Pretty mediocre place. The food was ok but not amazing or impressive. Hubby got the Nachos Supreme which were decent but not worth getting again. Also, I don’t usually care about presentation, but I expect it to look a little nicer. It was very thrown together. I got the mixed brochetas and the steak was the best part. The chicken was ok but the shrimp was bland. The steak was chewy so I’d want to get it less cooked next time but otherwise the seasoning on it was fantastic. I wouldn’t come back on my own but if I found myself here again I’d try the Camarones al Coco since I’ve never seen Coconut Shrimp in a Mexican place before. To Try: Camarones al Coco Liked: — Brochetas de bisteak — Pico de Gallo Ok: — Brochetas de Pollo — Nachos Supreme Nah: — Brochetas de Camaron

Haven’t been back. Well, I will probably try Los Cabos one more time but was not knocked out by the first visit. Service was decent, chips and salsa were good. They have a lunch buffet for $ 6.99 but when we got there the place wasn’t too crowded and looked a little stale. Business did pick up a little. I tried a house specialty in the Pescado Maya. It had a decent achiote chili sauce it was cooked in but nothing special. It was supposed to have several other items in the mix and to be cooked in a plantain leaf. Just came with some chili paste and in tin foil. I wouldn’t get it again. The side salad was not fresh and I didn’t eat much. The fish was $ 14.00. The lunch fajitas were ok but nothing to jump up and down about. The guacamole was not very fresh either. Overall I’d give them another shot but I don’t go to seafood places that aren’t super fresh. They did have some good looking things on the menu and I hope they are better executed than the fish I tried.

The restaurant feels more like a bar then an actual restaurant. For the name being cabos I expected them to have more sea décor. more blue colors inside or even a fish tank. The nacho Supremes were just OK. I have had better nachos at other places. for one the chicken didn’t have very much flavor to it. just tasted like shredded chicken that was watered down, same goes for the ground beef. Other places, like I am not going to mention any names all I can say is that it starts with taco and ends with Bell, well they have better tasting ground beef. Server was awesome for his first week here There is live music at this place Tuesdays is jazz. Thursdays and Fridays it’s the DJ

Good is meh. You don’t hate it but you don’t love it either. Live music was great though.

Average… got my order wrong. Salsa alittle spicy. Went on a Saturday night. It was very crowded and loud.

Best Mexican I’ve had since moving to Memphis. Reminds me of my favorite place back home. Like most Mexican restaurants, you get complimentary chips & salsa. The chips could use a little salt but the salsa is absolutely divine. It’s got just the right amount of kick and is largely responsible for my trip down memory lane… like to the point that I almost offensively want to ask if they are related to the family that ran the restaurant in my home state… THAT good! I ordered the Enchiladas Deluxe & was slightly overwhelmed at the amount of food on the plate. Everything came out hot(which is sometimes asking a lot) and flavorful. Each of the fillings had its own seasoning profile which enhanced the contents rather than drowned them in the typical flavors of Mexican cuisine. Service was quick & efficient… maybe a little sparse but we didn’t actually need anything so not that big of a deal this trip. It was kind of slow for dinner time on a Sunday but it allowed me to get a good idea of the space… and it’s an enormous one. It is a bar AND grill but could definitely double as a nightclub. That’s how much space was on the bar side. And SOOOOO many TVs. You’ll definitely be able to watch whatever sporting event is being obsessed over. We will definitely be back. We drove an hour into Mississippi looking for good Mexican food, all the while this place is literally around the corner. Next time… MARGARITAS!!!

Chips and salsa are outstanding. Had the El Rancho dinner which was a sampling of everything. Enchilada had a mole sauce which was ok but I’d rather have a chili con carne gravy. Tamale and chile relllenos were a fail. Have heard the best thing is there seafood which I’ll try next time.

The drinks was awesome and so was the food. The waitress started out being very attentive then at some point she stopped. We had to call her name or go to the bar to get service. The place wasn’t crowded so I couldn’t understand why she stopped being attentive. If it wasn’t for the food and drinks, I don’t I would go back. I give it 3 ½ stars

The food was good the drinks were good but the serve is what killed it for this review we had to call for or go find the waitress several times to get service and the wait times for food and drinks were longer than they should have been one of the customers that was in our party just got up and went to the bar for his drink.

I really like this place and am surprised the rating isn’t higher. We typically get the queso fundido — it’s $ 22 for two and a TON of food. Cheese, steak, chicken, shrimp and chorizo /yum!!! The drink prices are great too and they have live music on certain nights — I know Tuesday’s for sure. Overall it seems like a fun spot to hang out. The interior is beach themed, one side is just tables and the other has the bar, more tables and stage but it’s basically one big room so it can get loud. The service is good and staff friendly. Check it out!

This place is owned by my favorite Mexican restaurant just a block away, El Toro Loco. They have a smaller, more seafood centric menu as opposed to Toro Loco, but still on point. They have alot of my favorite items from Toro Loco as they are there and alot of the same items recreated with seafood. Just avoid the chipotle shrimp burrito and you will be fine. The shrimp is absolutely delicious but the sauce is horrible. The staff seem a bit lackadaisical, but I usually get mine to go so maybe I shouldn’t say.

Quesadilla is on point. Simple but great… I had steak. Service is OK. Top shelf margaritas are the bomb. Strong!!! On the weekends they have live music. It’s also a great place to take Spanish classes on field trips. I chaperoned some last year. They have good burritos, too.

Every Thursday is a must to show up. Margaritas and beer are on special with the happy hour. Even after that the pricing isn’t bad. Plus when you have 1 you can’t because of the taste or you can stop because of how strong. Lol best margaritas! I love Los Cabos.

This was good value for the money Mexican food. Shrimp Diablo was spicy and tasty. Overall, not authentic Mexican food. Margaritas were average at best.

This place was a pleasant surprise. Our favorite little Mexican joint closed up shop in this area and we were hesitant to try new places. We actually all three really enjoyed this place. The lunch menu is a little limited, but I’d say there is something for everyone. I’m excited to try them for dinner.

I had never been here before, so I was definitely surprised when I arrived on a Friday evening for dinner and was waved down with a security wand by the door attendant. The place was packed, TVs showing the game, women decked out in heels and tight dresses, loud music blaring. Are we at the club or a restaurant? Should I be concerned about my safety? After I got over the initial shock of the scene, I started enjoying the music and attacked the chips. The chips are not the thin kind but they are authentic. The salsa definitely had a kick to it. I ordered a Pina Colada which was delicious. My husband tried this drink with 3 bottles of liquor sitting on the top, I’ve never seen anything like this before in my life. I ordered the Arroz con Camerones, since I saw someone else posted it on Unilocal and had a good review of it. It was delicious. My husband ordered the fajitas. It was nicely presented and looked like it was a bit of everything in there — steak, chicken, shrimp, etc. It was good as well. My husband was buzzed after drinking about ¼ of the glass of that big drink. But once we got the bill and he saw it was $ 30, he was determined to finish it… lol. My poor baby. Will we go back? Probably!

Food was great, salsa was a little to spicy for me. The drink should have been called«illegal». The atmosphere should have been called Mexican meet Da Hood.

My favorite Mexican lunch spot! I’ve been a regular now for 3 months and I’ve never had anything on the menu that wasn’t fantastic ! Staff are extremely attentive. It is very clean and has a great vibe. Nice music and atmosphere is very welcoming. It feels like you’re on vacation. My husband thinks he gets credit for picking this spot. Shhhh… It was my idea ! This place has made my day: D If you’re looking for us, there is a good chance you’ll find us here! Don’t forget to try the hibiscus juice !

Mexican done right! Had the Arroz con Cameron. Spot on perfect. Like eating at a beach palapa in Baja Sur. The kitchen is very intent on sending out good, authentic food. A large bar with lots of flat screens throughout(you won’t miss a game here). The staff is attentive and keeps the place spotless(watched a young lady clean a table like she was prepping for open heart surgery). My new favorite spot for south of the border. Mi amo Los Cabos!

Don’t let the location deter you from checking this place out. As empty nesters we eat out about 3 – 4 times a week. We’ve tried everywhere over the past 20 years. Los Cabos is a solid #3 behind Las Delicias and La Perla Tapatia. We ordered the Fajitas Mix(beef, chicken, shrimp & bacon) and Pechuga Supreme. Both were very flavorful and enjoyable, not to mention the $ 2.50, 25 oz very cold draft beers during football games. We’ll be back.
