Sherman gallery has been framing for our family for over 20 years. They don’t just frame a picture or a piece of art. Framing itself is an art form with these guys. They’re so good at helping you choose style, color, and matting to really enhance whatever it is your framing. It takes the piece to a whole new level! Highly recommend!

Sherman Gallery is our go-​to frame shop, and has been for years now. These guys will work with you until you get it right, and no job is too big or small. The finished product is consistently on point.

Just picked up my prints from Sherman Gallery and this will definitely be my go to place now. They had great customer service. The girl who helped me was lovely and accommodating. With her design eye and attentiveness, she helped me pick the perfect frames and matting. They finished four days before they originally said and called me to let me know. When I picked up my pieces, they were efficient and helped me to my car. Yay for new artwork in my apartment!

Almost every print, poster, or art on our walls were framed at Sherman Gallery. And we just brought in about four more. We first discovered this place while living in Venice and despite our recent move to the Eastside, we love this place so much that we refuse to find a new framing place closer to us.
Everyone is so friendly and willing to help that you don’t feel bad at all for suddenly being so particular about that shade of natural wood you want for your $ 30 print. They also have about a million choices here so you can definitely go wild. And on top of all that, they will honor the 20% Unilocal discount every time you mention it.

Sherman Gallery is the most innovative and unique custom boutique framing gallery I have ever seen as evidenced by what they did for me in 2002.
I had just moved to Los Angeles, and I wanted to frame my Graduate degree diploma. At the time, I was serving in the Air Force, and I let Sherman Gallery know. They came up with a special aluminum brushed metal frame with industrial screws flush to hold things together to the dark cherry wood structure. It was inspired by the Air Force aluminum airframes used by the F-​15 Strike Eagle Fighter Jet. It was absolutely genius, and tailored to me and my occupation. The glass was high quality glass that keeps the integrity of the diploma paper through the years. The whole frame feels and weighs substantial, which makes the diploma feel even more rewarding.
I am always looking for a good excuse to come back to Sherman Gallery to frame my next important memorabilia. I think I have found one, and will be going back to Sherman Gallery definitely. I am confident that Sherman Gallery will be able to exceed your expectations as they did for me.

Martin Sherman (goes by Marty) is an outstanding business owner and this place is top notch. We went here because local galleries use them for matting and framing because of their excellent work and prices. Marty takes customers himself often and is very courteous. If you are doing more than one item you might have luck if you have a friendly negotiation on why your additional items might warrant a discount. This is important to us for larger orders. But the framing and especially the matting is what makes this place special. Check out the work in the photos etc. Thank you, Marty.

I had a TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE experience at this place. I spent over a thousand dollars here framing 9 posters. Their prices are very high but I thought it would be worth it for good quality. It was not. When I picked up my frames, some were scratched. They actually tried telling me «it’s supposed to look that way.» They then said if I had picked up the frames sooner they wouldn’t be scratched because they sat in a bin too long.
The one reviewer on here who called them «pretentious» is correct. They are not friendly and act like you should be honored that they are doing work for you.
I will take my framing elsewhere from now on.

Great spot. This is my go-​to framing store because the people who work here know what the hell they are doing and approach each framing project creatively as if the poster/​print/​photo will be hanging up in their own living room. Elizabeth is awesome.
Another plus, there is almost always easy parking right in front of the shop.

Just wanted to drop a little note, because every time I come to Sherman for frame work the service is not only friendly but, very educated in art and they always can help me deicide on great frames.
This last time Elizabeth was amazingly helpful she new exactly what would go with are art. I’d never go anywhere else.

I have used Sherman Gallery for all my framing after I found them. They are absolutely amazing! The staff will walk you through each step of the process and really care that you get what you are looking for. I used to use JoAnn’s but it was wayyy more expensive and much less customer service oriented.
I would never go anywhere but Sherman Gallery for framing! They are family owned and have been there forever so I know that I can trust them to be there in the future when I need them!

–1 for the not being able to find my prized artwork after they called us that it’s ready for pick up. wtf.
–2.5 for being so pretentious and rude when I asked for the receipt and the breakdown of cost. Sorry I wanted to make sure that the pricing was accurate and wanted the receipt. I didn’t know that I only get 1 invoice when I gave you the artwork to be framed. Certainly you don’t have to act all like it’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever asked for. Relax you ugly hipsters, learn some customer service and stop showing the customers your butt cracks.

The frames were decent except my prints weren’t perfectly flattened which makes it look sloppy.
If you like professional people, service, and product — don’t over pay here and go elsewhere! Unless you have a crack fetish, then come here.

Elizabeth was incredibly helpful, found just what I was looking for and suggested perfect mats and frames for the artwork at a very reasonable price. I’m never going anywhere else.

I have used this gallery to frame everything in our entire office building, and we use the gallery for our personal awards, wedding photos, and special things that matter. Their work is on time, economical, and always accurate. We wouldn’t consider going anywhere else.
My favorite part of the service that the gallery provides is the designer service. Sydney and Elizabeth have a fine eye for design and they’ve made suggestions which really enhanced the look of the many different art pieces we have brought in. Elizabeth is a sculptor herself and Sydney is an artist so I always feel like we’re in competent hands. So far we haven’t brought in anything that they couldn’t frame and make awesome!

Awesome place. Awesome people. Elizabeth is extremely helpful and has a great eye for colors and textures. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for state of the art, quality framing.

In my last review I complained about how after years of using their framing services, my last 4 – 5 frame jobs were let downs.
Since then, not only did they reach out to me to correct the mistakes, but also went as far as to comp me a free frame for my most recent framing.
I could not be happier with the way they handled the issues and really made me feel like I was a valued customer.
I can’t thank them enough. They really are some of the best in the city.

Check in on Unilocal and get 20%. Isabelle was helpful and looked through their encyclopedia of suppliers to find us the best available price. She was friendly and treated my fiancé very courteously and professionally and made her feel good about the purchase by complimenting her nails.
There is definitely negotiation involved in the prices so don’t just settle for the first number you hear. First we heard $ 118 as a late-​day guesstimate, but next day it turned out to be about $ 85 – 90. There are multiple percentages and add-​ons involved almost like buying a used car.
It’s interesting to see the process and there is a lot of artistry involved… you should give yourself some time to really look through options multiple times instead of just picking things quickly like I tend to do.

It had been about 10 years since I had something framed at Sherman Gallery, but I called them up when I was looking to get a poster framed quickly — and right before the holidays, too.
I looked at their site and saw that they were running an online special for a simple poster mount and frame ($ 40 for 24×36! Less than half of what Aaron Bros. quoted me on the phone…), so I ran over there at 1pm on December 22^nd, chose my frame and left, and I had it in my hands, beatifully framed and all kinds of perfect at 4pm on December 23^rd. How’s that for fast?!
So now I’ll look like a hero to my wife on Xmas morning when she sees this under our tree… she only had to ask me to get this framed 11 times over the past 6 months (See? I told you I’d do it!), Huge thanks for a speedy turnaround, Sherman Gallery!

I forgot the nice mans name that helped me, but everyone there seemed to be very helpful. We got our ketubah (marriage contract) framed here and it turned out beautifully. Honestly, they have options for every budget. We went with a cheap option since we had to get it done quickly and didn’t know exactly what we’d want long term. I’d say it turned out to be similar to if I went and tried to find a frame in a store for a similar cost, only custom! I’ll be back for future needs.
