltine crackers turned into a milkshake, if that makes any sense. We also shared beef empanadas, which were good. The establishment was nothing fancy, but the food was quite good and seemed authentic. Our server had no problem speaking English.

The lowdown: authentic Cuban food at cheap prices, considering it’s Miami Beach. The location: It sits right on 41st, which was a convenient 10 minute walk from our hotel as we crossed Indian Creek. It’s very hole-in-the-wall, resembling more of a cafeteria/diner — like a place where locals would eat. We came in for a late dinner, so it wasn’t packed at all. The food: I got the #1, the churrasco(skirt steak), which encompassed the whole length of my plate. I’m not even a big steak fan, but I had to try. Highly recommend. The portions are huge! It comes with 2 sides, so I chose the black rice and plantains. Our waitress suggested the #3 to the BF which was the pepper chicken. It was aptly seasoned, but not spicy. He enjoyed it. We also ordered a couple of beef empanadas as our appetizer since we were starving. I had a sip of his strawberry banana shake and it tasted so fresh! I was curious about their coffee, so of course I had to go with the café con leche — favorite! When in Miami, coffee veers more on the sweeter side. This place is worth trying if you’re not a snooty, high-maintence type. Definitely not fancy, but great Cuban food portions at an affordable price.

Snapshot: 4⁄5 Quality, 5⁄5 Portion, 3.5÷5 Service and Atmosphere. If you are looking for authentic Cuban food and hefty portions go. The #2 comes with rice, black beans and fried plantains which are amazing. The chicken is seared and spiced to perfection. The Mango shake was ok. Everything was $ 13.89 before tip and that’s inexpensive anywhere in the world.

Could a $ 45 lunch top a $ 2000 dinner? YES! — — — — — — — – My friends and I have never been to Havana, but we imagine that Miami would like little Havana. So, of course we needed to try Cuban cuisine. Unilocal, don’t fail me now! As soon as we sat down, we immediately knew this was the spot — a ton of locals, including firefighters, were eating here. And we just missed the 12:30 lunchtime crush. Score! We ordered three empanadas, fries for the table, and three different dishes. The mouthwatering pork chops were perfectly seasoned with salt and deliciousness. The steak stir fry was pretty good, almost reminded me of fajitas. But the best part? My skirt steak combo(of course). Juicy, savory skirt steak, served with a side of parsley and garlic-infused oil, as well as plantains and seasoned rice and beans. Each bite was a burst of umami, rivaling some(much more) expensive Latin restos I’ve been to. Oh, and the beef empanada was. The. BOMB. get this! When in Rome, do as the Romans do — and check out Latin Café!

Loved the roasted chicken dish with rice, fried yucca, mango shake and the cortadito. I wish I would’ve skipped the Cuban sandwich and had something a bit more authentic, but maybe next time. This restaurant may not be the nicest, but it’s where many locals visit. It did the trick to fill me up, prices were fair and service was nice.

This spot is really good, fast, inexpensive and the most authentic Cuban food in Miami. I ordered the Cuban Sandwich which was amazing, made with the real Cuban bread, hot & toasty. Their Café con Leche is must try, super strong, yet sweet and flavorful. The place itself looks like a classic diner, and you can see that many locals eat here which lets you know that you came to the write place to get your Cuban grub on. The have many dishes to choose from, from Breakfast-Dinner. I’m definitely coming back here, as often as possible. Make sure to order the café con Leche!
