I gave this location the final try — EVERYSINGLETIME we go there they either mess up our order, don’t even say hello or yell at me — or all 3… and yes I said yell at me. I had to drive off a few weeks ago because a young man was SO rude to me that I was stunned. I had asked for a burger and fries and some honey mustard and the kid in a VERY snotty tone says«what do you mean» and I, very confused, asked«what do you mean, what do I mean? I don’t understand your question» kid(in an EVENSNOTTIERTONE): «well you could mean anything by that order OBVIOUSLY– are you asking us to put honey mustard on your burger or you want a side?» me: «seriously? Why are you being rude to me?» kid«you’re being rude ma’am, not me» me: «f*ck this — I’m not paying to be treated like this» and I drove off. I swore then to never come back, but it’s seriously the most convenient location that i let hunger win over reason. I came back today and I had to say hello into the intercom to remind her I was there — no hello or welcome to mcdonalds or anything, just a straight«what can I get for you» — NO eye contact by the order taker when I went to pay, not a thank you — NOTHING. Honestly though, it’s nothing new — we’ve had this treatment from the snotty children management is stupidly continuing to employ nearly every single time we come it. We used to alert management to the mistakes and treatment but they would just send us a coupon and nothing ever changed. This time though I’m done giving this trashy location business — Maple Grove is a better community than this — I say they fire every single employee as well as all of the management and start over, clean slate it — Remind these kids why they should be THANKFUL to have a job. I could seriously keep going on about it, but it does no good — hopefully someone will read these Unilocal reviews and take their business elsewhere so this place gets shut down.

Whatever the management at this location is doing, it’s not working. The food takes forever, the fries & nuggets are never fresh, and their burgers have been extremely salty. Maybe corporate needs to retrain this location? They are struggling. The McD on Bass Lake is always on point. I would go else where unless you like long wait times and want to be unhappy with your meal.

I recently moved to Maple Grove. My first experience at this McDonald’s: I had a craving for eggs but didn’t want to cook. So I thought I’d go to the McDonald’s drive through on my way out. I order a sausage«egg» McMuffin. When I stop to eat my breakfast what I got was a sausage muffin NO egg! What? They can’t make an egg McMuffin and remember to put an egg on it! I really wanted an egg so I call and complain. They did offer me a card for a free meal that I had to come back and pick up. Of course when I get there later in the day it’s a different shift and they have no record that there was a card for me. I show them my receipt and they grudgingly give me the card for the free meal. Second experience: in a hurry I decide To go to McDonald’s drive through again because it is close to the highway. I order one of the new sirloin burgers. They have 3 kinds. I order the the bacon cheese one. What do I get? The mushroom onion one. Third and last experience: I decide to use my free meal card for breakfast and go inside so I can make sure they give me the right food. Only one customer in line with only one order taker. It took 10 mins for the kid to get this mom and her daughter their order taken. Then she had a $ 100 bill. Needed someone else to put an override in the computer. The first person declined to help. Finally a manager comes and they take care of it. By now the menu has changed to lunch. I complain that it was the breakfast menu when I came in but they took so long on the one customer in front of me. Another manager offers me whatever they have left back there. I’m really not that picky so I take it. Needless to say I won’t be back. The customer service is bad and it’s not just me. The mom in front of me got her happy meal but not what she ordered for herself. The senior behind me just ordered coffee with cream on the side. He paid and he stepped aside to await his coffee. Another man comes up for a coffee refill and they get his coffee. The senior still hasn’t gotten his. He speaks up and the kid goes to get the coffee he forgot and puts the cream in, not on the side. There are plenty of other McDonald’s in the world so don’t go to this one!

McDonald’s is McDonald’s. You know what you’re going to get(a rapid infusion of salt and fat) and you know you’ll probably be sick for a few hours afterward. But, hey… the fries are addicting, so you’re probably going to go anyway. This particularly location boasts something extra: Riff Raff. Probably the only place with dirtbags and violent crime potential in Maple Grove is McDonald’s. Regardless of the time of day, there are delinquent kids running across Weaver Lake back and forth to McDonald’s(wearing pajama pants, stocking caps and sneering visibly at motorists in the area). My advice is to skip McDonald’s… skip fast food altogether and pack a lunch you lazy punks. Or you can roll the dice and convene with the Great Unwashed over at McDonald’s on the corner Elm Creek and Weaver Lake.

I’m not in the habit of reviewing fast food, but I think it’s always worth noting when a place is either A) exemplary(see my review of Arby’s in EP), or 2) an establishment I wouldn’t recommend to Hitler. Ouch. My first one-star review. I guess we know which one this McDonald’s is. My in-laws live in Maple Grove, so it’s convenient if I need to grab a quick fix of something to pad my Jesus abs. I’ve had two experiences in this particular McDonald’s. Pull up a chair, let me tell you about them. The first time I dined in this particular hellish establishment, I didn’t even dine. My lady and I walked in and there were a couple people in line. The people behind the counter were not only slow(which we can deal with), but very rude to the people in front of us. We could see that not only were we going to be here for awhile, we were going to get treated poorly all the while. We looked at each other and wordlessly read each other’s minds — let’s GTFO. So we did. And we took our business next door to Wendy’s. The second endeavor, I actually decided to brave the whole thing. The woman who helped me was a little older and actually said, «Welcome to McDonald’s» in a friendly manner. This wouldn’t be bad, right? She was fine, albeit slow. I had to repeat my order three times(it wasn’t that difficult), but that’s okay. I’m patient in times like these. So she gets my order in and I proceed to wait for literally 20 minutes. It wasn’t just me, it was everybody else. I think that they were more worried about the drive-thru, honestly. When I finally did get my food, the gal who gave it to me basically just shoved it at me. I just can’t stand that kind of thing. At least my order was right. I know working fast food sucks. I have a ton of respect for most people who do it because, despite it sucking, most people aren’t too bad. I can honestly say that this is one of the worst restaurants I’ve ever encountered. I expect more from McDonald’s.
