Got a order from Galata, relatively easy and straightforward to use. We got the chicken shish wrap and the lamb shish plate. Both were well-seasoned, tender, and not dry. They came with plenty of rich yogurt and cucumber sauce. Would definitely come back again!

We liked everything we ordered… Gyro platter, chicken kabob over the Greek Salad, the cold platter(yum!) and the oh-so-good baklava!

Really love their food but was disappointed to see that their rice pudding came with mold today. :(

Very ordinary food with no middle eastern flavors whatsoever. Very disappointing and full of garlic. Had to leave most of it.

The one star is for the garlic fries. The only thing that was good out of our meal. We got the Coban Kavurma(lamb with vegetables) and the Ali Nazik(mixed lamb and beef with eggplant). Both dishes were a major disappointment. The flavor was way off; the meat tasted bland and had a bad smell. We didn’t try any chicken dishes and won’t be coming back to try any unfortunately.

Came in for lunch, table for three, and ordered a beet salad with chicken kabob and falafel on the side. They start off return bread and plenty of water. The bread and oil dip was tasty. I love bread, so I could have just eaten that. Service was quick and I enjoyed my meal. The chicken tasted great and the seasoning made it special. The falafel had a great crunchy exterior and soft interior. I give it give give it stars because there was enough food for leftovers. All of us were stuffed and I enjoyed it again the next day!

Reasonable prices, nice ambience, and good service. The food was tasty, but not the best Mediterranean food I’ve ever had and the side salad was quite bland(either fries or upgrading to a Greek salad may have been a better choice). They offer complimentary warm focaccia bread when you are seated, which was delicious! Downside: there was a spider crawling on the water glass.

Food really not worth the time and money. Nothing special. Overfried, not authentic tastes, greasy sauces. Not very good service as well. We tried to get some water after we paid the bill, no one bothered.

Great experience! We worked with Galata Bistro via a 3rd party vendor for catering at my company. Perfect portions, delicious taste and quality. From a catering perspective, very clean and professional. I loved my Honey Crispy Chicken Salad, fresh and delicious dressing. Even with catering, my crispy chicken was still very fresh and crispy! They did a great job, and we’ll definitely use them again the future!

Very good! Good for family, even have menu options for 4 people, fun to share! It is good to take to go as well. We had lots of meats and most were moist and flavorful! One was dry, but ok. Can’t wait to eat here again. … Ate here again! This time in the restaurant and it was even better! Great staff I had roasted eggplant with beef and lamb, rice and salad, it was perfect!

We’ve been there on a Friday evening with another couple. Even though I’m working in Menlo Park less than five minutes from this place I never noticed it. The place was almost full which is a good sign for a Friday night in Menlo park ;-). The staff was friendly, but a bit confused at times. The food was very good. Our two friends are vegetarians and didn’t struggle at all to find something on the menu. There was some confusion with the request of my girlfriend to pack the rest of her food. So hey ended up making another portion of her falafel which we appreciated very much. We will go there again.

Delicious and authentic Turkish cousin with a very nice ambiance. Strongly recommend their cold and hot samplers. Kebabs are great. It would be great if they also serve Mediterranean style fish :-)

I used to be a hater of all things Mediterranean food. This place opened my mind a bit :) Here are the things I’ve had that are AMAZING! — greek salad with grilled salmon — greek salad with lamb/beef gyro meat — hummus — bread and dipping oil — gyro wrap I just wish that the gyro meat would hold up one day in the fridge so I can FINALLY enjoy the left overs! It’s ok though, I still love it.

Visited Galata Yesterday after a local business I frequent recommended them. Good diverse menu including appetizers, salads and entrée’s. Mediterranean/greek Impecable service by host and waiter. Treated with respect and Small bar with diverse beers that I would of tried if it wasn’t so early. I ordered Greek salad with lamb kabobs Excellent taste! Falafels appetizer with tahini Eggplant with roasted bell peppers and garlic with pita bread. Coffee My only complaint would be that I expected large thick chunks of lamb on kabob with peppers and onions/Vegetables between meat on a metal skewer and what came was very small portions of lamb on thin wood skewer. I would call it small lamb skewer stick not a lamb kebob. However the lamb tasted phenomenal and was cooked well done. The falafels were a little over cooked on the outside but gave a great crunch when mixed in with the salad I ordered. Pita Bread was thin and dry. They could use a pita makeover. hand made pita would take this experience to another level. Overall I enjoyed my meal and appreciated the attentive respectful staff and lovely atmosphere. I will go back to try other dishes. The price and value was excellent.

Our first visit to this little gem. Party of three on a Friday night at 7:30pm. The house was crowded, but we still got one of the last remaining tables. We didn’t order this, but the garlic fries looked and smelled so good, that we were tempted to add it to our order… if we weren’t so darn full. I got the Gyro Plate mostly for the tzatiki sauce. It was all so delicious and flavorful. A bit on the saltier side for me, but it was still yummy. The plate is rather large, so come hungry. The fiancé got the Turkish dumplings with meat. SO good. Looked like little tortillini bites swimming in creamy goodness. The cousin got the eggplant meat dish, which he also enjoyed thoroughly. Service is great, atmosphere was lively and wonderful, and the restaurant was clean and inviting. I’d come again!

Had dinner here last night. Came in. Group of 6. Called 15 mins before reaching and they saved a table for our group. The décor is nice and the staff friendly. We were greeted immediately, seated and served water. There is a whole lot of food to choose from. We got the following– The hot sampler plate– came with dolmas, spanakopita, icle kofte(beef), sigara bogeri(phyllo with feta) and mujver. All were good. Especially liked the sigara and spanakopita. Hummus with meat– ok, not a favorite. Feta tzatziki dip– very bad Beet salad– I love a salad with sweet veggies, nuts and goat cheese, so this was an instant hit. Rib eye kebab– very nice and flavorful. Totally unexpected. Any 4 kebab– got 2 chicken and 2 lamb. Was pretty decent. Coban kavurma– was my favorite entrée of the night. Flavorful, perfectly tender meat and crunchy veggies. Imam bayildi– it was not at par with the other dishes. Seafood kebab– again a miss. Kunifeh– was too sweet and greasy and the cheese was not the best. Pistachio ice cream– the best from all the desserts. The dessert sampler– came with pistachio ice cream, baklava and rice pudding. The rice pudding had little flavor. Baklava was ok.

Really enjoyed my experience here, from the décor to the food. I had the Pomegranate Kebab dish: a long piece of lamb/beef grilled and covered with juicy red pomegranate love seeds, some sauteed spinach, with a bit of garlic yogurt. You also get some flavored rice and a nice chopped salad with bits of carrots and other veggies with a pomegranate seeds! It all looks ravishing and Deelish. Added the Yakut Eastern Anatolia Turkish red wine. it’s like a Pinot Noir but with a deeper body dark cherry, berry flavor. it’s delicious. Just $ 7.95. Décor: clean, modern and upscale. Customer service: fine. Kudo’s to my attendant who recommended the wine. Parking: ok

We came for lunch and were promptly ignored, even though the restaurant was empty(I guess we should have taken that as a sign and left). They serve dolmas from Costco, and almost everything that they serve has garlic. They do serve free pita bread and normal bread, which were probably the best thing on the menu. My friend also got a food poisoning after eating here…
