Christina is awesome! She’s knowledgeable, quick, honest, and trendy… the last 2 qualities are something that are definitely high on my list when looking for a stylist. She’s also easy to talk to and I felt at ease during my entire appointment. She made my balayage dream come true and many of colleagues gave me such nice compliments the next day. Can’t wait to see her again!

I’ve been a client of Christina’s for 5 years. She’s really talented, a great listener in terms of what kind of style I want, and very accommodating in terms of scheduling. She not only really knows color, highlights, keratin, hair products, but is the bomb on blowouts! My husband needed a last minute cut and color before a meeting and she was able to squeeze him into her calendar. She also happens to be a very nice, sweet person, and absolutely adorable.

Christina has been taking care of my ‘head’ for over 2 years now. She is very professional and a great consultant who is always up to date with the latest trends and techniques.
Her execution is flawless! I am always impressed with her coloring which is so well blended.
If you want something crazy which won’t suit you, Christina will tell you!

I have been going to Christina for about 4 years now faithfully. She does such a great job, I won’t let anyone else touch my hair.
She has given me partial highlights, a keratin treatment once, and my norm is shampoo, cut with subtle layers, and style.
Christina always does exactly what you want and is great to talk to. She is very stylish, herself and a friendly, caring person. She also has quite the memory! You’d think with all the clients she sees, she would forget details, but she doesn’t…remembering things about your life, etc.
I highly recommend her. This review is long overdue.

Christina Cheung at Textures Hair Salon is a very gifted hair artisan. My first visit, and she nailed it! Exactly the haircut I wanted. She listened to me and what I DIDN’T want, and then gave me the best cut I’ve had in years. My experience exceeded every expectation I had by a mile.
My hair is not easy to cut, either; a bad and unbalanced cut a few weeks ago left me frustrated, and my hair is thinning, very fine, and I have cowlicks. Thank goodness that Christina is VERY gifted (and reasonably priced as well). Additionally, the salon itself is a calm and pleasant environment, and the front receptionist was very professional, helpful and friendly. Things could not have gone better, and I look forward to my next visit soon!

Christina is an amazing stylist. I’ve been to several stylists before, and due to my asian straight hair, they haven’t been able to figure out how to style my hair. I told Christina how I’d like my hair styled, and she killed it. Not only is she super creative & professional, her jokes are a cherry on top. I recommend anyone looking for a new stylist to check out Christina. You won’t be dissapointed!

I can’t emphasize enough how much I’m in love with Christina’s work.
I didn’t book her specifically, but did run into some of these reviews while browsing through Unilocal reviews for other salons and specifically remember the lovely pictures. She worked with me at Textures Salon.
My order today was pretty demanding, since I had never had my hair done before by a professional – it had always been cut by a talented friend – so I didn’t know what to expect. I came in with some Google Images of «sunkissed hair for tan Asians,» emphasizing that I wanted more natural face-​framing highlights, and to avoid the stark ombré look. Christina delivered 110% without any of my comments.
During the entire process, Christina was professional and straightforward but still very bubbly and comforting, which is especially important for a salon newbie like me. She had so many recommendations for me, and I know I can approach her with any questions about hair care-​taking in the future.
Since I received essentially a balayage and haircut, and Menlo Park is a more expensive area, the total cost was a little higher than I expected. If you’re on a tighter budget, then Christina’s prices might not be in your range, but if you’re willing to pay for spot-​on results, then Christina Cheung is your girl! I will happily pay for Christina’s amazing work and can see myself returning to her in the future.

I have been thinking about highlighting my hair and finally had it done last week by Christina. She listened to what I want and provided suggestion from her professional perspectives. Since I don’t want to go all the way out for dramatic highlights for the first time, she was able to give me the natural highlights that blend in with my natural hair color. Besides, I love the haircut. she layered my hair with volume. After my hair stylist moved to Spain, I had a hard time to find the right hair stylist that can cut my hair the way I wanted. I am thankful to find her shortly after my previous hair stylist left USA.

Finding a new hairstylist is such a pain but I got lucky when I found Christina. She is so friendly and cuts it exactly how I want but better with her recommendations and judgement. I’m actually not from the area, I happened to stumble upon this spot because of a client meeting. She is definitely worth the commute, I will be a returning client. She’s definitely got the men’s cut down. I found my new stylist!

I have been coming to Christina for about 3 years now. She does an amazing job with my difficult to handle curly frizzy hair. I would highly recommend her to everyone.

I’ve been looking for a great stylist on the peninsula for over a year and tried at least half a dozen before finding Christina. She does a fantastic job with my short, fine hair and gives a consistent cut every time. The part I appreciate the most is her attention to detail in places that most other stylist wouldn’t bother. I can’t recommend her enough for men’s cuts.

I usually don’t post Unilocal reviews unless I absolutely love or need to warn people about it but Christina does an amazing job with my hair. I have gone to so many places and have spent hundreds of dollars and Christina does the best job.
As for a blow out, I have tried every blow dry bar place (halo, dry bar, etc. and tried different stylists) I have always come out disappointed on how it turned out and it took such a longer time than expected. Christina does the best blow up in such a good time frame. Forget going to a blow out place for your hair. Christina does the best job!

I recently went to Christina for a haircut. I have very thick hair that needs regular texturizing/​thinning to keep it from being too heavy and bulky. At first I was concerned because my hair already had a lot of layers, so I was afraid thinning it out would make it more choppy. However, Christina was able to work her magic and actually was able to even fix my choppy layers to look more blended. She was also careful to not thin it out too much and made sure I was happy with the results.
My hair is mostly straight, slightly wavy naturally, but my layers would always wave/​flip out terribly. requiring me to always have to spend a lot of time with the flat iron everyday. Christina recommended a Keratin smoothing treatment. It definitely made my hair a lot more smooth. I still need to use a flat iron to achieve a perfectly straight and sleek look, but now it takes me less than half the time it used to. My hair is so much more manageable now!
Christina listens to what you want, and takes time to explain what she can and will do. Unlike other stylists I’ve gone to, she actually cares about the condition of your hair and does not use any harsh chemicals. I’m definitely pleased with the results of my hair, and will be going back to Christina for future cuts and treatments.

I have been getting my hair done by Christina for over three years. I’ve gone from long hair with layers to short A-​line bobs, Ombrés, and highlights with all of them yielding exceptional results. She’s quick at picking up what your vision is for your hair and accommodating your needs. In the past I’ve experienced stylists who get frustrated when you tell them you want changes made, whether it’s because they aren’t doing what you asked for or because I had a change of mind. I went for a cut last week prior to my works’ holiday party and after shampooing and completing the cut, I then asked for highlights. Christina had to shampoo my hair again and she wasn’t upset that I didn’t tell her earlier. My highlights came out beautifully and my coworkers loved the new hairdo. I highly recommend her!
