The one thing I love about Starbucks is that I can know what to expect from their coffee. It was good as usual. I tried their new drink Carmel roasted something and it was really took sweet for me. I should have stuck with a cup of regular joe.

I don’t know if it’s because I’m from the hustle and bustle of southern California, but this place is S-L-O-W! I think we waited 15 minutes before ordering. The barista had to read the different teas that were available, which I thought was weird, and didn’t have the best demeanor. I ordered a Oprah Chai, and when I got it, it was super hot! He didn’t ask how warm I’d like my water so I almost burned myself a few times trying to drink it. Ryan P and I wanted to order bistro protein boxes and we found out that you can’t get those in Louisiana! I also wasn’t able to find a «You Are Here» mug in the suburbs of New Orleans. On a positive note, the drink was made rather fast once I ordered and the bathrooms were clean.

Had to wait 16 mins in line for 3 shots of espresso… Didnt get a «hello» «sorry for the wait» or acknowledgement for that matter at the window. Rude staff. Unnecessarily long wait.

I haven’t always been one to write a review on an establishment, however I think that its important that the general public, as well as organization’s understand the impacts of lack of customer service in brand loyalty. I hate to be one of those people that only leave a review when it is a bad one, in fact, I am typically more apt to sing someone’s praises when it is a job well done. That being said, this review has been a long time coming so here it goes. I relocated back to New Orleans about 3 years ago and being that this is the closest Starbucks to me, it is the one I would frequent the most. About 2 years ago I stopped coming to this location and opted to travel to the Starbucks in Harvey, LA instead because 1) the customer service was not hospitable at all and 2) there seemed to be an infestation of flies everywhere. After being on a 2 year hiatus, only visiting the Marrero location seldom-ly, to my surprise when I returned a few weeks ago and began coming frequently throughout the week I realized that nothing had changed. The customer service is mediocre at best by most of the employees. There are a chosen few who are friendly, but they are far and few between unfortunately. Employees like Amanda and Garrett always greet with a smile, a couple of the other ladies as well(I don’t know their names), but young women like Nigel never even smile as she’s taking your order or interacting with the customer. I always wonder if she actually enjoys her job. No one is making you be here, so if you don’t like working in this industry just quit. Not just the customer service, but there is also a Caucasian gentleman who was fixing my drink once and began scratching his head(hair) and rubbed his nose while standing there making people’s drinks. I am an extreme germaphobe, so to witness this was mind-blowing to me due to the food safety and health concerns. Lastly, let me just say that this is my least favorite Starbucks I’ve ever been to, not just in the New Orleans Metropolitan area, but around the world. Even in Japan with a language barrier, the baristas smiled and nodded although they may or may not have had any idea about what I was talking about. My advice would be to drive right past this location and head for the Harvey location or the Elmwood which has quickly become my favorite. I will drive an extra 20 – 25 minutes to Elmwood(Harahan) to visit that Starbucks over the 5-minute drive it takes to get to the Marrero location. I am big on customer service and quality, and in my opinion Starbucks Marrero lacks significantly in both of these areas. My hope is that they will improve upon these areas in the near future. P. S. the flies have gotten better, but there are still several buzzing around your drinks and food, landing on your straws and whatnot. Totally annoying and nasty to say the least.

I have only come inside this location for order placing, so I can’t speak to the speed or quality of the drive thru. The interior is neat and clean, the baristas are friendly. The only odd part was a young lady with a stroller for a baby that contained no small child, but bags. Bags that were full and overflowing with her belongings. It was quite odd, in my opinion. Also, the sun was in full force shining in the front windows, and one of the window shades was completely missing. Just gone, which was not pleasant at all. The drinks I ordered came out quickly and correctly, which can be a bonus. This was just a fluke my being on this side of town, but I have been to this location in the past, and if I am ever thirsty and in the area in the future, I will be back. But, its a Starbucks. I will not be making a special trek just for this particular store.

They weren’t the fastest but weren’t the slowest either!. the one on terry parkway is really slow… much slower than this one. My boyfriend says they weren’t that slow and I am impatient in the mornings without caffeine lol. He’s probably right.

Coffe is same as every other Starbucks which is good but. I have been to this one twice this week and both times the wait has been far too long for the number of people in front of me. 30 minutes in the drive through is too long for coffee. I won’t be back for this reason.

If your in need of a latte, drive on by, their shots taste like burnt rubber! I have been a starbucks junkie for 10 years and this place has not delivered on 1 drink yet! I have given them many opportunities. Not to mention that they make your drink different every time, and they don’t care, you tell them and they just tell you why its right and your wrong. I have been drinking the same latte for 10 years, I know when it’s made right! I’m over it, wont be back.

Their drive thru is super slow, even when I was the only car. I ordered, she made my drink, I payed, a few other cars came behind me and I sat in my car and stared at my drink on the counter for 5 minutes listening to this lady take orders from the other cars. I guess she couldn’t multitask and just hand me my drink while taking orders. Oh well, at least she apologized for the wait lol.

I don’t really go to Starbucks very often and this place is the reason. Staff is rude and music is way too loud.

If you’re planning to study don’t even think about it. I can’t even hear myself think! The staff(mainly the guys) are so damn loud. Especially this one guy. I’ve seen him around for a while so I can tell he’s comfortable to say and do whatever he wants. Extremely obnoxious! His shift was over 15 minutes ago and he’s still lingering! I understand starbucks is not a library but I’m telling you … it’s impossible to be productive!

I come here because it’s the closest thing I got to my work place at the moment. It does the job, you know what to expect because it’s Starbucks. However, I don’t think this is one of the better locations. I mean, I’ve been to busier locations with fewer staff that move the drinks faster, and I’m taking into account the drive thru line too. The staff are generally very nice and accommodating, but not so much when they are busy, that leads to grouchiness and sometimes rudeness. This location has very nice indoor seating and the perk is a drive thru, but I go inside more often. Downside, slow in delivering drinks, even when it’s a downtime, and they’ve also gotten my drink wrong on several occasions.

This has got to be the worst location, but because it is the closest to my house… I will still go to this one. Messed up orders a few times, which is fine. Not anyone’s fault, but darn. Do not take your anger and place your rudeness on the customers! Drinks seem to be inconsistent. Every time I order a frap from this location, it’s watered down and not frozen. Lattes taste diluted. If I’m lucky enough I’ll be able to go on a day a good barista is working.

To be fair, I’m not really a Starbucks fan. This is conveniently located near my house, but otherwise, it’s really not convenient at all. The line in the mornings for drive-thru service and counter service are both absurd. It’s probably not as bad in the afternoon/evenings, but I only«need» a $ 5 coffee first thing in the morning. I would much rather drive down the street to J’aime Le Café. The options as far as flavor syrups may not be as extensive, but the wait is often much shorter and, IMO, the drinks are better. Plus, it’s local. So, why do I even go to Starbucks? For the most part, I don’t. They really got me with this whole ½ price Frappuccino happy hour promotion this past week, though. I’ll pay $ 2.50 for a grande frappuccino in the afternoon, and enjoy every sip. Sorry, though, once the promotion is over, so are my days of visiting Starbucks on a regular basis. I can’t justify the wait time in the mornings to pay full price for a coffee.

When it comes to coffee I try my best to stay local but I often find myself craving Starbucks’ unbeatable scones. When this happens I drive to this location and indulge. The coffee is good and the pastries are even better. It is always clean and totally friendly! For those that don’t feel like parking and walking 10 — 15 steps to get to the door of Starbucks, this one has a drive-thru. If you see a line don’t drive off, the line moves quickly.
