oh my gosh oh my gosh OHMYGOSH!
I just had to jump on Unilocal immediately and write a glowing review for the wonderful family owned and operated business, Gems on Display. 29-​star rating if I could! My new display pieces for my small side-​business with Stella & Dot just arrived to my door and I am beyond impressed. This review is bubbling out of me. I can’t wait to share my stellar experience with Gems on Display with you!
THE PROBLEM: I needed really elegant trays, ring stands, bracelet bars, and the like. Although the jewelry sells itself, you do kinda sorta need a place to set it up and make it look good when you’re in someone’s home! When I discovered the $ 8.95 shipping for every order under $ 100, I decided to go a little crazy with my order, and get something for my bedroom as well. The prices are so rock-​bottom on this website that there was NO WAY I was going to get my order up to $ 100. However, the burlap bracelet bar I wanted for my dresser in my room was sold out. I kept my eye on the website for a week and it remained sold out. Finally I just went ahead and placed my order, writing in the «comments» section that I would really appreciate an email when the burlap bracelet bar comes back in stock because I’ve been waiting to order and I don’t want to pay another $ 8.95 in shipping. I figured my business is more important than my personal desires and I should just go ahead and place my order.
THE SOLUTION: I heard back from a lovely woman the very next day. She told me the bar I wanted would be back in stock in 2 days, and if I wanted she would hold off shipping until they could pack it also, and then ship everything together. Wow! Yes I do want that! And thank you for reading my note in the ‘comments’ section and actually paying attention! Holy smokes.
THE HAPPY LIZ DANCE: So here I am unwrapping the items from my very large box. Packed in plain brown paper, underneath bubble wrap, underneath plastic wrapping covering each piece. So I say
, eat your heart out, because Amazon’s display items are TRIPLE the price and they arrive bruised and abused in paper-​thin packaging. Gems on Display does it elegantly and well! All told I spent under $ 60 (shipping included) and I received 6 white trays with burlap liners, a single long bracelet bar and a double T-​bar for bracelets and necklaces, a white leatherette ring display and 5 burlap earring stands. Stella & Dot also sells display pieces, but they are absurd: only 5 trays for $ 40. Gems on Display saved my pocketbook and helped my business, and I will be re-​ordering full busts for necklaces as I continue to make some sales (I have a few folding necklace stands right now, but those simply won’t do in the future when I’m a star stylist.) The prices are so reasonable on the website, I was actually doing a comparison between what Gems offered and what Amazon or Stella offered (the exact same thing at double or triple the price).
There is NO comparison! Wonderful customer service, safe and generous packaging, fast shipping, and low prices. Ahhh I’m so glad I found you, Gems, I’ll name my first born after you or something. Lifetime customer. A million thanks.
