Jade Dragon has some really tasty Chinese food. It’s not the healthy, feel-good-about-yourself stuff, but it’s the delicious I-can’t-stop-eating-but-probably-wouldn’t-even-if-I-could kind of cuisine. Big, golden fried chicken fingers, sweet and smoky spare ribs with that delectable little char on the outside, plump and sweet beef teriyaki, humongous, creamy crab Rangoon, buttery lo mein, and crispy, sweet orange chicken. And, their general gao/chao/tso chicken is worth ordering too. Go! Eat!

I have been here more than several times, let’s say. The Jade Dragon serves a traditional American Chinese menu with some newer items mixed in. We have always been more than satisfied with the food, beverages, and service over the years. No place you frequent is 100 percent 100 percent of the time, but the Jade does better than most. They have always served a great Mai Tai and other asst drinks. They even have a nice assortment of Mai Tai flavors available. Make sure you try more than the traditional pupu platter and you might find the things like the spicy chicken, spicy shrimp, Singapore rice noodles or chow foon could win you over. Oh, spicy green beans are great also. They still serve bone in spare ribs that are tasty also. They are economical, tasty, and attentive. A must try for you to find a place you can visit again and again.

I enjoy the strong mai tai and good appetizers. I have not tried any of their plates. Service is friendly and attentive.

The Jade has become a Merrimack institution over the years. If you’re from the area, you’re bound to run into some one you know. If you’re looking for some Americanized Chinese food, you’ll be stoked. And if you’re looking for karaōke and dancing… I believe you should seek counseling. ;), but they offer this as well. Grab a seat. Hang out with some of the bar staff or meet some of the locals. It’s an experience no matter what. Mention J. Matt D. to Randy the bartender and he’ll provide you with invaluable beard care advice. Just don’t listen to him if he starts going on about the Steelers.(No place is perfect.)

Twice I’ve ordered a combo dinner plate there, and twice they have given me the incorrect order.

I work in the same exact plaza as they are located in and I order from them pretty much 4 – 5 times a week. They never charge me the same amount. Some days it is $ 8.00 for a combo then some days it’s $ 10 for the same order. Even if ordered at the same time, I ordered today and lo and behold they charged me a $ 4 delivery fee to go across the parking lot… Seriously??? Then too me I HAD to tip. I use to serve and will tip deliveries but when I was told I had to tip I refused to. They are always rude when I order over the phone. They never have someone to deliver food and while the food is good I think I am done with them. Go elsewhere and steer clear! Again great food but awful customer service. I would recommend happy garden in Manchester off 9n if you’re looking for great service and good food.

Took my Dad there for lunch… I used to live in Merrimack and we frequented the Jade Dragon. It was always«acceptable» but today’s visit deserves 5 stars. The waiter was great, although the woman at the check out desk could certainly have been friendlier. We got a Pu Pu platter and vegetable Chop Suey. Everything on the platter was WONDERFUL, except the chicken wings were a tad overdone. The chop suey was terrific… we wolfed it down. Even our drinks were good and reasonably priced. My father is going to recommend it to his Nursing Home so they will be returning as a large group. All in all a most pleasurable experience, and everytime I visit my Dad we intend to return!

Just ok food. But open late, which is nice. The Hunan Chicken is tasty, if you like spicy food. There are better choices for good Chinese in the area. But, Jade Dragon is mostly known for their bar-life and karaōke.

We like Jade Dragon in Merrimack. The food is usually good and a decent value for the price. Once they gave us the wrong order and when I called they were glad to replace it with what we had originally ordered and asked us to try something new and enjoy the first order. We travel 25 minute one way just to buy their food, its well worth the trip! One word of advise, don’t order during the middle of the week. When they are slow the food is aweful!

Seriously, this place is awful. My wife and I ended up here on Thanksgiving(long story) and the wait for everything was ridiculous. They wouldn’t even acknowledge our existence, like they hoped we’d go away. After waiting FOREVER for our food, and even longer for our drinks, the food was served stone cold. The food had potential, but was just too cold to enjoy. We brought it to the attention of our server, who brought it back to the kitchen to be reheated. Most of it came back warm, but the spare ribs were still room temperature. Just disappointing all around…

Stopped in to get some take-out after a long flight back to Manchester. I just ordered some house special fried rice to go at the bar & had a beer while it was being prepared. Typical scene at the bar… regulars wary of the new guy who just walked in… but I’m fine with that… it’s the same all over and it’s not meant to discredit this place as the regulars were having a good time and harmless. The beer was ICE cold and the rice was still steaming hot by the time I got home(30 minutes later). Very good rice… will be back again to explore the menu a little more.

Great quality food. Beef Teryiaki, Crab Rangoons, Chicken Fingers and Pork Fried Rice are Fantastic. I have not tried anything else. The quality reminds me of Kowloon in Saugus, Mass Good Stuff! better than some other places in Merrimack which i cannot stand east China cough cough, the food there is small and sketchy

Best Mai tai ever to be had in here! Lets be honest it’s pretty divey in here but it’s the best kind of divey. The food is typical takeaway fair but if you choose to eat in it always comes out quickly and you get to experience the bar area with all of the interesting shall we say characters in here. I wouldn’t want to hang out here as a single female but come in with friends or your partner and soak up some great Mai tai’s average food and great people watching.

This place has actually improved, but still isn’t great. If your out having drinks at the bar can order something but nothing I would order for take out or intentionally for dinner.

I’ve gotten take out from here many a time and it’s always been good. I actually went in and sat down for lunch today. I had one of the combo platters consisting of chicken chow main, pork fried rice and beef teriyaki. Rice was good but kind of dry, chow main was too soupy beef teriyaki was really good. Also had spicy buffalo wings, they were good not really that spicy. Overall, I’d say this place is a lot better than your average cheap chinese restaurant but not amazing either. I’ve never been for the night scene, but I’ve heard it’s the place to be.

Ok, just got back from the Jade. Went in, ordered, waited in VERYCOLD waiting room. Guy at the desk said 15 min wait. After 30 mins and four other waiting people(got their food before me, came in after me), I went to the desk to ask what was up. The guy was writing, didn’t look at me and said«I have no idea», and kept writing. I said«well can you find out?». He went out back and came out with some more bags for other customers. Then I asked to see a manager. He told me the manager was busy. Come to find out he was the cook as well. After waiting another 10 mins. I asked what happened once again. The desk guy said«oh, sometimes the order from the desk doesn’t get sent out back. This guy really did not care. No, explanation or apology. His customer service was the worst I have ever encountered. Finally when the manager came out, running with my bags I spoke with him about the jerk at the desk. He apologized for him. So, in conclusion, I was comforted by the way the manager handled the situation. He did it the correct way. I understand there are problems that can happen. I just wanted to be respected by the desk guy. BTW…I work at two food establishments in the area. I would never, ever treat my customers the way he did.

Okay, I didn’t eat here but had plenty of drinks. Not a big fan of Asian cuisine anyway. Very very nice people… Fun karaōke… the drinks are strong. I actually had to ask for more red bull so I didn’t have to get soused on the third sip. Smells a tad jiffy johnish… but all in all had a blast and left feeling like a prickly pear.

Well, apparently I’m on a flurry of reviewing Chinese restaurants in Merrimack… I’m on an egg roll so I’ll continue.(see what I did there? I typed EGG in front of roll as if a play on words!!! God, I am witty). Jade Dragon… the Jadey Dragon. The good ol’ Jadey Dragony. Ol’ J Dragon. AKA, J Dizzle Drag izzle in M-town. Typical greasy-ass Chinese food with a bar in the back. You can get a full meal at 1AM, strong drinks, play those weird video game things that sit on a bar. I did get a baby cockroach in my drink last time I was there(I didn’t ask for it… it just was in there)…and they replaced my drink but NOT the glass… until I asked him to get me a whole new glass. 2STARS

Known to the locals as simply, «The Jade». Most of The Jades business comes after 10PM on Friday and Saturday evenings since they are open until 1AM. This is the place to go after the other spots in town close for the night. There is a restaurant, and a bar section. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights there is karaōke in the bar. They draw a descent size crowd there. The food is OK, nothing great, but not too bad either. It’s standard Chinese fare. Food is also served in the bar. The drinks are cheap and pretty strong. Chances are they’ll have whatever game that is in season game on the several televisions. They usually have the sound turned off though. If you’re going to the bar and smoke bothers you, don’t even bother.
