My wife and I had breakfast here on a recent trip to Florida. It was close to our hotel so we decided to try it since our first choice, the tasty beach café, was closed on Saturday morning. This is a bakery but they also serve sandwiches and breakfast. My wife loves breakfast so she had the French toast. She said it was good not great. The butter was frozen In small packets so not easy to get on the toast which detracted somewhat for her since she love butter. :) She also had coffee, she said it was good not great. I can take or leave breakfast so I had a Cuban panini. I liked it. It could have been warmer in the middle, but overall had good flavor. The service was good. It was slow on sat morning. This is a predominately Jewish area so this is their sabbath and most were at temple which meant an empty place for us. :) Over all I would rate this is 5⁄5 for service. My wife says she would give the food a 3.5÷5. I would rate the food 4⁄5. We round up.

There is nothing French about this place :(. Stale croissants and incredibly rude service. The coffee was good. Tables were filthy and staff was hard pressed to acknowledge customers existence. Would never come back.

It was well prepared looked nice super good except for one thing one very bad thing no lock one seat bathrooms omg they were terrible I had to have a pedestrian wait for me and block anyone from coming in. Although they do give you bread and butter during breakfast. But the bathrooms

The croissants and pastries here are very good — buttery, flaky, just as a good croissant should be. Good enough to eat by itself with no butter or marmalade required. The cinnamon rolls were top notch also. I’d give it four stars except for when I went in on my second day in Miami Beach, they were out of croissants at 9:30 in the morning. What kind of French bakery runs out of croissants in the middle of the morning? Felt a bit like McDonald’s running out of hamburgers.

Quinoa Salad so fresh so amazing it didn’t need dressing. Not that I hardly use it to begin with but it was so rich with flavor. I loved that it was a TON of veggies mixed with quinoa and not the other way around. It was like $ 12!!! Unbeatable.

Great breakfast! Salmon Benedict and blueberry pancakes were unbelievably good. They have a wide variety of pastries, bread and other breakfast choices.

Disappointed. I used to come here often, the eggs Benedict were spectacular. So, being in the area after several years I ordered them. What a disappointment. Hollandaise Sauce was tasteless, one egg had no yolk and instead of an English muffin they put it on untoasted white bread. Disgusting and Horrible. Thankfully, the coffee is still good. When I asked about all if this I got a blank stare and no response. Not coming back. What a let down :(

Nice little French café. Came here to just relax for a mid morning bite. Got a latte and crescent, both were good. The cashier came outside to check on the customers outside to see if they’d like water or anything as well. Nice little spot

We stopped at this café twice on our Miami vacation. The pastries are amazing and make you want to try all in the display case. The ham and cheese quiche was delicious and filling! The server gave us extra pastries when we ordered one la petit four and they were perfectly savory, but not too sweet. Prices are very reasonable as well! Definitely stop in for a treat or breakfast at this perfect little café.

What a yummy little bakery in the heart of SOBE. Not your average breakfast spot, but a nice welcome change from the Hotel breakfasts we have been eating. Nice crusty baguettes, and lovely cheese and meats. I would return!

Working down in Miami for two days led to me eating breakfast here two days in a row, and I definitely wasn’t disappointed. I’m actually quite surprised by the 3 star average as I can’t find anything wrong with La Provence. Both days I opted for breakfast items — the breakfast wrap with scrambled eggs, brie and tomato(delicious) and the breakfast croissant sandwich with eggs, ham and cheese(which was the biggest croissant I’ve ever seen!). Both dishes came with a side salad which yes, is a little strange to American taste buds, but this must be how breakfast is traditionally served in France? Weird yes, but still tasty as I love my salad! The second day I was down there was the great Florida Winter of 2015, so I went with a hot tea and was pleased to find real milk options instead of just those little creamer packets. You should know that you order at the counter and then are given a number to put on your table. They bring the food out to you and clear your plates at the end :) The displays of cakes and pastries look enticing, yet I couldn’t warrant putting them on my expense report, so perhaps another time. If I’m down in Miami for work again, or in the neighborhood, I’d happily stop by for another breakfast meal, or even lunch, as those sandwiches look delicious!

Cute little French bakery with great selection of breakfast items. I ordered a fresh orange juice and the breakfast wrap. The wrap was good but could use a little more seasoning or flavor. The egg was a bit dry and the brie was sparce. The side salad barely had any dressing but the portion was pretty good and the service was relatively fast. If I go back I’d probably opt for a pastry.

Amazing pastries and the yogurt was fantastic. Espresso tasted strong and European. We didn’t try the sandwiches but they had a proscuitto and manchego that I’d love to go back for!

All I have to say is NOTFRESH, and the people working here are obviously not happy to be here. The cakes in display looked as if they had been there for weeks! They were out of many sandwiches and the overall appearance of the place looked dirty and unkempt.

My husband and I came here for breakfast… I had the croissant breakfast sandwich with bacon, it was INSANELY large… A bit salty but okay. The croissant was perfect and flaky the side salad was lightly dressed and pleasant. My husband had the breakfast wrap which had Brie cheese… A nice divergence from traditional breakfast sandwich cheeses. The real home run of the morning was the fresh squeezed orange juice — it was AMAZING! For a pop of deliciousness my husband grabbed a petite fruit tartlet which was perfect and at $ 1.25 a no brainer. Overall this was a good place to grab breakfast but nothing that I would tell someone that they must try when visiting.

Lovely bakery. Great atmosphere and awesome presentation of food. Got the salmon, cream cheese, onions, spinach, dill on sourdough bread and it was delicious. The pastries looked amazing as well. My friend got an omelette with bread n a side salad that comes with it n loved it as well. The freshly squeezed orange juice was not too sweet or tangy, but just right. They serve breakfast even after 12PM, in case you are a late eater or just want breakfast food for lunch. It is a bit pricey thou, but def worth it.

On occasion I travel down to Miami for work and when I do we always come here for brunch. Even on a weekday at ten am they are busy so that tells you it must be good. I have ordered a few different things here. The best menu items are probably the croissant sandwiches whether it be a breakfast sandwich with ham, egg and cheese, or turkey on a croissant for lunch. This past visit I tried the breakfast wrap and also found it quite good. It was huge stuffed with egg, brie cheese, and fresh tomatoes. Half would be more than enough for most so it would be easily shareable. Many of the sandwiches here come with a side salad. Even the breakfast sandwiches. Perhaps this is a European thing that I am not sophisticated enough to understand because I always feel a little weird eating salad with my eggs, but their side salads a great. The mixed greens are always fresh and crisp with delicious tomatoes and the light vinaigrette dressing is perfect. I can’t write a review of La Provence without mentioning the pastries. Despite the fact that we are here before noon a chocolate croissant always seems to end up on the table, and they are delicious. Prices here are reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes and the staff here always takes good care of our group as they remember us from our repeat visits. If you are deciding on a breakfast spot compared to the Dunkin Donuts down the street it’s no contest, definitely come here for a croissant and get a pastry for later.

Yummy yummy in my tummy! I used to always come here to the location on 41st because my doctor’s office was very close and so when my girlfriend asked where we could grab a quick lunch(salad and/or sandwich), La provence popped into my head. Don’t ask why the heck we went all the way to 41st street when there is one literally ONE block away from my apartment that I haven’t tried out yet but hey, we did it. Strolled up and ordered what I always used to get(chicken sandwich on a panini with roasted red peppers) mmmmmm… the bread is extremely fresh and somehow the chicken tastes like it does not have 5 billion hormones in it, tasty. My girlfriends salad was also delish and we have no complains about the experience. I will have to try the one across from my apartment now… finally.
