This is our fav happy hour spot. Great selection of beer including Freehouse’s brews. Creative menu. And Manny and Jack are the best bartenders ever!

Not much positive to say about this place… Poor service, poor attitudes, slow service, below average food. On the plus side, the restaurant itself was fairly well designed. A bit dirty, though.

My family and I used to eat here a lot(1−2x a week) but it hasn’t been as good over the past year or so. The chicken and waffles are salty. The poached eggs in the eggs benedict tend to have hard yolks. Other dishes(fish and chips, eggplant parmesan)!also tend to be salty. We haven’t been back for a couple of months and are likely not to do so.

Ever changing menu with unique items and GREAT beer list. Best place to eat in Maple Grove and very kid friendly too. Turkey burger is fabulous as are the chicken and waffles

This place has the best happy hour I’ve ever found. Great deals on a spectacular selection of craft beer and cocktails as well as some fantastic bar snacks(including cheese curds that put anything found at the state fair to shame). Do yourself a favor and eat here!

Small but great breakfast menu. I had the burrito and it was so good. Pulled pork, salsa, black beans, eggs and hash browns. They had a gluten free menu for my daughter with Celiac and her GF French toast was a huge hit with her. Helpful wait staff, very attentive.

I’ve have been here multiple times and each time it seems to go downhill a little more. This last time was my absolute breaking point when it comes to 3 squares. Our evening started off wonderfully, we had decided on this restaurant for two reasons: 1) we had a small cranky, picky, self-absorbed child with us and knew it was something they would eat(because not many places serve normal macaroni cheese or a hamburger without a bun cut into eight bit sized pieces), 2) you can usually never go wrong with the blue plate group(all of their other restaurants are fantastic). We entered the restaurant and sat around for around 5 minutes before we were greeted and seated; since it particularly warm out, we asked to be seated on the patio(mistake one). The patio was awful we were seated near a group of drunk men who did nothing but make vulgar comments towards me, my spouse, and the small child(luckily the small child has a large unobstructed mouth in which they tend to say things they shouldn’t, so the men were receiving unwelcoming comments back(probably not the best, now that I think about it)). We asked multiple times to be reseated inside, but each time we were told there was now room; when we commented to staff about the vulgarity of the words coming from these men, they simply shrugged it off. By this time, we had already ordered our food(so, just leaving was out of the question), we asked for it to be boxed and let the manager know we would never be back. The manager didn’t seem to understand that having customers yell at vulgar things at small children is not okay. At this point we were done, we got our bag of food and left. The food, oh the food, I don’t remember it; I do remember we didn’t like it much, but that’s about it. The restaurant was absolutely beautiful though; whoever designed it deserves an award of some kind(the I designed a well functioning and aesthetically pleasing restaurant award!). We also ran into a server we knew from a different restaurant we go to and haven’t seen for a very long time, so not everything was a bummer. Will I be back? Over my dead body!

This restaurant has some of the best food in Maple Grove. This is really a family restaurant, with many families out enjoying lunch or dinner… family orientated. This is not a chain restaurant, it is run by a local group that has a couple other restaurants… and they know how to make good food! Everything here tastes homemade, and I don’t know how they do it! The burgers are great, the salads are very good, and they have homemade cornbread(you have to ask for it with your salad!). They have a craft soup of the day which is really good(I have tried several, and I am a fan!). They even have homemade Peirogies! They have a nice bar with a good selection of beers on tap. They do have a happy hour with some nice apps and drink specials during the week. They have a nice patio as well. The wait can be long… so call ahead and get on the list, as weekends are CRAZY busy.

Went on a Tuesday night during trivia so it was pretty loud in there. After 10PM, only«happy hour» type of appetizers are served, not the full menu and only the bar area is open. Available foods after 10PM include mac & cheese, gorgonzola chips, bbq pork sliders and wings. Food was good, service was fine. Would come back. I didn’t see a parking lot. I think only street parking is available.

Let’s start off this place has a nice feel to it the service is good the food is alright. Most dishes will set you back about 16 dollars per person plus tip. It’s just not really that amazing for what it is I’d give it a 3.5 it’s just average maybe a little better and costs too much for what you get. Fast food is just getting a lot better and making places like this be too much for the quality food you get.

I come here breakfast, dinner, and happy hour. For each, I’m always happy with the food I get and the overall experience. I’m really big into breakfast, but always have a difficult time deciding what to get because I like so many different items on their breakfast menu. The killer banana waffles are very good, but may be too sweet for some. I always enjoy their eggs Benedict and find them better than other breakfast places. Their French toast is also a great choice. Pretty much can’t go wrong with their breakfast choices. I’ve gone to both happy hours before and after their dinner rush. I love the sliders since it comes with two and fries(basically a meal). The riblets are also a favorite of mine. For the desserts I’ve had the cheesecake, chocolate cake, and banana cream pie. The cheesecake was good, but nothing special. The chocolate cake was good, as was the deconstructed banana cream pie. Overall I really enjoy this restaurant. It’s always busy and in the summer the patio is lovely.

I went here yesterday. I like the restaurant overall. Food was good for the price. My friend order the poutine. It kind of just tasted like chili cheese fries. I had poutine before at other places and this one was totally different. Still good but definitely not legit poutine. My boyfriend had chicken and waffle. I really like the chicken and the gravy part but the waffle was a bit sweet and soft. I had the Mac n’ cheese added ham and tomato. It was good! Perfectly al dente noodles. Had bread crumbs on top to give it a little extra texture. My friend got some pesto pasta added chicken. It was amazing. I had a lot of pesto pasta and this one I would actually have again. It was flavorful and delicious. Don’t know what else I can say lol. My moms salmon was fantastic tho. Was perfectly cooked. And had this nice honey aroma to it. With this gravy on top by far the best dish I tasted during my visit. More on the pricier side but definitely would get it again! Didn’t knock any points for anything because in the end I think people should try the place. It’s a nice get together place. I didn’t taste anything bad so why knock it! s

I was impressed with the little restaurant off of main in Maple Grove. This restaurant is trendy and risky for suburban land, and I was excited to have something in the grove that wasn’t plain and run of the mill. I’ve been here before one summer and we sat on the patio. The only thing I really remember was that the patio was dog friendly. This time we ate inside(it was 30 degrees, almost warm enough for a Minnesota patio night). I tried the BBQ Salmon salad with cabbage, spinach and asparagus mixed with a chipotle ranch sauce. OMG it was tasty, I ate the whole thing. My brother had the chicken tacos. It was topped with a generous amount of guacamole and a side of black bean and corn salsa. On point. We then shared the deconstructed banana cream pie. At first I was against this, but it was amazing! The bananas were caramelized with walnuts and the banana cream was sooo creamy and flavorful, rich, but not too rich. A little dance party for your taste buds. The only minor complaint was that it was loud and hard to hear others at our small table. Other than that, the service was great and I loved my food!

Haven’t been since 2010, but it was amazing then! The menu changes every week or so and they always have something good going on. Great place for any occasion, but you’ll come back for the food alone! I’ve been probably 5 times and never had a bad experience.

I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 because in the context of Maple Grove restaurants, 3 Squares isn’t that bad. But if 3 Squares were in Minneapolis… well it just wouldn’t be. The food is meh, blah, etc. I’d rather pay half the price and go down the street to Panera or Chipotle, where at least I know that I’ll like the food. Don’t go out of your way to come here. We all know that Blue Plate restaurants are just the poor man’s Parasol.

It gets 2 stars for having the best craft tap selection in town(which isn’t saying much given MG establishments haven’t recognized the demand for good quality beer), but the food is lacking, both in variety and quality. Their desire to have the broadest selection of tap craft beer in town is a gift and a curse. Every time(literally) I go there, I try to order a beer or the off the printed drink menu and am told that they no longer have it. Why have printed menus if you can’t keep your brands in stock? Not always a big deal because there are other options, but an annoyance to be certain. I highly recommend that they implement the chalkboard above the bar method since the printed menu isn’t reliable or accurate. The staff is sometimes astute, sometimes careless, but overall service is fine. Come here for a few drinks, but I recommend elsewhere for food. Bonus for warm weather patio seating, you know, the 2 months a year that we get it.
