Gave it 2 because the music was good. The Gumbo fries had food flavor but we were the only ones in the place and the fries were cold as was the gumbo. Cheese wasn’t even melted. I have a feeling I will be tasting these for some time. Yuck!

Extraordinary place, atmosphere is everything you would expect. The food is really good and service is exceptional. Tank at the door is a great guy. Music is always good, I would recommend this place to anyone! !!

BBQ and blues are what I think of when I hear«Memphis», so after dinner we needed to get our blues fix. Thankfully the wait wasn’t too long and we were seated not long after paying our cover to get in. We got a table just to the right of the stage, which wasn’t good for seeing the musicians, but the BB King All Stars were great to listen to. They played many different genres of music and their vocalist was amazing, she had a great voice! My wife enjoyed her drink and I ordered a peach cobbler, which was decent. Wasn’t something I’d rave about, but definitely enjoyed an evening of listening to some great music at a nice venue.

We went on a Friday night when Will Tucker was playing. What an amazing musician! The music was loud, but incredible talent. And the food did not disappoint! I had a burger and my friend had the veggie pasta dish(one of the only veggie options on the menu)– both were excellent. The only drawback was that the music ended before 9pm. Maybe Memphis is an early city(we were visiting) but I would’ve stayed and ordered more food and drink if the music continued!

We stopped by here the weekend before Xmas. I put in a reservation prior to getting there which got us a table on the 2nd level. If you can, definitely get a reservation in to get you this. The seating was perfect as it was far enough away to not have the music blaring in your face, but gave the best view of the band playing. We ordered some food and it didn’t disappoint either. I had the roasted chicken which was fall off the bone amazing. My spouse had the ribs which were equally just as good. Tie in some locally brewed beer and their dessert and you’ll be waddling out the door completely satisfied. Next time we stop in Memphis, we will definitely be stopping here again. A must for Beale St.

We came in twice on a Saturday during our visit to Memphis. Saw 2 different bands and both were great! We sat at the bar the first round and got a table the next. Service was great and the wings were good too. I normally prefer buffalo but their bbq was my favorite — smoky and the right amount of heat without being too sweet. Thumbs up on music and a dance floor!

I heard Beale Street was mobbed for the Grizzlies’ game, so I arrived shortly after the tip off, walked right in. I was seated at a table with a view of the stage, and enjoyed good live Blues while I ate a delicious plate of shrimp and grits, and banana bread pudding. The food was terrific. The service was good. And the music was just what the doctor ordered. The only hitch is that $ 10 Lynchburg Lemonades was unreasonable, but they tasted pretty good.

Came for a late afternoon lunch. So I can’t speak to the nightlife/club aspect of B.B. King’s. They are very friendly here, inviting people in off the street to take a rest from the cold or just look around, the staff is great. It’s an okay environment, this is definitely a night spot and you should expect it to reflect that in the décor and lighting. The negatives: the food came out very slow. It was about a 30 minute wait when there really wasn’t anyone in the club. My friend got the grilled salmon, which was very good if slightly overcooked. Her rice came out extremely undercooked, but the waitress was very polite about it and brought her some more rice which was cooked perfectly. I ordered a hickory burger, which was overcooked. But I have to say that it was the skimpiest portions of bacon and crispy onion I’ve ever seen on a BBQ style burger. The burger was pretty big, in the half pound range, and I got two half strips of bacon and a little pile of onion straw.(See picture.) It was almost insulting to pay $ 2 extra for the bbq burger and then get the absolute minimal of the signature toppings. They also do the old money grab of charging you an extra dollar if you substitute for fries on your burger order. Just straight up price gouging. Very friendly staff, the food is no more than okay. Long ticket time.

Got there around midday. Got seated right away. Ordered gumbo yaya and it was delicious! Perfect amount of spice for me. Mint julep i ordered was quite intense beef brisket was not bad but corn bread that came with it was really dry. A jazz band started playing while we ate. They were pretty good!

We visited for lunch and was pleasantly greeted at the door. The gentleman at the door was friendly and all about the customer experience. We were seated and took in the appeal of the place. We ordered the shrimp and grits & meatloaf. I’ll say we both left satisfied! The food was very good and we never felt rushed. Leaving BB’s, the fellow at the door gladly took our picture. I’d go back and try some other dishes! Make the stop!

I love BB King and the blues. This being my first trip to Memphis, I was psyched to check out the music scene. This club is on Beale Street and I went in with the thought that this is probably a club that just has permission to use Mr. King’s name and I was right. Outside of his name and few signed guitars and his music playing while the band took a break, this place could be any other large live music club. There was a $ 5 cover, which ended up being the most I paid for any club on Beale. The door woman wasn’t friendly nor was the bartender. Drinks were pricey, $ 13 for two beers; again highest I paid in Memphis. We stayed about 45 minutes and nothing about the place encouraged me to return. It’s a shame too because I wanted to like this place. The only saving grace, and reason for an additional star, for this establishment was the four piece blues band that played. For those visiting, I recommend you snap a photo of the neon sign out front and keep on trucking down Beale, you’ll find better service and prices.

The house band is pretty fire here! I came here with two friends on a Saturday night. We came at a perfect time when the band was still setting up and people were finishing up their dinners. There was a wait for a table since a few people had the same idea of coming early but the wait was bearable since they had the bar conveniently nearby. We got seated less than fifteen minutes upstairs. The view wasn’t bad at all. I will say I could care less about the food. It was edible but the amount given on the sampler is questionable. The amount seems inconsistent after comparing a few samplers at the neighboring tables. I would say the ribs were probably one of the better items my table ordered. Overall, the food I would give it more of a 2.5 to three stars, but we weren’t here for the food. I am giving BB King Jazz Club four stars for the live music that keeps Memphis alive every weekend. BB King Jazz Club seems pretty touristy at first glance, but I totally recommend it if you are an outtatowner here to visit! It’s a lot of fun! I believe everyone had a good time that night.

Ok. Yes, this is «dive bar-ish», the food is ight. However, the vibe of this place rocks! It’s the first place you see when you hit Beale St… My first visit to Memphis, so of course, this was a «must go to» spot. The place was jammed thanksgiving weekend. I dropped in both thanksgiving night and Black Friday evening. The King Beez(band) were awesome. From new to old school, Angela had that place rockin. She has and amazing voice! I found myself on the dance floor like every other song. Between sets, again, they spinned new and old school. We ordered the Soul Platter and spinach dip. The fried catfish(that came with the platter) was good and juicy. I didn’t try the fried pickles cause I hate pickles! The wings were flavorful but were dry. The spinach dip lacked flavor and looked like it may have been made awhile ago and had been sitting under the lights for some time. However, it’s a bar/music venue so I wasn’t expecting much. But the music, the fun/vibrate atmosphere, the music, service and people. Made this place worth the time and money I spent in there.(The drinks weren’t over priced either). I will definitely be back my next visit to Memphis!

A group of us wondered down to Beale street for dinner on a Wednesday evening and decided to try the infamous BB Kings. We were seated upstairs due out large group and the downstairs area being rather packed. To our surprise live music began at 730pm and we arrived at 7. The music was absolutely fabulous blues with lots of local flair plus plenty of songs you could sing along to. Food wise no complaints. The menu is heavily southern BBQ. I have to be careful with what I eat so I opted for the grilled salmon which I wasn’t expecting to be great. Well I was wrong, it was delicious, cooked perfectly, seasoned well and accompanied by some very delicious green beans with bacon(bacon makes everything better). Our server was great with splitting everyone’s check and was quick with refills. Overall a great place for the Memphis feel. Be sure to check out all the cute local shops on Beale street also!

The B.B. King’s house band had my husband and I dancing all night! They even played«September»(our wedding song) when we requested it, and the request was accompanied by a tip, of course! We didn’t eat here but did sit at the bar for some drinks. Our bartender was attentive even on a packed Thursday night. The lead singer’s voice is so good that she gave me chills!

Loved this place! It was my first time in Memphis and my first time on Beale Street but I knew I had to check out BB Kings! They had 2 live bands that night which were both excellent and the food was so good! I tried the corn and jalapeños fritters which set my mouth on fire and I followed that up with some amazing peach cobbler. BB Kings is a must visit when you’re in Memphis!

Monday nights on Beale Street can be… challenging. We started at one bar that had live music we enjoyed, but that quickly transitioned into dueling pianos. We passed a place hosting a karaōke night and declined. Instead we ended up here, hoping for some decent live music and drinks. We got both. The B.B. King All Star Band was playing, fronted by Angela Adkisson. Adkisson is an incredible performer with her soulful voice and playful presence on stage. Her set list varied from covers of songs made famous by the divas to a few unexpected diversions thrown in. We enjoyed her so much, we bought her CD before leaving. Drinks were good and not terribly overpriced. Friends have claimed this is a tourist trap, and maybe they’re right, but it was the best place on Beale Street the night we spent in Memphis.

My mom loved the chili she thought it was delicious. I also thought it was great but to me it was super salty. We had a few drinks. But really we were there for the music. This place has a great atmosphere especially at night. When we walked past her in the day they were people there but of course it’s busiest at night when the band is there. The staff is nice it has a good layout you don’t feel like you’re on top of anyone else even though the stage takes up a good amount of the layout. The king beez were amazing. My mother pre-much had to hold me back from attacking the guy who was selling CDs. I was so excited to get one. This is a must visit when you’re on Beale Street. No if’s and’s or butts about it.

I think this is the number one place on Beale Street. They have good food with generous portions. There were 5 of us in our party. They have bands that start playing about 5:30 daily. The band we saw was the King Beez. They are a blues band but they played rock too from such artists as Elvis Presley and Lynryd Skynryd and others. 4 of us ordered their bar b q sandwich with French fries which were a $ 1 up charge. One ordered cheeseburger and French fries. Everybody said that it was good. We parked about two blocks away between 2nd and 3rd for $ 10 which was all day parking. There were signs saying that if you leave you have to repay to get back in. But, I was able to talk the attendant into letting me come back as it had to pick somebody up at the hospital right quick,
