Eek! Methinks not– we ordered through eat 24 and not only did it take double the estimated time– but the food was cold and super disappointing. The bacon tastes like the kind my grandpa keeps in the freezer and throws in the microwave on a paper plate. The french toast was ok– a bit chewy, and cold so it actually was microwaved on a paper plate.

I’ve loved lighthouse and gone there a ton over the years, it’s convenient and cheap and really good food. They’ve recently done it over and it looks aewsome. I would check it out !

Nice surprise after a drive from Plymouth. Huge Mexican omelet that filled half my plate seasoned hash browns and a grilled corn muffin. Other meal was French toast nice powdered making a great presentation. Coffee was good and waitress was quick to offer refills

We stopped by for breakfast on a weekday morning. I saw the 3.5 stars and thought it would be worth a try. Big mistake on our part. Food — It’s REALLY tough to screw up breakfast food but this place took it to the next level. My husband ordered his usual corned beef hash that came with eggs and hash browns and I ordered the«lighthouse keepers choice»(bacon, eggs, grilled corn muffin and hash browns). The hash browns had a really strange taste to them. It was a combination of a fake buttery flavor mixed with that freezer burn taste and it was not pleasant. It was the first time that we did not eat our hash browns. Our eggs were gummy and overcooked. The corn muffins from costco taste better than the one served to me. We barely finished our food… something that never happens! Service — Here’s where it gets interesting. My husband found two black hairs under his hash browns. But, he didn’t say anything because he wasn’t going to finish his food anyway. While he was in the restroom, I asked for the check and mentioned to the waitress that there were hairs in the food. She immediately got defensive and angry and said, «nobody in the kitchen has hair». I was confused because I saw the cook in the back and he had hair… black hair. I told her that we were still going to pay for the meal and that we weren’t upset about it, but she continued to say that nobody in the restaurant had hair when we clearly saw the cook in the back with black hair!!! So confusing. She gave us a $ 3 discount on the meal(one star for that) and we left hungry and with a bitter taste in our mouths from the whole experience.

Had late breakfast on a Sunday. Waitress was very nice. Place is clean and the coffee was fresh. I am picky about omelettes but I saw the guy’s next to me and thought I would take a chance. Just like I would make at home! None of that thin layer of eggs rolled around some cheap fillings that you get at other places. If you like you toast or English muffin crunchy than ask for it that way. Will def go back to try something new.

Waitstaff was incredibly sweet so the stars are for them. The food was terrible — the pancakes literally were inedible the eggs were cheap and tasteless and the potatoes were also bad. If you’re hungover and just need food it’s ok otherwise I would not go back.

We waited a half hour to get food and literally not that many people. Go to another breakfast place in town. Waitress didn’t even come to check on us at we angrily waited for our food. We are from out of town and time is kind of the essence to not wait.

This is a great place for ordering breakfast(just give it an hour or so to get to you)! The Eggs Benedict is always delicious, pancakes(particularly Apple cinnamon or blueberry) are never a let down… I mean. It’s basic stuff, but hits the spot. I ordered chicken Caesar salad for the first time today. The dressing is a little too zesty for my taste, but still good overall. Bad experience with in house service: We went for breakfast one Sunday morning. It was busy, but not packed. Once our party of four was seated, we waited at least 25 minutes before we were asked if we wanted water. We waited another 10 minutes for said water. Placed our order and didn’t get food for another 30 minutes. And our water was never replenished. It’s crazy to think we would have certainly gotten our food faster if we’d have had it delivered. They must have been short staffed. but the service that morning was unimpressive to say the least. STICKTOORDERINGDELIVERY. The delivery guys are nice. But do it online. Every single time I’ve tried to call(which has been several times), I get a busy signal. I think they might be leaving the phone off the hook.

Was in a hurry to grab something quick for breakfast before golf. Made the mistake of stopping here. Ordered and paid for a sausage and egg sandwich. Got to my car, and realized it was just an egg sandwich. Did I seriously just pay someone $ 6 for an egg and two slices of bread? Thanks for ruining our morning.

I’ve been back twice since my first review, and the food and service both excellent each time. I had a Chicken Parm Sandwich my second visit! YUM… I went this past Sunday with hubby and Mom. I had the Mexican Omelet, hash browns and a corn muffin. Hubby had the French Toast Special with carmelized apples, bananas, walnuts, cinnamon sugar and whipped cream, and Mom had Scrambled Eggs with sausage, hash browns and ww toast. We shared fresh fruit. Everything was excellent. We will return!

I give the second star only because I think the food could be very good at a reasonable temperature. We ordered breakfast, through Foodler, before 10am, and we received brunch, cold, at 11:40am. We called several times and, while apologetic, the restaurant did not offer any compensation or even explanation for the two hour wait. That said, after a trip through the microwave, my tepid coffee and congealed eggs benedict were at least edible. I would like to try lighthouse café again at some point, probably after my extreme disappointment ebbs. And certainly not for hangover breakfast.

This place was pretty mediocre and a disappointment to two starving people on a Sunday morning. It was all edible but nothing special– the veggie«omelette» was really a bunch of veggies with an egg on top– and the platter my boyfriend got sounded like a huge amount of food but came out looking like a kids meal! Worst of all, after we finished our meal, we sat there for about half an hour waiting for our check. We checked with the waitress who told us someone would be out to help us and then talked to the table next to us for fifteen minutes. Eventually we just went up to the register. We were really excited to find a new place close to home– but I don’t think we will be back.

The food is actually quite good. Unfortunately, delivery takes over 2 hours — if it arrives at all. Tried ordering once, and after repeated follow up calls I got my food two hours later. Hoping this was a one off, I tried again another day — this time, I was told after multiple calls that, as of two and a half hours after placing the order, the food still wasn’t even being cooked. This despite the fact that an hour previously, they had claimed the food was almost ready. Given that this has happened multiple times, I can only assume they have no sense of professional responsibility towards their online customers — I can’t speak to the on-premise experience, but avoid ordering from here if you can.

*this was a GrubHub delivered order. Ordered the French toast special. Not much special about it! «carmelized apples walnuts & bananas» was more like canned apple pie mix dumped on bananas & french toast. Not a walnut anywhere! Cinnamon/sugar/whipped cream? I suppose the apple pie glob had cinnamon & sugar — but that’s like saying it contains bread! The delivery took 30min(well under the 60min they quoted) Everything was ice cold. I know it’s winter– but can’t they find insulated carriers for delivery? Sure I can nuke it warm, but toasted bagels don’t reheat well when this cold. Overall the food was edible-but nothing excited or worth a repeat order. bleh…

I had breakfast here with my family a few days ago. Very good food and excellent service. This is a place that everyone has to try. I had the Chef Lighthouse Keeper. To die for! I understand they deliver too. WEWILLBEBACK!

They cook everything pretty perfectly. My girl enjoys the omelette and they make delicious hashbrowns! The prices are so affordable I could easily come here everyday! Next time I’m coming for lunch!

Same great food, same great prices and they’ve REMODELED! There is now a nice flat screen in the corner airing the History Channel(just making an observation), no more dirty carpets and it doesn’t feel like a dungeon any longer. The waitstaff hadn’t changed a bit and are still quick to refill your joe and get your order out to you quickly. Yep, confirmed still love it here!

Since moving to Medford Square I have been eye-ing this unassuming breakfast joint for months. Although it’s nothing fancy, there is something really appealing about the local feel, cheap prices, lighthouse emblem, and breakfast specials taunting me each morning. I never saw this place before it’s renovation, but the new décor is fresh, open, clean, and inviting. It gets busy weekend mornings, but nothing compared to the crazy wait lines for similar joints in Somerville. The biggest draw for this space is the food, and not because it’s the most exotic or briliantly prepared menu. The portions are ample, and the food is tasty, and reminds me of something I might cook up at home myself. If I had any request, it would be that they should serve higher quality orange juice. Other than that, it’s a great place to get a quick bite to eat to start the day!
