Sadly this place has closed, broke my heart. I really loved this place. Hopefully it becomes something as good or better than this.

I’ve been here twice, and ended up pretty satisfied both times. It’s a pretty average Chinese buffet, with a couple of exceptions. They do have some«American» food — I did sample the sausage, and the meat pie, both of which were pretty delicious. The sushi wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great, either, and as Kathy N. pointed out, there aren’t labels for all of them. The hibachi is okay, as well — not perfect, but okay. I’ve never had a problem with the freshness of anything, and they restock items at reasonable times. I’ve had good service both times as well, with waitstaff taking plates and refilling drinks with regularity.

Checked this place out since it’s fairly new. It was okay. It was like most other Chinese buffets with the usual. I was more curious about the sushi bar. They had a variety, but it didn’t seem too fresh. They weren’t all labeled either, so I had to try«mysterious» ones. All in all, it was okay but probably won’t be back again.

Oh how I dig a good buffet, and even more so, an Asian(Chinese and Japanese) buffet. So of course I had to see what they did with the old«Ryan’s» place. I went around lunch time, and it looked, like most buffets, pretty vacant, so I hoped for the best. Staff: I don’t expect to see that many people working the lunch shift at the buffet, so I can’t say for sure how the staff is, but the hostess was sweet, helpful and just all-around great. So if she’s the front-woman for the staff, I will consider them all awesome and continue from there. *lol* Food: I got take out, as I usually do, because I generally eat alone, and headed over to the buffet tables. They do the weighing at the end, like a few other buffets I’ve been to, which is smart, I like that. They have their food laid out pretty much like the other buffets in town too, so not much is different there, but I will say theirs is a lot cleaner seeming, maybe more spread out? Fresher maybe. It was hard to put my finger on it, but it was also lunch, it might be different once dinner rush hits. The food itself isn’t all that different from the other buffets in town. It has the staples — a handful of chicken, fish, and«American» staples(to appease picky, naughty children), a sushi bar, a sweets bar, a hibachi side area and a salad bar. It’s your typical Asian buffet. A Note to Buffets: Please, separate your meats. Put your chicken all together and your fish product all together. It would help with cross contamination — which can affect those of us with food allergies. I know I’ve had to avoid some of my favorite dishes because there was a possibility that shellfish could have gotten mixed in with it accidently. *pout* Aesthetics: I remember what Ryan’s used to look like. It was dark, very crowded, and loud. It’s really amazing what a little paint, floor tiles and Asian-style interior design can do to brighten things up. It looks really nice, and you don’t feel like you’re going to run into someone’s table every couple of feet. Given that, it does feel smaller then the old Ryan’s, like they used the old room blockers. I was too interested in what they were serving to notice, but they might open the place up more during dinner, so it’s hard to say. It really does look better then it did back in the Ryan days, so grade-A work redecorator! So, overall, it’s a nice place. No, it didn’t blow my skirt up, as prior to it opening, we have at least three others buffets just like it, but I can see they’re trying and they’re good folk. If it’s the closest one to your abode, do head over and give it a try. Maybe it’ll surprise us and give us some unique Asian cuisine I know we’re all hoping for.

When I moved into the neighborhood 6 years ago, this location was a horrible, rundown, dark restaurant. This NEW place, is a welcome change. Bright, clean, modern, friendly staff, a mile from my house and great food. Since this is a new restaurant, I expected nothing but the best and they delivered. Let’s hope they keep up the good work.
