Parkway Golf Practice Range & Pro Shop

A sign out front says it is going to be auctioned. The range was convenient for locals, I hope it reopens in the future.

This is a great place to practice your golf swing. They have a pro shop, 4 heated bays for cold weather, and two general out door rope areas. They also have a chipping and putting green, and a putting green for practice. The 2 greens areas are both run down and have weeds (tall ones) growing in them. The grass in the two rope areas is fine but not what you’d find on most gold courses in the area. The current prices are 6 bucks for the smallest bucket of balls, $ 9 for the medium size (called a large) and $ 15 for the biggest (called extra large). The $ 9 is fairly big and I’m fairly happy with it.
The pro shop is run down and does not have a good selection of … of well anything. It’s awful to be honest.
The property. In general is below the quality you would find at many courses. The people behind the counter are nice and helpful although sometimes they are in the back and hard to find.
They do offer lessons and have a PGA pro available if you schedule in advance. I have not used that service so I can’t comment on the quality.
Overall it’s a fine place to hit golf balls.
