I think this was a nice store, but I think they might have closed. I went there today and there were hand written closed signs on the door. Shame.

This is where I get my Indian grocery shopping done at. Good variety of Indian snacks i.e. Cookies, Samosas, etc.

Thought these guys were exceptional, but I feel the service has worsened through time. They are like any other Indian business in the area, unfortunately. The lady cashiers tend to be very rude and unhelpful despite being a regular customer here. One of them forgot to charge me for a 20 lb basmati rice bag so I went back to the store with my receipt the next day — along with another item I wanted to return– to settle the account. I spoke to one of the owners. No acknowledgement or gratitude for coming back and notifying them and on top of that– I got charged a dollar extra for the bag of rice, by the same lady that forgot to even charge me in the first place. That won’t stop me from being honest in the future, but if I were them I would have interacted differently with my customer who came out of their way to willingly pay for a purchase that was missed by the store person in the first place. Also– None of the fruits and veggies ever seem fresh at all. Go to the produce junction next door if you want fresh.

The selection of flour, lentils, and other dried foods here is ridiculously good. Don’t be intimidated to go in there, if you normally don’t set foot into an Indian store. Trust me, I’m the least Indian Indian person, and even I feel comfortable there! They have lots of frozen fruits and vegetables that you can stock your freezer with. For the people out there that don’t want to make the Indian desserts, they have prepared desserts like Gulab Jamun, Ras Malai, etc(both frozen and fresh). They even have fresh food like samosas there. The owner, Gulu, is extremely friendly too. I wanted to get pan to make ice cream, and he recommended just buying the pan ice cream instead, which he generously let us try! This place is also a great place to buy rice. One corner of the store is just dedicated to rice, which is glorious. I highly recommend the brand Dawat(extra long grain) if you get overwhelmed looking at the different varieties.

Didn’t know this was an Indian grocery store until recently(really thought it was a farmer’s market), pass by it everyday for work. Got a can of Kesar Mango Pulp for $ 2.99 to make Mango Pudding, which was much better than the $ 10 amazon was selling it for and i can inspect the goods first. Will come back for more mango pulp which i could not find anywhere else except amazon but it is overpriced.

I visit this market weekly for a stock-up on Lassi, Paneer, Naan, and Masala Spice Mixes(Soul & Mothers brands are the best. No Msg, Nitrates/Nitrites, or anything artificial and the sodium content is reasonable. Highly recommend) My first visit to Pardesh was it’s grand-opening week. I have to say I was very impressed and have continued to return week after week. Prices are reasonable on most items and there is a great variety. A personal plus is it is much closer to home for me than Asian Food Market or H-Mart (of which I prefer the latter and go monthly). That said, there are a few down-sides. Pardesh does not seem to have a high volume of shoppers, which has led to shelves starting to be left empty and the variety of goods had begun to diminish — management appears to have opted to stock the best sellers and not-reorder less popular items, which I find understandable. I give it 4 stars, they are doing a fine job for a small business. My main reasons for not giving a 5-star review: — No meat /fresh fish(Frozen fish is available). — Produce quality and variety has gone down-hill in the last few months.(Probably due to the lack of foot-traffic) — Hard to find an employee to ask for help /understaffed. — Many out-of-date items on the shelves, especially in the snack section.

For anyone interested in taking a stab at cooking Indian dishes, this place is a must. Traveling back and forth to London has made me realize that there is a dearth of good Indian food here in the city, but Pardesh gives you all the tools you need to create your own palate-assaulting recipes. Endless options for paneer, naan, samosas, chutneys… Couldn’t be happier this place is so close!

I revisited this store on 01/18/2016. Unfortunately, I was a little less impressed this time. Some of the shelves were empty. I didn’t even find the regular brand of lassis that I buy here. Make sure you also check expiry dates on the products you buy. The produce does not look too appealing. I bought cilantro once, which wilted in just a matter of hours. Overall, I still like this store, and like that there is plenty of parking and convenient location. But, they do need more selection.

I’m so happy I finally went here! Great Indian grocery store — wide aisles, clean, easy to find things. Helpful staff, and I need help sometimes because I’m not Indian. Excellent prices.

This place is a fantastic mix of Indian grocery store and farmers market, with the accordingly great prices on fresh veggies. For years I have gone to the very sad Subzi Mandi located on Haddonfield Berlin Road. Not only is that store pretty dingy but it often does not have fresh produce. I also once bought a package of frozen Indian food from there and when I opened it, it had quite clearly gone bad. Pardesh is like an Indian Wegmans. They have great produce that is very inexpensive and well stocked and brightly lit aisles. They have a huge frozen food section with tons of variety. They also sell little odds and ends that you might need for the Diwali or any other puja.

Can I tell you how much we love this store? WELOVETHISSTORE! I mean it is just fabulous. One of the things that comes part-and-parcel with ethnic grocery stores is the cost associated with importing such a wide variety of items. Increased costs for the grocer means increased costs for the consumer. $ 5 for a box of tea, $ 7 for spices… you know the deal. Well, not here. My husband and I had seen the sign when we were traveling to and fro and one day decided to stop. We were girding our loins, prepared for expensive curry and wilty produce. HA! WEWEREWRONG. OMG! The prices are *astounding*. Not just astounding for a specialty market, but astounding for just a regular grocery. The selection is out of this world. I was blown away. We spent over an hour on our first trip. The frozen food selection is great and nicely priced. The produce selection is vast, very fresh, and competitively priced. THe rest of the store… oh, if only my pantry were larger. An entire aisle devoted to dal. Every color, every size. The spice selection… the curries. Oh my. This is, hands down, the best place to shop. Hands down. The staff is friendly and every time we’ve come there’s been some home-made treat for sale just beyond the cashiers. Samosas, perhaps? At any rate, they were $ 1 a piece and we were stuffing them in our faces before we even left the parking lot. The photos are not deceptive. The store really is that well stocked and that clean. Please go and make these people profitable so they open stores everywhere around the country so that everyone can know the goodness of reasonably priced, high quality, large selection Indian food.

I had been meaning to stop by Pardesh, ever since I moved to the area and saw their sign from the highway. I loved the Indian grocer’s in my neighborhood in Philly and was hopeful about Pardesh. Suffice it to say, they blew me away. They are so much better than I anticipated! Of course, I was able to pick up the spice blends, teas, and paneer that I wanted, but we also found items that are tantalizing and delicious, but that I didn’t think would be here. My partner was even able to find the Cadbury sipping chocolate he’s been looking for since he last visited England! We’ve been inspired to try to cook more Indian food and learn more. Thank you so much for that! We’ll be back soon because we’re already planning menus for the coming weeks that will necessitate plenty of visits to Pardesh.

I am so excited about this store which took over the old Bally Total Fitness location in Maple Shade, in the same center where Lowe’s is. I popped in last week just to quickly check it out and I ended up buying a bunch of things. The store is large, clean and modern, well-stocked and nicely laid out. The staff are friendly and helpful. Although the name says it is a farmer’s market, in reality it is a large Indian grocery store. The fresh produce section is nice, but somewhat modest. Of course, being that I am not Indian, I have no idea what most of the items are, but I decided to purchase some spices and also some other items to try. I am interested in learning Indian cooking and now that this great market is nearby, I know that I will be able to find whatever ingredients I need.

I love to cook, and I’m not half bad at it. I’ve tried my hand at most Asian food, Thai, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, but beyond basic curries, Indian has been elusive. Today I wandered in this new market simultaneously delighted and overwhelmed. Half a cart later, my kid started her usual nagging when she saw a bag of colorful pasta. I politely told her there was no way I could cook them, «I don’t even know how to cook papadam.» The guy stocking the shelves piped ip, «Oh, that’s easy. You just microwave them for 30 seconds on each side.» WHAT? This guy was talking to me? Helping me? I was taken aback. After all, I had been shopping at Hmart for years, subject to the icy stares I received when asking for assistance from anyone other than the cashiers or the ajumma behind the bakery counter who snarled at me for touching her bread, but then motherly shoved creampuffs down my throat as I was leaving(she’s the only reason I keep going back). In short, I was not used to being helped, or at least not treated like a customer. Suffice it to say, I don’t speak Korean or Hindi, have no desire to learn, so I suck it up in these corners of my country where I’m schooled on what it feels like being the outsider. Anyway, by the time I had left, I had received enough assistance from the staff(and the owner himself), to create this lovely masala dosa with coconut chutney(my favorite)…and papadams, of course. I had no idea this would ever be an attainable culinary accomplishment. So if you are ever in the mood to take a culinary plunge, I highly recommend Pardesh.

A new Indian supermarket that has a wide variety of items for good prices. .I really liked the newness of the facility… I brought green chutney to try to make a green sauce… I will see how this works out. The produce is fresh and the store even has an organic section! Nice touch!!!

Stopped in to see what the new store in town had to offer. The store is very open, airy, brightly lit, and comfortable to walk thru. The layout is nicely done; if minimalist at times. The placement of items is fluid, so you are not having to run thru the store to locate something that should logically be right next to like things. I was impressed with the wide variety of processed, packaged, and dried foods that they have to offer. However, I was not overwhelmed with the offering of fresh produce. I would assume that a Farmers Market(At least in the title), would have a much larger selection of fresh items and fare for purchase. While the quality of the fresh items seems very good, the selection is somewhat anemic. Adding more fresh items would greatly increase my desire to return for weekly shopping. Their pricing seems to be all over the board. While some items are very nicely priced, others are extremely overpriced for the availability in other local stores.(I understand growing pains, and finding your niche in the local market, but they really have to take a better look at the pricing that they currently have.) Overall, I would return to the store for the items that I cannot source locally, spices, packaged items that are hard to locate in the South Jersey area, and to find out if they take special orders.(I have not tied this yet, but was told that they are ordering non-standard inventory items for some customers.) I believe that this store has promise, if they take some of the suggestions that have been given to them by the local community.

This store just opened around April 10th. Stopped by twice so far. Great start to this new business. It is an Indian grocery. One of the bigger selections of legit Indian groceries in the area. If you like to cook, you’ll be in heaven with all of the ingredients you can find. I was just happy to find a place in South Jersey with jaggery! I’ve spent a few months in India and so relieved that I don’t have to hoard spices in my suitcase on the way home the next time I go. Store is bright and clean. Not the hugest selection on produce on the planet but all the bases are covered and you’ll find whatever you need. Nice large frozen section with prepared dishes. The location is very accessible, being that it is on both 38 and 73. Don’t forget about the cut through road behind the Lowe’s to Lenola. The staff — SUPER friendly! Some bugs with the register system but what new store doesn’t have them! The manager welcomed me back the second time and had a brief conversation. Real friendly and they’ll be receiving my regular business. Good deals to be had, not sure if they are opening specials but everything else was reasonably priced as well.

Just came from there. Really nice and open. The staff was very helpful in finding anything you needed. Really grateful that it’s so close to me.
