The food is decent, but the service is definitely lacking. Here’s the worst part: I asked for California rolls WITHOUT crab meat and they charged $ 0.50 extra per roll for omitting the crab. Where is the logic in that? They are not accommodating to vegetarians/vegans, so find another sushi place for sure if you don’t eat meat.

Needs more waiters/waitresses. Having to come in and wait 15 – 20 minutes until our drink orders were taken. Even to check out took a while as well. I could have just walked out. Food is ok. Minimal selections. My visit was barely satisfactory. My bill was larger than calculated as well. Actually, dropping it to 1 star. The plates should really be labeled. The waitress informs me to ask her before taking a plate so I could know beforehand. I shouldn’t have to be able to ask permission to take a plate. Only good review: Want a sushi place that serves on a conveyer belt? Boom, go here, but, there are probably other conveyer belt sushi restaurants that have a wider variety and more waiters and waitresses to serve you and probably has their selections labeled for you as well… so, you won’t have to ask for each and every plate.

I really wouldn’t even give this one star. We went in today and asked to be seated in an open booth. They said they were to busy to seat us there and had to save both of them for a larger party. The booth seats 4 and their was only 2 of us. Don’t even ask for hot food. The potstickers, crispy California rolls and egg rolls are always cold, been on belt all day, but they refuse to make new ones. Special order no way. The staff are rude and unhelpful. I’ll never go there again!

Was so excited to try this place only to be so disappointed. We were seated fast but the booths have huge holes. The pot stickers were old, cold and tasted nasty. We got some sushi rolls and they were hot like they have been sitting there for hours. We asked the waitress for our bill and she wouldn’t give it to us. I asked again and she asked why. I simply explain our issues then asked for our bill again. She finally gave it. We will never go back again. It’s food pisoning waiting to happen! Stay away!

The first time was so so about a year ago. This time was off the charts good. Tuna and salmon we’re impeccable and the kids enjoyed the strawberry rolls, miso, and fruit which was very fresh as well. Great time was had by all.

Left totally dissatisfied. Sushiland is way better. Wish I hadn’t came in here. I ordered 2 Salmon, 1 squid and a calamari because I couldn’t find any salmon or squid on the belt. After I ordered, one of the servers basically yelled at me telling me needed to grab from the belt. She repeated that about 5 times, pointing at the belt and then back at my plates as if I couldn’t understand. Rude, and sushi wasn’t even good either. Never coming back !

We have been going here for years so when I checked in today saw all the bad reviews, I knew I had to share my experience. I enjoy real sushi and sashimi. The raw fish is excellent and prepared beautifully. The pieces are large enough to get a good taste but not ridiculously super sized so you are able to enjoy a variety of favors. My husband believes raw fish belongs in a fish bowl, and used to call eating here«The hunger games» because he would only get a few egg rolls and potstickers, which he enjoyed, but weren’t very satisfying for a comedian such as himself. He finally ventured out and ordered off the menu and to his delight found the teriyaki delicious and now leaves fulfilled. The price is excellent and when it is busy the variety is amazing. Toward the end of the night, obviously there is less on the roll but that’s when you too can exercise your right to order off the menu! It’s like magic! You ask for a specific nigiri or roll and they prepare it for you! Service has always been prompt and friendly, but appropriate for a belt sushi place. They seat us and take a drink order. Sometimes we do have to work to get attention for Mr. Comedian to order his food, but it’s not a huge deal. We signal when we are ready to go either by pushing away our plates or I get up and walk out to the car and stick him with the check works every time!

The sushi is better quality than marinepolis, but customer service is always pretty poor. I’ve visited on several occasions and I always leave a little disappointed. Sashimi is very good, but the rolls are just crab salad with toppings. Avoid the chicken wings at all costs. The waitstaff are very odd– they either ignore you or smother you. I’ve even had them come up and rub my back, which is so creepy. Ugh, please don’t! Overall, if you must have sushi in Marysville/Smokey Point, it’s okay and will meet your needs, but it’s not going to be amazing.

As others have said, I really didn’t want to drive clear to Lynnwood for sushi, especially considering I hate sushi, and only went with friends who wanted it. The restraunt itself is clean, and the belt was really cool. All I ate was dumplings and chocolate cake(I’ve never seen chocolate cake at a sushi joint before, which was delicious!) Onto the next thing. Service was atrocious. We were a group of 5, and we stood and waited to be seated. There was no sign or anything, so my general rule of thumb is to wait until people start staring. Then we just sat ourselves, and my friends started grabbing plates. We didn’t see anyone but the cooks until we were almost done, when the waitress came over with her huge attitude. She brought us our drinks, then we didn’t see her the rest of the time, at least willingly. We waited for a while until my husband got up. sought her out, and asked for our bill. I’ve worked in the service industry my whole life, and this was shitty. I still left her a tip. I hate myself for it. Next time, I’ll just make the trip.

I recommend going shortly after they open. The first time we went it was near closing so you get the remaining stuff. So our food wasnt the best. I didn’t wanna drive to Lynnwood for sushi so we decided to give this place another try. I was happy we did. Everything we ate was amazing!!! My only complaint is please label your plates. I don’t eat meat so I was afraid to try certain things. Also label it like blue c shushi does. Vegan, vegetarian, raw, etc I’ve never had a issue with customer service. Its a shushi belt for crying out loud lol

HORRIBLE!!! In every way!!! The worst service on the planet! Sub par sushi at best! We will never be back! I couldn’t believe how they treat paying customers! Mocking Americans, and making derogatory remarks about Americans! This place does not deserve a spot on this soil! So blown away by these employees! Forever black balled!

I was pretty surprised to find a sushi joint up Marysville way but a friend who used to work up here loved it and often frequented it, so we hit it up on an outlet mall trip. Its also a frequent haunt for the sailors at the nearby Navy facility, so we saw and chatted with a few of them over lunch. This is a conveyor belt restaurant and unlike other ones I’ve been to, the conveyor belt at this place circled twice around the workers, so patrons can see two rows of sushi moving through. We came about 1230 and the double belt was full. The sushi chefs kept the food coming out because the belt stayed full regardless of how many people came to eat and the restaurant got pretty busy. They had many different kinds of sushi, desserts, and other plates. Plates start at $ 1, which is pretty cool. I counted at least 7 different rolls that started with a California roll base, so its pretty non-raw-fish patron-friendly. The hot tea is warm and tasty. The only thing I didn’t really like was the quality of fish: like most conveyor-belt places, raw fish(or seared fish) slices do get a little hard and stale if they’ve been going around a bit. A couple of my nigiri appeared to be less-than-fresh. Whatever my qualms were, my two gal pals really loved it and enjoyed our lunch. So, I’m probably just being over picky. They have a great selection mini cupcakes and all of their fruit plates have little umbrellas sticking out from them.

I’m honestly not sure what people on here are complaining about — Belt is better than many sushi spots I’ve been in all around the world(retired Navy). Yes, they do not cover every item — but many places don’t cover anything. However, the chefs are always monitoring the time an item spends on the carousel, and unless you let your kids grab stuff off it(a no-no at any restaurant) then it’s not an issue. There isn’t always a big variety on the belt, as they keep waste down to a minimum. You can get the chefs to prep kind of roll you want if you don’t see it on the belt, and they have a good menu of prepared dishes. Overall, a great place to go, without the inflated cost of a 5-star restaurant.

We’ve been here a few times as we desperately want to find a decent sushi place close to home. We’ve been 4 or 5 times and every time we’ve walked away wondering why we went in. The food is always warmer than it should be and never seems as fresh as better sushi places. The service ranges from terrible to not great. The price is good, but I guess you get what you pay for. Some of our trips deserve a 2 star but some deserve a 1 star. You get the point.

Terrible customer service. Plates are not labeled so your guess is as goid as mine as to what you are eating. When I asked about sake, the waitress just repeated«sake is good». Fail

I have been coming to this restaurant on and off since it opened. I noticed that the quality and variety has been going down hill gradually. I am still very thirsty from probably the fried calamari that I ate 5 hours ago. I do not over-react to MSG, since I grew up eating MSG, this is how I feel when I eat it. The seafood is not fresh. And there is an off taste in the sushi rice. The fried chili pepper that I got from the belt tasted like it had been sitting out for hours, without cover. A guy who sat down next to us also ordered fried calamari. It turned out he got twice as much a serving and they were all big plump pieces. All I had gotten was ends and bits of the tenacle. I should have taken a picture of it, but I had finished it off and was ready to leave. That is some way to treat your customer. I understand he could be a regular. But does my money worth half as much? It was the last straw and I will never come back again.

Service is terrible. Only one roll worth ordering and with terrible service I would not recommend this place to my enemy. When we asked for a sliced hot pepper to put on our rolls they looked at us like we were out our mind and said no we can’t do that. Wife had to ask the chef again before they realized we were serious. No offense to the people in this community that eat here but there must be a lack of quality food in the area because no way is this place worth my time or money. I guess to be far it is almost as good as 7 – 11. Do yourself a favor and eat dog food. You will be much better off. Yuk.
