La Fogata Bar and Grill is amazing! My wife and I were both in El Salvador for 2 years and LOVE pupusas, and were not sure we would be able to find them after moving to Memphis. I can honestly say these are the BEST pupusas I have had since I left El Salvador! They are so, so good. And the restaurant is very nice, clean, and the staff is very professional and treats us well every time we go.
My favorite pupusas are frijol con queso (beans and cheese) and queso con lorocco. Loroco is a flower bud used in cooking in El Salvador and Guatemala and you probably won’t find it anywhere else in America except in Pupusas. It is delicious!
I recommend this restaurant as highly as possible! Give it a try. You won’t be sorry you did.
