This was your regular trip to Pier 1. I don’t get out this way much and I’m glad I don’t; the store was overly cluttered, the employees extremely busy(never a bad thing, but they seemed to be ignoring the customer because of it), and the selling of their credit card was horrific(I got asked four times if I wanted apply, when I already own the dang thing). The plus side to this location I found was that the manager is extremely friendly and loves to laugh, which is always good during a visit into Pier 1. Will I be back? Probably if I’m on this side of the metro again.

While I LOVE Pier One, I’m not a big fan of the sales staff at this store. At any other PO store, I’m greeted right away and offered help. Not this store. The funny thing is I knew exactly what I wanted! I came for a couch, wing chair and large painting. I had to wait for the sales associate to find the one picture in the back. No problem. She found it and I was happy she did! But then I waited to be helped with the couch. I had questions. I finally went back to find her and she told me that she wanted to wait on other customer. He was buying a set of dishes so it took a while to wrap them. Then she waited on someone else. I kept checking to see if she was free and she was waiting on yet another customer. Finally, she came and took the tag from the couch I wanted, rang up my $ 1100 tab(I can safely say the guy with the dishes didn’t drop this kind of CASH today) because I paid with debit, baby. I decided to skip the chair and just go somewhere else. Took wayyyy too long for the painting and couch. You’d think I’d get a helluva lot better service. Then when ringing me up, she asked me, no less than THREE times, if I wanted to «save 10% on today’s purchase» NO. I DONOT want a Pier One credit card. I was so disappointed at the way I was treated today. I love Pier One and I’ll keep shopping there. I’ll just hope I get a different sales girl.
