Great place to grab a burger to go or eat there. Ranks some of my best places to get a good fresh burger for a fair price cooked just how you want it. Also love the fries.

This used to be my favorite burger place. Now the portions are small, fries were awful and new management shouldn’t have changed the food. I won’t be back.

Giving 3 stars to new management. They are very nice however, the food does not taste the same at all seems like the recipe changed as well. Unfortunately we most likely won’t be returning. Best of luck.

Absolutely LOVE this place! The burgers are cooked so well, not too greasy like some places. If you go, get the chicken fried fried! Best thing ever!

My new favorite burger joint! Charming little hole in the wall, friendly service, great menu and clean place. Loved the homemade ranch dressing and fried mushrooms. Loved that the grilled onions were a free topping for my chicken sandwich.

This place is everything you want in a mom and pop burger joint! I just experienced Hide Out for the first time because my boyfriend’s Dad swears by this place and I see why. I looked up the menu ahead of time and saw that they won best burger in Mansfield in 2014 so I was excited. As soon as you walk in your mouth will start watering because it smells delicious. We were greeted quickly at the counter and the cashier was polite while I took a minute to decide what I wanted. I was stoked to get the option of fried pickles as my side since you don’t really see those on menus except for appetizers. Our burgers were delivered to us quickly and I immediately went for the fried pickles which were amazing! Perfectly crispy and the batter had a lot of flavor. My burger was great as well. I opted for a regular cheeseburger with all the toppings and I added jalapeños. Overall I was very satisfied with our meal and experience! I saw a milkshake on another table and if I’d had room for one I would have tried it because it looked amazing. Also, if onion rings are your thing those were delicious as well. I stole one(and they’re huge) from my boyfriend’s dad and was glad I did.

Hideout Burger is sitting in what looks like the newer developments in Mansfield. The new hospital and construction are bringing in strip malls and shopping centers. In the corner of one is the burger joint. Easy going appearance from walking in. Light decoration with wood booth seating along one side and the middle. Some table-and-chair seating on the glass. Relatively clean. Nice looking restaurant. The menu is a chalk board, which seems to be the thing now.(I get it. Prices, ingredients, etc. change and it’s better than the sloppy stickers over the original listing.) The menu is a full-on list of burgers, sides, and desserts. You’re sure to find something you can eat. For me, it was a usual mess of cheese, bacon, and peppers on my burger. Sweet potato fries to go with it. The girls at the counter were an understandingly disinterested crew. One was pretty friendly and the other was whiny and«too tired» to do her job. I wondered how the 5 – 6 hours of sleep she talked about wasn’t enough to get her through a shift on the cash register, but if we’re being honest, she’s probably a high school girl on her first job. I can understand her lack of enthusiasm. Either way, she got the job done and the friendlier one got our food to us. It wasn’t a long wait, either! Food is fine. I liked my food. The portions on the sides are smaller than I’d like, but everything tasted good. I’ll echo the sentiment before me that it’s a little overpriced. When you look at the board and see a $ 5 – 7 price on a burger, it seems fine. Add on fries and a drink and suddenly you’re well over ten bucks. Spending twenty bucks on lunch was unfortunate, but I can’t and won’t complain about the burger or fries from a taste standpoint. I wish we’d gotten a shake or onion rings. This seems to be the big thing here. I saw a plate of onion rings. They’re the big, fat kind. Looked pretty good. All in all, the was a good place, but not something I’d go out of my way for. If I were in that part of Mansfield, I’d probably stop in. And try the onion rings. And maybe a shake!

I enjoyed my food here. It’s definitely a tier above the fast food chains and in my opinion competitive with 5-guys & Mooyah. I feel that these burgers are less messy than Mooyah and just as cost efficient. The venue is not the most quiet but I feel it was appropriate for the lunch rush. The servers were polite and friendly. They didn’t talk your head off but showed they were happy you came to dine with them. The only area of improvement I’d recommend is that their French fries were cold by the time I got to eat them(I did take-out). That drive wasn’t that long and they shouldn’t have been that cold. People seem to rave about the onion rings anyway. I will also say that if u don’t like grease than u may not like this place, but then would you like any burger joint? I will definitely try this place again when I want a quick burger that’s good.

If you’re ever in the Mansfield area and looking for a good burger give this place a try! I got the mushroom swiss burger and it was delish! They loaded the burger up with a generous amount and size of mushrooms. FYI the burger itself is pretty big and patties are thick. Also, it’s always a plus to eat a burger without grease oozing and dripping everywhere. If you like chili cheese fries you’ve got to order them here! The half order is enough for two people. The fried mushrooms are also really good! But if you like to keep it simple, you can’t go wrong with the regular and sweet potato fries :) My boyfriend really liked the guacamole burger with bacon. A little bit messy because of the guac but nonetheless still delicious. We’ve been here twice and will keep coming back!

I had the grilled chicken sandwich. It was juicy and really tender. You have to try the onion rings. They’re hand battered and very juicy. They are some of the best rings in the Metroplex. I’ll definitely be going back to Hideout Burgers.

I really like this place. Good, big burgers. The buns are fresh. The service is fast. The prices are reasonable, and even cheap for the sides. The sides… I have only had the fried mushrooms. I will have them every chance I get. Made in-house, not frozen, which I have a hard time finding these days. And I ordered a half order($ 2!), and stuck with a child sized burger, so I’d have a chance at eating it all. It was a generous helping, which I could have shared, but I’m glad I didn’t have to. Even the kid-burger was very good, with green chilies, bacon(THICK cut bacon), and chipotle mayo. So. I over-ate. But it was worth it.

3÷23÷15, out of town visitor, came here on the reviews. Was not bad! Burger was a touch over done, but was still juicy. Had sweet potato fries w a side of the chipotle mayo, and a side of the ghost sauce. The ghost sauce is really hot, but like the one poster said, its no worse than atomic sauce at Wingstop, and for ME, lover of all things blazing hot, it was great. All in all pretty good. If not for the $ 12+ price tag, would give it 4 stars.

After driving by this place time and time again my boyfriend and I finally decided to try it! It was a very late dinner. We got there around the time they would be closing. I asked if maybe they could make a quick to go order for us, and if not it was totally cool. The two sweet women at the smiled and said they would do it for us no problem! We thought that was awesome as most places wouldn’t usually do that for just two costumers after a long work day! They talked with us the entire time. Very friendly people, had us leaving with a smile which is always awesome. The burgers were huge! Definitely bigger than I would prefer but very delicious! My boyfriend got the jalapeño burger — which I ended up wishing I had gotten myself instead of the bacon burger — and we got one side of fried pickles and one side of onion rings. They were both pretty«ok» for lack of a better word. If you like big, thickly battered, homemade style onion rings, they would be the side for you. Too salty/greasy for me! Great service, great atmosphere and GREAT burgers. We will be returning!

I would’ve given 4 stars if it wasn’t for the lady behind the counter, charging me $ 2 for ranch sauce. For an out of towner, getting used to the 8.25% sales tax is hard enough, let alone pay $ 2 for dipping sauce. I wasn’t really feeling this place while browsing the reviews and the pics, but when I saw fried mushroom and fried jalapeños, I had to try. So I drive the 3.5miles to get me some fried mushrooms that I suddenly started craving. I placed my order and when I got to the fried mushrooms, the lady asked if I would like ranch dressing to go with them. «Sure, why not» My jaws dropped when she told me the total was $ 17 and some change. I had to ask her to read me my order to make sure she got it correctly. Then she tells me they recently started charging for sauce, 50 cents. Which is fine, but it still didn’t add up. She starts going over the prices with me and tells me 2 sauces and 1.30 tax. She said she can remove one sauce, but by that time my card had been already swipped and I didnt want to make a big fuss, so I told her, if she already charged it, it was fine. While waiting for my order, I go over the prices she told me. I still wasn’t getting $ 17… what the heck! How much is food tax?! I walk back to the counter and asked for an itemized receipt(something that she should have given me in the first place). And there I see 4 line items for .50 cents. My order finally comes out(less than 20mins) and I see 1 container of sauce! I asked the gentlemen that handed me my food that I only received 1 sauce when I paid for 4. I must’ve had an irritated tone to my voice, cause he gave me a puzzled look and said«you want more sauce? Sure, I give you more sauce». Lol So, I leave thinking to myself this food better be good, paying $ 17 bucks for a burger for one. I almost reached my car when I hear my name. «J…J… Sorry only half your order is in your bag» and handed me another container. I literally would’ve raised hell if I had gone home to find out I didn’t get my fried jalapeños! — — — — — — — — – As for the food, Awesome Strawberry Milkshake.(They need those Boba tea straws for the huge strawberry chunks) Fried Mushrooms are to die for & the Fried Jalapeños have surpassed my love for fried pickles to first place. The Mushroom and Swiss burger is big. I could only eat a ¼ of it. It’s very good, but nothing special. ** One thing that I did appreciate was the lady letting me know that they are running behind and that it would take about 20mins before taking my order.

I went there with my son and nephew and ordered 2 cheese burgers and a hamburger, though I asked for the hamburger with NO onions I still got them in my burger. anyhow I took out the onions with my hand. the burger were BIG and tasted fairly good better than average, I give them 4 stars, the drinks though were expensive, I figured they made the price for the half priced burgers in the drinks.

The burgers are fantastic. And if you like onion rings or fried mushrooms this place is heaven! And they have some seriously spicy sauces for the chili-heads out there. My networking group meets here every other Wednesday, and we love it!

Went there because they have a big sign on the door advertising half price burgers, however was rather disappointed when the half price only was for regular hamburgers and cheeseburgers. So if you want a specialty burger like bacon blue cheese or whatever is full price. I thought this was a rip considering the sign. I was kind of over it at that point. I was with a group of people. Most got burgers. I got the fried mushrooms which were very good. The comment on the burgers were good but over priced. By the time you got a burger, fries and a drink you’re looking at $ 14, yikes!

Ummmm not the best burger in Mansfield. That award seems like false advertisement. My bf got the«Hideout Burger» first bite into it, it had a nice kick to it until it literally fell apart in his hand. The buns just broke and he was left with only the patty and like 20 jalopenos. He stopped eating. Obviously that burger was a disappointment. People review got us to try the onion rings… Nothing even special. Tasted like any other onion rings you can get at a fast food joint. Another fail. I got the mushroom shroom burger & fried pickles which was good. Nothing spectacular. All that was not worth 18 $. Eh not ever coming back, IMO why is this so hyped up, it’s not even that great. I could just go to Moo-yah across the street.
